Job Description

Our client is an international charity based in Milton Keynes. As a management accountant in this dynamic and growing charity, you must be a part qualified Accountant and a committed practising Christian or somebody who has an understanding of the organisations ethos and sympathetic to such belief. Consolidation of income and cost data for external stakeholders to facilitate business partnering to senior management is a key role within this post. The role will involve supporting the function on income and investment monitoring and budgeting, building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with business teams and supporting and training line managers in understanding and interpreting financial information, answering any questions they may have, whilst challenging assumptions. Focus will be on improving the sturdiness of forecast information, along with the review of key processes and procedures, to recommend improvements particularly to improve budgeting, forecasting and the development of reporting systems. Developing financial and non-financial Key Performance Indicators and activity based costing analysis will also be required. The support of Product Managers in the development of new income generating models will also be a key focus within this post. Posting accruals, the reconciliation of bills and credit notes will initially be expected within the first couple of months. The successful candidate will be part qualified with a proven ability to work with non- financial professionals in a business facing role, who can initiate a challenge to assumptions using initiative and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The individual will be able to build strong and effective relationships, and have good systems and analytical skills.
