£7,700 per annum (pro rata to £19,250) Contract: Fixed term for 1 year Hours: Part time, 2 days a week (14.4 hours per week) Location: Millbank, London About us The aim of Tate is to increase public awareness, understanding and appreciation of British art from the 16th century to the present day, and of international modern and contemporary art. The Photography department is responsible for recording Tate’s collection and digitising acquisition images. About the role This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with excellent administrative skills, to combine their organisational flair with a unique opportunity to support Tate’s photographic services. You will provide efficient and responsive administrative support to our photography team and administer and care for our collection of photographic negatives. Responsibilities will include providing administrative support to Tate’s photo request system, acting as the first point of contact for both internal departments across Tate as well as external suppliers and managing general correspondence. About you Having already spent some time working in an office environment you’ll be confident and efficient at using and improving filing and retrieval systems. IT literate with excellent MS Office skills, you’ll also be comfortable dealing with numbers (spreadsheets, invoices etc.). Whist not essential, knowledge of photographic terminology and awareness of issues relating to the care of photographic materials would be an advantage. In addition, your friendly manner and flexible attitude will make you an asset to the team. Our jobs are like our galleries, open to all.
