About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will promote and increase engagement with the Humberside ABC Service. The Humberside ABC service will provide services to anyone affected by crime and as an Engagement Officer you will work alongside our team to enhance the offer we provide by managing volunteers, promoting the service and working with our partners including the police.

As an Engagement Officer you will be responsible for:

• Recruiting and managing a diverse team of volunteers including Criminal Justice Champions (CJCs)
• Promoting the work of the service through events and presentations
• Providing training and awareness sessions to partner agencies including Humberside Police
• Maintaining and developing our online presence including updating website information and controlling our social media accounts
• Income generation and identifying fundraising opportunities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is motivated, engaging and innovative. You will play an integral part in developing and embedding our Criminal Justice Champion (CJC) and Victim Friendly Organisation (VFO) programmes across Humberside to ensure that victims have a voice within the criminal justice system and organisations are promoting victim's rights and voices.

You will attend events, network with other agencies and develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external colleagues, community groups and other identified audiences. This means that although the role is home-based, regular travel is required within Humberside and occasionally across the wider region.

Some of the key results for the role include: 

• To provide pre tenancy guidance and ongoing support to customers on all tenancy matters, including assistance to furnish and move into properties. 
• To enable customers to abide by their tenancy agreements, giving advice and assistance on dealing with police and courts where this relates to housing matters. 
• To provide basic Welfare Benefits advice, assisting customers in claiming all benefit entitlements and assisting with accessing specialist support. 
• To work with customers to identify the skills required to manage their own tenancy, including assistance to deal with difficult situations.

Overall Duties of the role will include:

• Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT

The Engagement and Activity Practitioner (EAP) will work closely with the children and young people in the care of TACT foster carers across the North West. The Engagement and Activity Practitioner will facilitate opportunities for participation by organising, and, attending, events and trips that are in line with the children’s interests, developmental stages, and abilities, inclusive of children with additional needs. The Engagement and Activity Practitioner will continue the development of the children’s buddying club, for children to meet on a regular basis and share their views, ideas, and interests for TACT as an organisation to meet their needs.

About the role:

Your role as a TEIO will be to answer and speak to incoming callers as well as to hold a caseload and make outgoing calls to those affected by crime. You will be the primary contact for the Hub across Humberside and will be the face of the service.

As a TEIO, you will;

• answer incoming calls, speak to those affected by crime and hold a caseload
• make outgoing calls, assess needs and risks and action plan with callers
• work on the case management system to allocate cases, provide administration on cases and assess/ensure data quality
• liaise with other agencies where required to find out more information, give information or make referrals or give signposting information
• work with the wider team to ensure an effective, trauma informed service is given to those affected by crime

You will be a confident, compassionate and empathic person who can work well under pressure. You will be speaking to people who may be upset, angry or in emotional difficulties and will need to be composed, empathic and be able to quickly assess situations.

You will be confident in using your IT skills to work on a case management system, access phone and online systems, email and Microsoft Office programmes.

The SDA role is a crucial one, to ensure the efficient running of the service and support the frontline staff to provide an effective service.

• provide an administrative function to include administration of cases and referrals including updating case management systems and communicating with referral agencies to gain further information
• Raise purchase orders, deal with invoicing and purchasing
• Work with the management team and staff team to ensure adherence to policy and procedure including health and safety checks and audits
• Monitor some HR functions such as DBS checking, working with the police vetting unit and ID checking

Lowther Street Crisis House is the only community crisis house in Cumbria. The service was established to provide a unique alternative to psychiatric admission. The project delivers a holistic package of support in a safe, comfortable and supportive environment without the stigmatizing effects and restrictions of hospital environment.

Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether it’s developing their domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, one thing’s for sure ‐ you will have every chance to shine.

No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided, although candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties.

Healthwatch Croydon is the local champion for Health and Social Care, commissioned by Croydon Council to hear the views of patients and service users. The Healthwatch Croydon Research and Engagement Officer will work closely with the Engagement Lead and Communications Lead to take forward the work of Healthwatch Croydon on resident engagement and research. THE ROLE 
The Croft Woodlands Project is a partnership initiative between Woodland Trust Scotland, Point & Sandwick Trust, Scottish Forestry, Scottish Crofting Federation, the Woodland Croft Partnership, Shetland Amenity Trust, Orkney Woodlands Project and Communities Housing Trust. The aim is to engage crofters in woodland creation and management on their holdings to deliver multiple benefits in terms of biodiversity, agricultural diversification, landscape and environment. This role receives generous support from Point & Sandwick Trust.

The Project Adviser will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Croft Woodland Project in Lewis and Harris, and will engage with crofters, common grazing committees and other land managers to take forward woodland schemes. The focus will be on woodland creation, but the role will also involve the provision of woodland management advice. The Adviser will work closely with colleagues, the principal project partners and an external Project Advisory Group to develop relationships, deliver events, and promote woodlands on crofts. 

This role is a 0.5 part-time post (18.75 hours/ week), working closely with the Croft Woodland Adviser for the Uists and Barra and the other members of the Croft Woodland Project team. 

Initially, a company vehicle will be provided for this role, starting with a hire vehicle for the first 6 months in post. After this initial 6-month period we will review vehicle business use to ensure the post-holder is complying with the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy.  If the post-holder complies with those criteria, a longer-term lease vehicle will be sourced and provided.

THE CANDIDATE
With experience of developing and delivering woodland creation and woodland management schemes with a focus on island/croft sites, you’ll have a good understanding of woodland and croft grant schemes and of crofting in Scotland. 

You’ll have experience of advising and working with crofters, communities, land managers and woodland owners and of working with contractors and consultants. Self-motivated and flexible, you’ll be able to plan, organise and manage your own workload and develop ideas that further the work of the project.

Our consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home.

The Role:

The Marketing Assistant will play a key role supporting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing the integrated communications strategy and providing marketing support for the promotion of hospice services and income generation activity.

Your day-to-day tasks will be varied, but typically will include assisting with delivering our social media calendar, creating engaging content for use across our communication channels, writing copy for press releases and arranging photo calls, assisting in print and publication production, and updating content on the website.

What you need:

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar marketing role or have a qualification in marketing or communications and demonstrate a strong team ethic and creative flair. You must be highly organised and have excellent communication and relationship building skills. You’ll need to be able to work well within a busy team and able to work on a number of projects simultaneously.
