Major Partnerships Manager

VSO brings people together to fight poverty by delivering innovative development programmes in 44 of the poorest countries in the world. Through our volunteers, we harness the talents, enthusiasm and skills of ordinary people to bring about lasting change.

The purpose of the role is to develop and implement a strategy for growth in major partnerships (government, foundations, and high net worth individuals) in Scotland, securing new and building on existing relationships in order to raise income. We are looking for a dynamic and committed individual to lead this exciting new area of work. 

Leading VSO’s income mobilisation in Scotland, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, approaching and managing relationships with philanthropic partners, who have a passion to end global poverty.

You will need to be an experienced income generating professional and an excellent communicator and networker. You will be skilled at building strong relationships and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent judgment, and representational skills, and an entrepreneurial and independent working style will be critical.  Experience of international development and programme funding is also essential.
