Job Purpose:
The post holder will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational development of the charity with particular responsibility for grant awarding functions to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with our charitable objectives and values.
A senior leadership team member, this role will lead Alder Hey Children’s Charity’s grant awarding process, develop multi-year strategies with a focus on long term funding priorities & achieving the charity’s purpose and demonstrating our impact.
They will build strategic relationships with key members of the Trust and other charities with a focus on partnership working to maximise the impact of funding and meet the Charity & Trust ambitions. They will lead on the development and implementation of a framework to demonstrate our impact.
Main Duties/Tasks
Strategic Planning, Financial Management & Reporting
Lead on the development and implementation of strategic, multi-year plans and budgets, identify upcoming funding requirements.
Monitor progress against strategic plans, budgets, KPIs, producing reports.
Develop and implement a framework for demonstrating our charitable impact across the charity funding pillars.
Build strategic partnerships internally and externally to support funding priorities and maximise our impact.
Attend the Charitable Spending Committee and Board meetings.
Grant Applications, Awards & Reporting
Oversee and develop the grant process, ensuring it aligns with the charitable spending strategy, provides detailed, relevant information and monitors performance.
Manage the grant award process, ensuring that applications are reviewed and approved in line with the agreed authority levels, ensuring that papers are appropriate for the Charitable Spending Committee and Board review.
Maintain and update the grant Terms & Conditions.
Provide leadership and direction to the Grants Manager, empowering them & the team to deliver against set goals and objectives.
Communication & Relationships
Lead on the development of an internal communications plan, promoting both the opportunities available to apply for Charitable Funding within the Trust and the impact of projects that have been funded by the Charity. Promote the work of the Charity throughout the Trust and with funders.
Develop relationships with the Charitable Spending Committee.
Develop key relationships throughout the Trust that support the grant award and reporting process.
To build and manage key relationships with existing partners.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Finance Team, working together to provide a smooth process.
Lead on internal liaison to ensure that fundraising teams have the information they need to report back to funders and donors on how their donations have made a vital difference.
Lead on providing and co-ordinating information to the Head of Marketing for the yearly impact report and Annual Report for the Financial Statements.
Innovation & Development
Be the lead specialist in grant awarding and maintain strong knowledge of relevant legislation and good practice.
Work with the database manager to develop the use of the CRM system with the grants team to maximise efficiency.
Work with the database manager to develop a framework for impact reporting that links to our CRM system.
Other Duties
Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.
Be an active and supportive member of the Alder Hey Children’s Charity team, contributing to the team’s development and working collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers.
Attend and support on events run by the fundraising teams where required.
Any other reasonable duties as required by your line manager.

Programme
Young Greenwich is an integrated programme commissioned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The key purpose of the programme is to enable young people to develop holistically, working with them to facilitate their personal, social, and educational aspirations with an aim to develop their voice and reach their full potential. The programme is led by NHS Oxleas Foundation Trust (Oxleas) and delivered with partners Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) who together with METRO form the Young Greenwich Partnership. Young Greenwich will deliver seamlessly in and out of schools, youth hubs and other community venues with strong pathways for pupils in schools into community-based activities and support vice versa.
As part of the Young Greenwich offer, METRO will facilitate and deliver the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP), which aims to increase testing and treatment and reduce onward transmission of Chlamydia amongst 15-24 year olds, particularly those who are at higher risk. METRO will also facilitate and deliver the free condom scheme available to Greenwich residents aged 13-24; the Greenwich C Card enables young people to access free condoms via sites across the borough as well as online.

The Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of a specialist charity for children and adults subjected to sexual violence and sexual abuse. You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive in meeting strategic objectives surrounding the provision of compassionate, timely and trauma-informed CYP counselling and wellbeing support; establishing and nurturing supportive relationships with partner CYP organisations; supporting the team in collective care to grow, flourish and develop in their roles and continue leading the charity as a reflective and responsive organisation. Your role will also involve impact and evaluation, communications and operations.
You will lead in the safe delivery, strategic direction and development of the trauma-informed CYP counselling and wellbeing services. About the role
Alzheimer’s Society Local Services teams provide exceptional information, advice and guidance for people affected by dementia. As a Local Services Manager, you will be home based, leading and inspiring geographically dispersed teams, whilst working as part of a wider Area Management Team, to deliver these fantastic services.

There is no direct care element to the Dementia Adviser role, however we work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia. This role will support people who have received a Dementia Diagnosis and help provide the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future post diagnostically.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a dementia adviser covering the Carmarthenshire area.
The role is primarily providing person-centred support for people affected by dementia. You will be the first point of contact, providing information about our services and sign posting to other organisations offering support across the area. You will triage referrals for our local Dementia Support Service and work closely with our community-based Dementia Advisers to ensure people affected by dementia are well informed and well supported. The role also provides support for managers across our region and you will be well supported by your line manager in prioritising and planning your workload.

You will support EAAA patients, and their families post trauma/incident, during their recovery and following bereavement.
