As Project Support Officer you will support the Northern Area Manager and Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our Yorkshire & The Humber projects to aid development and growth within the region.
Our projects are run by volunteers and supported by Regional Managers, through recruitment and training of volunteers. Your role will be to support the Regional Manager so that they can manage more projects, along with supporting the Regional Manager with expansion plans within their areas. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new volunteers for the region.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to talk confidently to external people about our Projects. You will also be a good organizer, with the ability to manage multiple tasks within multiple Projects. You will have a passion for food and cooking, and be committed to our objectives and ethics.
The role will require attendance at our Community Meals projects in Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Bradford, with occasional evening and weekend work. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.
Benefits: We offer 26.5 working days (this includes 3.5 days for the Christmas close down) plus additional holiday for length of service, up to a maximum of 30 days (pro-rata for part-time). Our healthcare package allows staff to claim money back on healthcare bills and includes access to telephone counselling and online GP appointments.

The Baytree Centre (registered charity no 1175145) is a women and girls social inclusion project based in the heart of Brixton, working to support local women and girls from some of the most deprived wards in Lambeth.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and in response to local needs we offer programmes that include skills development (employability, language); 1-to-1 coaching & mentoring; welfare support; creative & academic activities and that build confidence and self-esteem, promote aspirations, broaden horizons and opportunities that help to improve life chances for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our Services are currently delivered by our Youth Service, Women Service and Volunteer Service. We have a staff body of 27 and pivotal to the success and delivery of the Centre’s programmes is the strong and consistent contribution from our committed and active volunteers.
We are looking for a motivated and efficient person with willingness to develop her skills to join our Youth Service team to help grow the Youth Mentoring programme. The post holder will provide key monitoring and administrative duties, provide 1-to-1 support to mentors, and help with the overall running of the programme as stated by the Mentor & Parent Liaison Manager. The Youth Mentoring programme includes up to 120 mentoring relationships annually.

The Programme Manager will deliver a personal development journey to young people using snowsports as the hook to engage those who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision. We do this in partnership with youth projects and youth service providers across the Midlands.

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them.
We are looking for an inspirational communicator to be the face of The Leprosy Mission. You’ll be working from home, with extensive travel across your region. - willingness to work on Sundays and evenings as required, and occasional Saturdays
- the ability to develop and deliver a regional fundraising strategy

About the role
You’ll mobilise people to become part of a growing community, taking action to improve the lives of everyone affected by Parkinson's. You’ll lead collaboration, joint planning, shared ownership and delivery of area plans to develop a people powered movement, uniting everyone behind a common vision.
You’ll be responsible for driving forward the charity’s strategic plans, working with the vision of the community in a designated geographical area. You’ll grow, facilitate and inspire a movement of people that is supported to have a positive impact and is reflective of the local community.

- Promote and cascade information, including real-life examples of positive intervention through all available methods
- Maintain accurate and up to date records in the region utilising our case management system and other databases, to provide for the effective monitoring and evaluation of the project
- Support programme evaluation through surveys and questionnaires
- Make onward referrals internally or externally to provide a holistic support package for service users
