This newly created role will be part of our Corporate Performance team and will lead on the next phase of a groundbreaking project.This role sits under the Forest IQ team, along with two researchers and the Forest IQ Lead. This role will support the operational smooth running of the team, with a particular focus contracting and onboarding Forest IQ’s users. 

Forest IQ provides major data-service providers and financial institutions with market-leading data about corporate performance on deforestation, conversion of natural ecosystems and associated human rights abuses. This will enable financial institutions to identify risks and opportunities to help them to deliver deforestation free portfolios by 2025.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

The Individual Giving Manager (Retention) will work within the Public Fundraising Team and play a key part in growing and sustaining income from our individual giving audiences of cash donors and regular giving supporters. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager (Acquisition), Supporter Care Officer and Database Manager and will be responsible for the development, project management and delivery of the supporter retention, renewal and stewardship program. This is a great role for someone with existing individual giving fundraising experience, who would like the opportunity to use analysis and insights to develop and shape retention and stewardship activity, with the drive to deliver a program which aspires be best in class.

Role Responsibilities:

This role plays a key part in driving income growth and sustainability in our Individual Giving programme.

Your priorities will include:

· Driving the strategic and operational planning of Individual Giving to deliver strong income growth and return of investment (ROI), ensuring agreed targets and KPIs are achieved in relation to retention and conversion of existing donors.

· Devising and delivering the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and operational plans.

Strategy, planning and delivery:

· Develop and manage donor retention and upgrade for cash donors and regular givers across all channels to increase our supporter base, maximising ROI.

· Devise and deliver the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and ops plans, reforecasting these on a quarterly basis and engaging with month end processes.

· Lead the delivery of an impactful stewardship programme, which includes managing the supporter newsletter to optimise donor retention and development across all supporters, delivering exceptional donor experience; oversee timely responses to donors.

· Optimise data and data capture opportunities to help us better understand our supporters, inform strategy and ultimately deliver insight to help drive retention and lifetime value.

· Provide timely high-quality reporting with robust analysis and recommendations to improve performance – utilising your Individual Giving expertise and sector benchmarks.

· Adopt a test and learn mentality to strategic planning, developing new activities to provide the charity with a balanced portfolio of offers for new/existing donors.

· Direct and manage external suppliers to execute the Individual Giving retention programme to meet agreed budgets, timelines and KPIs.

· Support with the selection and appointment process for new external suppliers, effectively managing relationships to ensure the highest quality service.

· Ensure tools and processes are in place to effectively deliver objectives in collaboration with teams across the organisation.

Collaboration

· Identify opportunities to maximise value from our supporter base and seek opportunities to work with colleagues to facilitate cross-selling of relevant initiatives to engage donors, including mid-value, major gifts and legacies for example.

· Work collaboratively across the charity to develop exciting and relevant content across all Individual Giving activity, including the supporter newsletter, working with colleagues to identify where content could be applied to other communications and marketing channels.

· Keep abreast of new trends, tactics and competitor activity within the sector, disseminating new learnings and information throughout the team.

· Ensure that communications are compliant with all relevant bodies including HMRC, Gambling Commission, Fundraising Regulator, ICO, Charity Commission and ASA.

· Support other areas of fundraising by attending events, exhibitions etc. as required by a small team with varied engagements.

Management

· Carry out effective management of the Supporter Care Officer, ensuring the effective deployment of all their responsibilities.

· Be accountable for the management and development of the CRM database to maximise efficiency, working with the Database Manager to resolve any irregularities.

· Work closely with the Database Manager to establish criteria for data selection and extraction as necessary.

· Work with the Database Manager and Supporter Care Officer to ensure all donations are processed swiftly and accurately, Gift Aid income is maximised, and all declarations are collected and accurately recorded for submission to the Finance team.

Other

· Become fully conversant with the aims and objectives of the organisation.

· Keep up to date with developments in the sector and key new initiatives in our field.

RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have almost 1,800 members from more than 90 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.

The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.

Made in Hackney started life in 2012 as a community cookery school working across London with the mission of tackling the climate crisis, health inequalities and bringing communities together using the power of plants. We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded individual to become our Head of Operations and a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. You will have experience working in a senior role in the areas of operations, HR and governance. You will help the charity comply with health and safety requirements, safeguarding best practice and data protection and lead in developing organisational policies. 

You will have a passion and flair for improving operational processes and efficiency, administering CRMs, and monitoring and evaluation to ensure we operate most effectively. You will not shy away from problem-solving operational challenges and thrive in supporting the core team (of 10 staff) to ensure the smooth running and ongoing development of the organisation. We appreciate you may not have all the experience outlined in each category below but if you excel in a few key areas please still apply.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• Be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind the strategic plan

• Contribute to strategic discussions on the future path of the organisation; providing oversight on key initiatives as required as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Proactively participate in and/or lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and mutual support

• Provide lead support to the Board of Trustees, assisting the Chair with trustee meetings, keeping the Charity Commission website updated, and assisting with trustee recruitment, induction and training, board reviews etc;

• Act as the lead staff team representative on the Resource & Remuneration board sub-committee

HR & Training 

• Lead the organisation’s HR function ensuring  employment practice is legally compliant and fair, with a focus on being a fully inclusive employer;

• Keep abreast of the latest guidance in employment law and HR legislation, acting as the lead liaison with Croner external HR support;

• Act as MIH’s Lead for:
  Safeguarding - conducting regular reviews of safeguarding policy,  procedures and regular training for staff, trustees and volunteers and completing; 
  Data Protection - ensuring Data Protection Policy review and organisation-wide compliance and responding to any data incidents or breaches;
  Training - overseeing staff/volunteer/trustee training and lead on implementing staff wellbeing initiatives eg. socials, team building days etc;

• Oversee monthly staff salary payment and coordinate with external payroll provider; 

• Responsible for regular organisation-wide policy, procedure and risk assessment reviews

• Oversee any organisational structure reviews and ensure a system is in place for staff to receive regular and motivational feedback, and feel supported and able to perform their role;

Salesforce Admin
To be the main point of contact for core users' technical support and training needs, and to develop the Salesforce platform to improve organisational efficiency, relationship management and income generation. Intensive training will be provided to support this role.

• Act as the system administrator and manage admin functions including assigning new users, creating reports, dashboards, surveys, application forms etc;

• Onboard and train new users, and grow the level of expertise among the core team;

• Implement custom features when new work streams/programmes are set up and as organisational needs grow;

• Oversee support partnerships with external technical support and training providers.

• Support the Head of Fundraising & Communications and Community Programmes Manager with the creation of reports and dashboards in salesforce to present programme outcomes for funder and trustee reports and the MIH Annual Report;

• App Integration – use apps such as Mailchimp and 123 Form Builder (survey software) and integrate with Salesforce

Venue Management 
MIH has a part-time Venue Manager who is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the ‘Liberty Hall’ kitchen venue. The Head of Operations  will oversee them and support key areas of venue management in the following ways:

• Manage relationship with venue partner ‘Clapton Commons’ to ensure key services of venue are running smoothly and represent MIH in oversight committee meetings; 

• Ensure venue and office equipment is safe to use and repaired/replaced/PAT tested on time;

• Ensure the venue meets the latest Health & Safety requirements, Fire Safety Standards and is fully accessible;

• Support acquisition of new kitchen equipment when required, such as ovens, hobs etc either from a donated source or purchased from a supplier;

Finance

• Organise quarterly budget meetings between the core delivery team and Finance Manager to review budget and expenditure; 

• Ensure the finance team understands the requirements and deadlines of board meetings and provide reminders to them for preparing the required financial reporting.

Line Management

• Line management responsibility for 3 direct reports, creating a supportive environment for growth and development

Bid Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

About the Role:
As the Bid Manager in the Bid Management Team, you will support the development of winning proposals to deliver strong growth in our restricted funding pipeline.
In this role, you will work with key stakeholders, including staff in Country Programmes, Finance Teams, Regional Funding Managers and external partners to develop high-quality bids for opportunities with institutional and non-institutional donors that act like institutions. This includes bilateral and multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, GAC, USAID, EU, World Bank), as well as some work with trusts and foundations.

You'll also: 

• Support the project design process
• Work with country finance teams to build and review project budgets that reflect the technical design
• Negotiate WaterAid's scope of work and budget with external partners
• Facilitate After Action Reviews to ensure lessons are captured
• Design and deliver training to strengthen capacity of colleagues in Country Programmes and regional teams in proposal development

About You:

• Experience developing winning proposals to a range of institutional and non-institutional funders, ideally for development projects in low-income countries
• Good understanding of proposal management best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to negotiate and influence
• Experience analysing financial data and developing proposal budgets
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Sustainable Finance Policy Advisor

This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge of policy development and regulation of the financial sector to tackle climate change and loss of nature, as a member of the Sustainable Finance Unit of the Policy Solutions team in WWF, the world’s leading independent conservation organisation.

As Sustainable Finance Policy Advisor, you will help design creative policy solutions to some of the world’s most difficult and pressing challenges. Your work will influence government, central banks, regulatory authorities and the finance sector itself to respond to climate change and nature loss, and deliver the transition to a net zero economy. You will support policy development to transform the financial sector in the UK and beyond, focusing on government policy and regulation.

This will involve analysing existing and proposed policies for effectiveness and collaborating with colleagues to make the case for action and implementation to key stakeholders on proposed policy changes. You will also maintain oversight of the sustainable finance policy landscape internally and externally and be alert to new developments and policy ideas. You must have experience of policy development and / or financial sector regulation and an understanding of the sustainable finance landscape. Your expertise will likely have been gained in a government department, central bank, regulator, or a thinktank or NGO working on this agenda.  You will also have a record of developing and influencing key stakeholders, influencing opinions and practices and creating new models to deliver policy change. Politically aware, you will possess a strong understanding of how policy is influenced, both inside and outside Government as well as how policy and politics interact and how one can be used to influence the other. We are looking for Senior Supporter Acquisition Manager to join our Fundraising directorate and lead a brilliant team to develop and implement a range of supporter acquisition marketing programmes and to achieve the growth ambitions of our Fundraising strategy.

The Supporter Acquisition team is responsible for all marketing to attract new supporters across a large portfolio of appeals/products and media.  We are looking for someone to join us who has significant expertise with a wide range of marketing channels and can really add value to large well-established programmes with their experience, knowledge and drive to continually improve, identify appropriate new opportunities and shape supporter acquisition programmes.

The role involves managing an experienced team of two managers and a co-ordinator, and leading relationships with a number of suppliers.  The marketing programmes currently include face-to-face fundraising (from stands in retail space or at expos/outdoor events), DRTV and other forms of advertising, print – door drops/partially addressed mail/inserts and payroll giving.  An important part of the role is developing advertising for the nation’s largest charity appeal, the Poppy Appeal each November.
