About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £5m to keep our doors open and only around 20% of our income comes from government sources? The rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.
The role:
In your role as Regional Fundraising Manager, you will lead and develop a team of 7 to raise invaluable funds and brand awareness of the hospice. Working with the Income Generation and Communications Director you will work towards a devised strategy for fundraising across key income streams including Events, Corporate and Community. You will plan an annual fundraising calendar of activity and campaigns and work to agreed KPIs and objectives to build a resilient and robust income plan, managing and supporting your team to achieve these objectives. Taking the lead for corporate engagement you will both develop new relationships and nurture existing supporters.
As part of your role as a manager you will be a strong advocate in teaching and demonstrating Bluebell Wood’s culture to your staff and those around you, embedding the vision of the hospice in everyone who works with us. You will play a leading role in the organisation’s strategy implementation, giving real focus to how your team plays a part in this, whilst enthusing your team to be the best version of themselves, empowering people to succeed at their role.
This role is full-time and permanent and comes with a range of excellent benefits including 33 days annual leave. This role is based at the hospice is based in Sheffield and the charity will offer a blend of office/home/remote working.

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded individual to become our Operations Manager. You will have experience of working in a senior role in the areas of operations, HR and governance. You will help the charity comply with health and safety requirements, safeguarding best practice and data protection and lead in developing organisational policies.
You will have a passion and flair for improving operational processes and efficiency, administering CRMs, and monitoring and evaluation to ensure we operate in the most effective way. You will not shy away from problem solving operational challenges and thrive in supporting the core team (of 10 staff) to ensure the smooth running and ongoing development of the organisation. Responsibilities include:
HR & Training
- Lead the organisation’s HR function, keeping abreast of latest guidance in employment law and HR legislation and act as the lead liaison with Croner external HR support;
- Ensure employment practice is legally compliant and fair (including management of recruitment, selection and onboarding, flexible working, diversity & equal opportunity, disciplinary/grievance, termination), with a focus on being a fully inclusive employer;
- Oversee monthly staff salary payment and coordinate with external payroll provider;
- Oversee arrangement and monitoring of staff training and lead on implementing staff wellbeing initiatives eg. socials, team building days etc;
- Coordinate regular team meetings and arrange meeting venues where necessary, to ensure effective communication and mutual support.
- Oversee any organisational structure reviews and ensuring a system is in place for staff to receive regular and motivational feedback, and feel supported and able to perform their role;
- Review, update and create risk assessments and organisational policies on a regular basis to incorporate latest government guidance and legislation (eg. Health & Safety, Safeguarding) and ensuring they are reviewed by the Board on a regular basis;
- Lead on organisation’s DBS process, supporting core team to keep an overview of outstanding DBS checks needed in their project teams;
- Act as MIH’s Safeguarding Lead – conducting regular reviews of safeguarding policy and procedures, overseeing safeguarding training for staff and volunteers and completing regular refresher training to comply with best practice;
- Data Protection Lead - ensuring Data Protection Policy is updated and adhered to by everyone in the organisation, regularly updating and responding to any data breaches;
Salesforce Admin
- To be the main point of contact for technical support and training needs for core users, and to develop the Salesforce platform to improve organisational efficiency, relationship management and income generation. Training will be provided to support this role.
- Act as the system administrator and manage admin functions including assigning new users, creating reports, dashboards, surveys and application forms etc;
- Onboard and train new users, and grow level of expertise among the core team;
- Implement custom features when new work streams/programmes are set up and as organisational needs grow;
- Oversee support partnership with external technical support and training provider.
- Support the Fundraising Manager and Community Programmes Manager with the creation of reports and dashboards in salesforce to present programme outcomes for funder and trustee reports and the MIH Annual Report;
- App Integration – use apps such as Mailchimp and 123 Form Builder (survey software) and integrate with Salesforce
Governance and Strategy
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to Leadership Team meetings where appropriate.
- Contribute to strategic discussions on the future path of the organisation.
- Lead support to Board of Trustees assisting Chair with trustee meeting, keeping Charity Commission website updated, and assisting with trustee recruitment, induction and training, and board reviews etc;
- Act as the lead staff team representative on Resource & Remuneration board sub-committee
Venue Management
MIH has a part time Venue Manager who is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the ‘Liberty Hall’ kitchen venue. The Operations Manager will oversee them and support on key areas of venue management in the following ways:
- Manage relationship with venue partner ‘Clapton Commons’ to ensure key services of venue are running smoothly and represent MIH in oversight committee meetings;
- Ensure venue and office equipment is safe to use and repaired/replaced/PAT tested in a timely manner;
- Ensure venue meets latest Health & Safety requirements, Fire Safety Standards and is fully accessible;
- Support acquisition of new kitchen equipment when required, such as ovens, hobs etc either from a donated source or purchased from a supplier;
Finance
- Organise quarterly budget meetings between core delivery team and Finance Manager to go through budget and expenditure;
- Ensure finance team understands the requirements and deadlines of board meetings and provide reminders to them for preparing the required financial reporting.

About the role
This role is responsible for managing and developing the charity’s portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, securing significant gifts and growing the long-term potential of this portfolio (target for 2024 is £378,000). There are no direct reports, however the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Senior Management Teams, other departments and stakeholders to build and develop cases for support to help fund our much-needed work.
The successful candidate will utilise their expert writing skills to shape those cases for support into compelling, high-quality proposals and reports.
Being able to build relationships with a wide range of audiences including funders is key. Inspiring them to support kidney patients across the UK and engage with the kidney community, enabling them to tell their stories and better communicate how larger Trust grants can make a real difference for people with chronic kidney disease.
A dynamic, self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active fundraiser is required for this role, demonstrating enthusiasm for the projects and services we are seeking funds to support.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience and a proven track record of successful income generation and delivering against targets.
You will have demonstratable experience in researching potential Trust funders, submitting compelling proposals, securing funding and project managing successful bids through to completion of the grant award.
You will also have a background in report writing and demonstrating grant impact whilst being able to build relationships with funders, individual/major donors and senior stakeholders.
Experience of providing excellent supporter care, building mutually beneficial long-term relationships with funders is a must for this role.
Key responsibilities
Research and process management
• Work closely with our Director of Patient Support Services (Patient Grants, Hospital Grants,Advocacy and Counselling) to fully understand our work, and with our Director of Finance tofully understand the costs of delivering our work
• Build strong cases for support, ensuring that you have all the information needed to createcompelling proposals and reports for high and mid-value funders
• Research and identify prospective Trusts and Foundations and other grant giving bodies
• Grow and maintain a strong Trust funding pipeline, creating new Trust prospects for our priority funding areas
• Develop our long-term Trusts and Foundations strategy, and agree ongoing budgets andtargets for this income stream
• Maintain accurate records including tracking and analysing opportunities, results, and outcomes
Fundraising
• Identify and manage a pipeline of high-value prospects and opportunities which have the potential of delivering five and six figure grants
• Work with colleagues across Kidney Care UK to develop and submit high-value and high-quality Trust and Foundation bids for a range short, medium and long term projects
• Develop relationships with the Senior Management Team and other key stakeholders across the charity maximising every opportunity for cultivation and development
• Plan and organise opportunities for funders to view Kidney Care UK’s work first-hand, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed and met.
Reporting
• Compile comprehensive and compelling progress reports to feed back to grant makers in atimely fashion and incentivise continued support
• Alongside the Director of Finance prepare accurate budgets detailing spending of specific grants
• Draw down on any multi-year grants as outlined in our annual budget
• Provide briefing notes and income pipeline on donor activities and potential funding opportunities.

RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have almost 1,800 members from more than 90 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.
The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.
The Membership Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we are promoting RSTMH, and its membership offer, to our members and supporters. This person would be the first point of contact for our members and so must be professional, a sound communicator and efficient.
Part of this role involves creating policies and processes to ensure members feel valued at each stage of their journey with RSTMH, developing new marketing products and materials for recruiting and retaining members where necessary.
The successful applicant will have Membership management experience within a relevant charity or learned society setting and will relish the opportunity to take on a new challenge, working on their own initiative for much of the time.
The role

JOB PURPOSE: As Supporter Engagement Manager, you will lead the Supporter Engagement Team developing the strategy for delivering exceptional donor journeys for our supporters. You will be responsible for leading on delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that all supporters are engaged with appropriately and receive exceptional supporter care and are encouraged to continue their support. Data capture, accurate income processing and timely thank you acknowledgements are key to this role. Managing and evaluating the trends of our supporters through this captured information to better engage people with the charity long term. You will continuously improve processes and procedures to ensure all our donors and supporters have a great experience supporting Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
SALARY: BAND L £36,334
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement a Supporter Experience strategy, consulting with colleagues from across the charity to set clear long-term and short-term objectives, with KPI based engagement targets.
· Monitor and review team performance against these and provide regular reports to the Income Generation and Communications Director.
· Recruit and manage your team effectively to deliver excellent supporter engagement across all channels including telephone, email, postal and social media enquiries.
· Manage and support the reception department for the Hospice, ensuring that this functionality delivers the key objectives set out by the Supporter Engagement strategy, proving excellent family and customer experience at every touch point.
· Carry out regular one to ones and appraisals and have clear objectives and meet agreed KPIs, within agreed timescales.
· Be responsible for ensuring supporters receive the highest standard of customer service and that all Bluebell Wood fundraising income is processed, thanked, and banked in a timely manner.
· Ensure all requests for materials from supporters are fulfilled in line with the specific supporter journeys and provide support and advice to our supporters with their fundraising activity.
· You will be responsible for the Supporter Engagement budget; setting, monitoring, and reporting on income and expenditure. Taking action to address overspends, manage resources, and capitalise on opportunities.
· Be an active member of the Income Generation management team, working to devise and deliver a clear supporter experience and create effective and engaging supporter journeys for all audiences.
· With your team ensure timely and compliant recording of financial and personal information.
· Lead on the monitoring, reviewing and standardisation of processes for recording, banking and acknowledgement of income, supporter contact and preferences, complaints, and enquiries.
· Ensure the Supporter Engagement Team adhere to GDPR and all other appropriate regulatory and legislative guidelines.
· Take responsibility for the recording of fundraising income onto the CRM and produce reports and analysis when required. Working closely with Finance to regularly check compliance with audit requirements and review and code all income correctly.
· When required, provide the Income Generation and Communications Director with timely information to address the resolution of all complaints received ensuring satisfactory conclusion, recorded learnings.
· Keep abreast of developments and remain up to date on changes in supporter care protocols to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of Supporter Experience within the sector.
· Provide support to the wider fundraising team by attending events and representing Bluebell Wood at supporter events/engagements/conferences.
· The Supporter Engagement Team will act as the volunteer supervisors for the fundraising team, supporting with the administration and co-ordination.

The Gift Processing Manager works within Supporter Services, with line management responsibility of the Gift Processing Coordinator. You will manage and have oversight for all the processing of donations, and will ensure it is processed to a high standards, along with the successful monthly reconciliation.
You will collaborate with diverse teams on new fundraising projects and initiatives to assess how Gift Processing can best assist and add value, delivering training sessions to new starters, explaining sometimes complex financial processes to various stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for creating collaborative working environments, with interest in the nature of charitable giving and a background in financial administration, fundraising finance, or charity supporter services.
You will deliver high quality analysis, reports and dashboards for a wide range of stakeholders – ensuring they are equipped to drive improvements to their programmes. Your analysis will result in learning being shared across directorates, and with the rest of the data team you will ensure the structure and quality of the data they hold aids future analysis.
To be successful in the role you will have experience of using data from CRM databases such as Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce. You will have the ability to work systematically and accurate under pressure, as well as be an excellent team player who is willing to be flexible to support the wider team.

We are looking for a part qualified Commercial Finance Analyst to join Cancer Research UK's Finance team to deliver insightful reporting and financial planning for our Retail & Trading teams.
Our growing network of 600+ stores, superstores, and distribution hubs raised £127m in 2022/23 towards our life-saving work, and we're investing significantly in the expansion of our new (e.g. eBay, ASOS Marketplace, and Depop) making this a diverse and exciting area. You will use your financial planning, modelling, and reporting experience to provide analysis and decision support to various initiatives and projects across Cancer Research UK, and support the forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning for a large cost-centre base throughout the financial year. You'll also collaborate closely with the team's management accountant to ensure a joint approach to financial reporting/planning and analysis.
This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified Finance Analyst with multisite experience to gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder relationships while being supported with your studies to become a qualified accountant. What will I be doing?
- Producing the planning and reporting for our Retail & Trading teams (600+ cost centres). This will involve understanding variances, providing accurate insight into the financial performance of these business areas; and supporting the forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning throughout the financial year.
- Providing analysis and information to support decisions, projects, and business cases with the support of both the Retail Finance Manager.
- Supporting the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and Finance Managers for your business areas.
- Building strong relationships and clearly communicating financial information with non-financial stakeholders across the Retail & Trading teams to enable the organisation to own and take responsibility for their plans.
- Analysing trends and performance to feed into forecasts and long-term financial planning.
- Producing and communicating analysis that turns data into insight to financial and non-financial audiences while understanding the 'so what' and questioning 'what's next?'
- Collaborating closely with the Management Accountant for your business area to ensure accounts are complete and correct, and analysing management information to find efficiencies and improvements.
What skills will I need?
To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in the UK as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
- Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/ CIMA/ ICAEW or equivalent)
- Produced financial planning within a large, multisite organisation (100+ sites/ cost centres) that receives a high volume of daily transactions/ sales (this can be in a non-Retail industry such as hospitality).
- Experience in delivering financial planning, modelling, and reporting (including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting).
- Supported a budgeting and forecasting cycle throughout a full financial year.
- Built strong business partnering relationships with an ability to clearly analyse, present, and explain financial information and extract key issues with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Can set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and effectively managing expectations.
- IT Literate and comfortable manipulating data in Excel (e.g. v-lookups, index match and Pivot Tables)

The Opportunity:
• Reporting directly into the Head of Partnerships, the Charity Partnerships Manager will manage the relationship with new and existing charity and community partners across the Motiv UK portfolio.
• You will be responsible for selling, upselling, and renewing partnerships, as well as managing key relationships.
• You will ensure agreed activation plans are executed, working closely with the Motiv UK marketing and operations teams.
• You will lead on the creation of annual reports for each partner, in doing so by ensuring all contractual rights are being delivered according to each contract.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identifying potential targets, creating materials, and attending pitch meetings to support with the securing of new deals
• Delivering a fantastic service to all Motiv UK charity partners and community groups
• Managing multiple relationships to ensure partner contractual rights are delivered to the highest possible standards
• Ensuring operations, customer experience, and marketing departments are aware of the contractual obligations of charity partners
