The purpose of the role
The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. The successful applicant for this role will lead on the development and review of employment policies, undertaking benchmarking and researching best practice to ensure the NT has a full range of accessible and inclusive policies. They will also lead on work related to the NT’s pay framework and policy and manage engagement surveys, developing routine reporting and analysis.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience across a range of People functions that demonstrates an ability to work autonomously across a range of functions, including generalist, policy development, reward and interpreting terms and conditions.
- Experience of analysing and presenting information both written and verbally in informal and formal settings.
- Experience of working with information, databases and ability to interrogate and analyse data.
- Experience of working in a flexible and pragmatic way to problem-solving. Able to seek and exploit opportunities to advance objectives.

The role
This role sits in our people team, supporting the charity by providing a professional, comprehensive and proactive recruitment service. I am urgently seeking an experienced AD of People,Equity & Culture to cover a 10 to 12 month period of maternity leave at a renowned Charity based in East London, to start ASAP. Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director and People Team: plan schedules and team meetings, design and write documents, support with data gathering and analysis, and organize events like our global People & Culture conference.
- Project Work: Assist the team with research, analysis, preparation, communication and drafting official documents.

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for Global Black Thrive involvement in the Culture of Care Programme liaising with the Lived Experience Advisors, the Race Equity Lead, Neurodiverse Connections, the Royal College of Psychiatrists and NHS England.
This will include HR, Operations and Admin functions relating to the Culture of Care (CoC) Programme and will include managing systems to efficiently run the business and achieve strategic objectives agreed by Black Thrive Board of Directors.
The role will be the first point of contact for our CoC team, organising travel and accommodation, managing HR and office queries.
You may be involved in managing onboarding and offboarding, preparing employment contracts (Full-time and/or part-time, zero hours and/or fixed terms contracts), checking and following right-to-work in the UK, and administrating DBS checks.

We are currently recruiting for a People and Culture Manager. This is permanent position working 36.5 hours per week.
The role will be mix of home working as well as working from the clients office in Derby 2 days per week. There will also be some travel to Wolverhampton on occasions.
You will be an experienced HR manager who is ideally CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified.
Paying £33,075 - £41,895 per annum depending on skills and experience.
Role
- To collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on the strategic people plan.
- Leading and advise the Executive Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team on employment law, employee relations and up to date employment trends.
- Be responsible for the employee lifecycle in line with employment legislation.
- Manage people & culture teams effectively.
- Supporting line mangers with all HR related queries
- Deliver the organisation's strategic plan.
- Formulating and delivering people plans at an operational level
- Lead the direction on recruitment, to ensure organisational recruitment needs are met.
- Ensuring policies and processes at each area of the employee life cycle are compliant with UK employment legislation, including recruitment, onboarding, probationary, pay and reward.
- Ensure line managers are effectively briefed on any relevant changes to employment law and group policies and procedures.
- Managing the employee relations workload effectively including leading on more complex and challenging employee relations cases.
- Create and deliver training to managers on managing people in line with the group's people polices.
- Leading on the performance management continuous review cycle, ensuring that the pay review process is fit for purpose and competitive.
- Reviewing internal HR policies and leading on continuous improvements and recommendations to maintain compliance.
