Supporter Relations Officer

Job Description

Founded in 1969, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) saves individual animals, animal populations and habitats all over the world.  With projects in more than 40 countries, IFAW provides hands-on assistance to animals in need, whether it's dogs and cats, wildlife and livestock, or rescuing animals in the wake of disasters. We advocate saving populations from cruelty and depletion, such as our campaign to end commercial whaling and seal hunts.

Our Supporter Relations Team provides a first class professional service to IFAW supporters and the public using a range of communications to promote IFAW's mission, and build active networks of supporters for our campaigns.

We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Supporter Relations Officer to join our team in London SE1, who can apply best practises to steward supporters and the enquiring public, acquire new donors, sustain long term loyalty, foster donor retention and satisfaction.

Candidate Essentials
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and writtent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex details sensitively and effectively
  • Proficency in Windows-based applications and donor/fundraising databse systems (Team Approach) a plus
  • Empathy wth the cause of animal welfare and a strong commitment to promoting IFAW's mission
