Stroke Support Co-ordinators | Cornwall

Home-based with hot desk facilities in Liskeard, St. Austell and Truro

1 part time x 21 hours per week | Salary £12,883

The Cornwall Stroke Support Service is a partnership between Connect the communication disability network and the Stroke Association. This peer led service is looking for two new Co-ordinators to join its team in Cornwall to provide information, advice and emotional support tailored to the needs of service users and carers and to achieve stroke support for the people of Cornwall through a structure of mutual reciprocity and community support.

You will have a background in health, social care or the voluntary sector, with knowledge and understanding of the issues related to people living with stroke/aphasia.

You must have the ability to communicate with people at all levels, have good listening skills, excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach and be a strong team player. A good telephone manner, together with administrative and IT skills are essential and you must be a car owner/driver.
