Type: Three month contract
Salary: £29,800 per annum

Our client is a unique and growing charity which focuses on three vital areas for older people: Advice, Befriending and Campaigning. They have around 90 staff and 1,500 volunteers across the UK who provides information, advice and support for thousands of older people, their carer's and families. They offer a national telephone and email advice service on social care, benefits and befriending.

They are currently looking for a Telephone Advice Supervisor to join their team in West London to lead and support a team of four staff. Your responsibility will be to provide a high quality telephone service providing information on benefits, social care and befriending services whilst also taking a supervisory role for a first tier team. You will be expected to utilise your internet, email and letter writing skills to communicate effectively and support older people and their families, friends, carer's and other professionals. Research will be a required activity as well as recording accurate information.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and positive with a good telephone manner and strong communication skills, as well as good knowledge and understanding of benefits that affect older people. Previous experience in a supervisory role and advising older people is also essential, covering the social care sector. Good organisational skills and the ability to provide advice and guidance is also required.
