Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project

The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working in a community setting and an understanding of impact and evaluation to take on a key role in the project, involving ongoing interaction with families and professionals.

Job Summary

As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.

You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. The Rose Vouchers Project is an integral part of the wider Family Hub team at 1st Place, so you will be working in a busy environment, with colleagues who are all as committed to providing a friendly service and positive experience for families as you are.

ISEAL supports sustainability standards and similar market-based sustainability systems to improve their impacts on people and planet.  ISEAL’s Credibility Principles and Codes of Good Practice are used globally to guide the development of credible sustainability systems and to evaluate the credibility of sustainability claims. 

The core objective of the Policy and Engagement team is to support governments, civil society and other business influencers to understand, identify and use credible sustainability systems.  We do this through direct engagement with relevant government bodies in priority countries, engagement with individual businesses and business platforms and building community member awareness and knowledge about relevant policy files and implications of new policies for their schemes.  The team also has a key role in convening members on specific policy issues and supporting a more collective voice and approach to influencing policy developments around sustainability.

To be considered for this role, you will need to be highly organised and reliable, with attention to detail and an ability to follow instructions. You should be comfortable carrying out multiple activities concurrently, enjoy working on a varied and changing set of tasks related to policy and sustainability. You have a strong interest in engaging with complex systems and problems and in learning more about topics related to sustainability standards and policy.  You have a positive and proactive attitude to support the team and its goals and are eager to expand your knowledge and skillset by working on a range of activities. You have a friendly and professional demeanour and are comfortable in your communications and interactions with colleagues and external stakeholders. Alongside basic skills in research and task management you have had experience with varied IT tools and systems and are able to support with the use of the platforms and tools ISEAL uses.

In return, the role will provide an exciting introduction to a range of policy topics and an insight into working in an international not for profile organisation.

Key Responsibilities we will entrust you with:

Events

• Assist in organising event logistics for virtual member working groups on various topics (due diligence, claims, deforestation regulation) including tech support with platforms such as Zoom and MS Teams
• Support content preparation e.g. power point slides
• Communicate with speakers and draft and send event follow up e-mails
• Support project management, engagement tracking, outreach and administration
• Assist with any in-person events, including scouting for venues, support with logistics and preparation of agendas, communication with participants etc.

 Communications and platform management

• Maintain relevant pages on the ISEAL internal platform and ISEAL website
• Support with drafting external communications and liaise closely with the ISEAL communications team
• Draft text for position papers, briefs and reports to be used on ISEAL social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Contribute to newsletter drafting and coordinate distribution

Team organisationand support

• Assist with scheduling team meetings, preparation for away days and any workshops
• Support with note taking for team meetings, key external partner calls or member meetings
• Assist Director Policy and Engagement with team coordination activities
• Keep team organised with maintenance of team calendar, external events tracking, tracking of key metrics or KPIs, maintenance of folder structure

 General Administrative support

• Support with contract management, using ISEAL templates and agreed timelines
• Be first point of contact for Community Members and external partner queries
• Proof-read, edit, design, and format documents in Word and Powerpoint, using ISEAL templates

Experience, Knowledge and Attribute

• Experience working or interning in a support/administrative role, ideally in international NGO, professional or membership organisation
• Interest in and possibly some knowledge of policy areas (due diligence, sustainability claims, etc)
• Some understanding of, sustainability standards and certification, which may have been gained in academic, internship, employment or voluntary settings
• Strong organisational skills, and experience supporting on administration, meeting coordination, logistics, contracts, budget tracking, etc.
• Confidence in communications with peers and external partners, comfortable in public speaking situations (e.g. webinars, workshops etc)
• Good time management and ability to organise multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently with precision and strong attention to detail
• Excellent written & spoken English, with proven ability to write clearly and concisely
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote, international environment, including regular international time-zone calls
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment with changing projects and working with multiple project leads
• Confidence in using the Microsoft Office suite and IT systems, familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, etc), use of contact management databases (e.g. Salesforce)

Additionally desirable

• Interest in social and economic sustainability

We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children. 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining. 

You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.

The Role 
 
As our Supporter Engagement Assistant, you will join our Fundraising Team to help us build strong and lasting relationships with our charity's supporters and donors.  

Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Officer, you will deliver excellent customer service over the telephone, in written (email and postal) communications and face to face and ensure that supporters' details are accurately recorded on the CRM database. You will be representing the charity, explaining its purpose, and demonstrating our charity values to donors/supporters, showing appropriate empathy to those who may have cancer or a family member/friend who does.  

This role provides a great opportunity to make a real difference to the people of Yorkshire and requires someone with a friendly manner, good team-working skills, great customer service and excellent organisational skills.  
 

Specifically, you will: 

• Ensure supporter communications are accurate, timely and appropriate to the recipient. This includes following the relevant pathways to process donations, record legacy pledges, update key information so that the communication is tailored and relevant to the individual supporter. 

• Update supporter records on our database to reflect changes in marketing permissions, personal details, the charity's relationship with the supporter (e.g. Volunteer/ Donor/ Brand Ambassador etc.) and any communications had between the supporter & the charity. 

• Use the CRM System to run supplied data queries to deliver campaigns (e.g. using Mail Merge) and to create and deliver supporter communications, this includes printing and posting letters and sending emails, making updates to supporter records and fulfilling requests for information. 

• Work alongside the Supporter Engagement Officer & Individual Giving Manager to improve the initial welcome for newly acquired regular donors and the onwards stewardship journey for all supporters. Conducting research and contributing ideas to improve the supporter journeys and implementing these processes independently. 

• Undertake other duties and take on a lead role in supporting projects relevant to the purpose of the role as requested by members of the CRM, Marketing, Fundraising or Research & Services teams. 

• Monitor inbound emails to the charity in the supporter care inbox, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

• Monitor incoming calls to the charity through the supporter engagement number, forwarding to the relevant colleague (if unable to provide a response) or responding and actioning. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a qualification in a relevant discipline and/or proven experience working in a similar role, such as customer service. 

• To have evidence of continued professional development relevant to the role purpose and level. 

• To have customer service experience in a similar or related role (e.g. telephony/ databases/ office). 

• To have high computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. 

• To have previous experience of working with databases (e.g. Access or Raiser's Edge).

• To be happy to work independently and ask for support where this is needed, but also like to both work with and support colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal. 

• To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences. Has a good grasp of grammar, spelling and of the spoken word. 

• To have strong organisational skills and performs their work to an extremely high level of accuracy and professionalism, paying close attention to detail. 

• To be able to present data and information in a way that is helpful and actionable to others.

Other duties may be required as directed to support the team's objectives.

They will be IT literate and hold strong communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills. Experience in liaising with stakeholders and providing strong customer service is also crucial for the role. It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day. So some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. Our full time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

As the High Value Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our high value fundraising activities across the Philanthropy, Corporate, and Community teams. Your focus will primarily be on supporting the Philanthropy team, ensuring seamless administrative processes and enabling our fundraising efforts to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative and office management assistance to the Philanthropy team. This includes tasks like booking travel, processing invoices, and leading monthly expense reconciliation.
• Director Support: Be the right hand to our Director of Philanthropy, managing their diary, organising meetings, and handling travel arrangements.

Working arrangements

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London Office (NW1 7AW).

At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average.

Gaddum are recruiting for a Project Worker to be part of the Carers Manchester Team.

Carers Manchester is a partnership of Statutory and Voluntary Sector organisations who work together the plan, enhance and deliver advice and support services for unwaged carers in the city. Through working together, the Carers Manchester Pathway is in place, which supports carers being able to access the right advice and support at the right time in their caring journey.

Gaddum plays a key role in managing the development of the Carers Manchester Pathway, in supporting a Network of Voluntary sector organisations and ensuring that the carers voice is heard in everything that we do.

Following the recent award of a new contract to deliver these services we are looking for a Project Worker to support us in developing a Respite strategy for Manchester unpaid carers and developing and Expert by Experience Carers panel which will ensure that the carers voice is heard in everything we do. Amongst the core tasks in this role will be to:

• Support the creation of project management tools for these pieces of work and maintain them. 

• Lead on consultation activities for the Respite strategy

• Support the recruitment of carers who may wish to be involved with the Expert by Experience panel 

You could be the person we are looking for if you have: 

• Experience of supporting organisations to manage projects. 

• Experience of working in a collaborative manner with carers or other groups of people 

• Ability to manage work with a range of partners in order to support delivery of projects within clear timescales. 

• Ability to negotiate, influence and solve problems effectively and diplomatically.
