About us:
The Global Poverty Project seeks to catalyse the movement to end extreme poverty by clearly, simply and deeply communicating the challenges and opportunities of ending extreme poverty. Our mission is to increase the number and effectiveness of people taking action to end extreme poverty by developing tools that will inspire, inform and equip individuals to take action. The group has been established in the UK since November 2009. 

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated intern to join our Events Management Team as a Summer Engagement Volunteer.

You’ll have a strong interest in events management and working with volunteers.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, as is the ability to clearly present material in a persuasive and interesting way.

Personable and proactive, you’ll be able to foster strong communication links with our regional event volunteers.

You will be able to commit to at least 2 days a week in our London headquarters until the end of September.

What we can offer you:
It’s a very exciting time at the Global Poverty Project as we prepare to launch our new campaigns! The Summer Engagement Volunteer will play an integral role in encouraging thousands of people within the faith sector to take action to end global poverty, whilst gaining valuable professional skills and experience. This is an unpaid position but we will cover all reasonable travel expenses.
