Executive Assistant (Governance) - Temporary Contract
Godstone, Surrey | £18 per hour | 3-month temporary contract with potential to extend | Onsite with potential to work from home 1 day per week
We're currently recruiting for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant (Governance) to join a values-led organisation based in Godstone on an initial 3-month temporary contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Executive Assistant or Governance professional to support senior leadership and trustees within a purpose-driven environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of governance processes, Board and committee administration, policy management, compliance tracking, and executive support to the Senior Management Team.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating Board, committee, and SMT meetings
* Preparing agendas, papers, minutes, and action logs
* Maintaining governance and compliance registers
* Supporting policy review and publication processes
* Tracking organisational risks, actions, and deadlines
* Providing high-level executive support to senior leaders
* Managing confidential records, archiving, and documentation
* Coordinating trustee onboarding, declarations, and training records
* Supporting regulatory readiness and governance reporting
We're looking for someone with:
* Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or Governance support role
* Excellent minute-taking and organisational skills
* Strong Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 skills
* The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive, calm, and solutions-focused approach
* Experience supporting senior leadership teams or boards
Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be highly advantageous.
Due to the nature of the organisation, this role will require an Enhanced DBS check.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £16.79 per hour (+ holiday) (£32,826.19 salaried equivalent)

Prospectus is proud to be partnering with a well-established international charity to recruit a Temporary Supporter Care Coordinator to join their collaborative fundraising team.
Working in a close-knit team you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding supporter experience while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and empathy in all interactions.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email, and post, managing a high volume of inbound requests
- Provide professional, empathetic, and timely responses, resolving queries and escalating where necessary
- Maintain and update supporter records using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including Direct Debit changes, preferences, and opt-ins/outs)
- Process donations accurately and ensure prompt acknowledgements
- Handle complex or exceptional cases outside of outsourced contact centre operations
- Support fundraising campaigns, including administrative support for mailings and seasonal initiatives (e.g. Christmas card campaigns)
- Use personalised templates to ensure communications reflect the organisation’s tone of voice
- Monitor and feedback on trends in supporter queries to improve processes and service delivery
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless supporter journey
- Prioritise a busy workload to meet service standards and response timeframes
About You:
- Recent experience in a supporter care, customer service, or database-focused role within the not-for-profit sector
- Confident using CRM/database systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Exceptional attention to detail and a process-driven approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to personalise responses and demonstrate empathy
- Comfortable handling sensitive data with strict confidentiality and working to compliance standards
- A proactive, flexible team player with a “hands-on” attitude and willingness to support where needed
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

My client is a Black-led charity with a long track record of supporting Black and racialised women and children affected by domestic abuse and Violence Against Women and Girls. They are entering a busy period of growth and transition and are now seeking an Interim Senior Admin Officer to step in quickly, stabilise systems and support the organisation through change.
The role As Interim Senior Admin Officer, you will play a central role in ensuring the organisation runs smoothly, safely and compliantly. You will take stock of existing systems, put clear processes in place and provide practical support to staff and trustees during a period of onboarding and recruitment.
You will also work closely with the Admin Officer and Receptionist, offering day-to-day guidance, support and coaching to help them deliver to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include
- Reviewing and improving operational systems across administration, record-keeping, filing, archiving and IT
- Leading supplier and contract management, including reviewing value for money and setting up clear contract processes
- Supporting recruitment activity and onboarding of new staff and trustees, including inductions, equipment and access
- Developing, reviewing and updating organisational and HR policies in line with UK employment law and best practice
- Advising on employment matters such as contracts, grievance and disciplinary procedures and staff entitlements
- Ensuring strong governance and compliance, including Charity Commission and Companies House requirements
- Overseeing GDPR compliance, health and safety and statutory obligations
- Supporting facilities management, including getting the reception area fully operational
- Providing hands-on support and coaching to the admin team
- Producing a clear written recommendations report by the three-month point to support continuity
- Strong experience in senior administration, operations or office management, ideally within the charity or third sector
- Experience or knowledge of organisational and HR policies
- Knowledge of UK employment rights and employment law
- Hands-on understanding of charity governance and regulatory compliance
- Working knowledge of GDPR and health and safety
- Experience managing suppliers and contracts
- Confidence supporting recruitment, onboarding and HR processes
- A supportive, coaching-style approach to working with others
- The ability to prioritise, work at pace and get things done
