Responsible to the Operational Manager
Hours: 22.5 hours per week

This role involves working with the Quality and Operational Manager, Project Manager and Training Officer to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day service and to mentor and support paid staff and volunteers to maintain national Citizens Advice standards.
This will include:
● Supervising advice and gateway/triage sessions and caseworkers.
● Review/monitor the quality of case records / telephone calls/email advice of designated staff to meet quality standards and service level agreements.
● Assist the Operational Manager to undertake Quality of Advice Assessments (QAA)
● Supporting the delivery of the training and development plan along with the rest of the team.
● Ensuring referrals and bookings for projects are being properly monitored and clients are supported in a timely manner.
● Undertaking supervision leadership tasks.
● Providing statistical reports on outputs and outcomes as required by management.
● Making recommendations for staff training and development and participate in recruitment and selection activities as delegated.
● You should have 2 years current experience of advice and casework at generalist or specialist level, or 1 years experience of supervising a generalist advice session (either Citizens Advice or within a legal setting) and the ability to meet the Citizens Advice competence requirements.

The postholder will provide support to women identified as requiring or accessing intensive support. The team have an established reputation for providing high quality, effective safety advice, information and support, enabling safer working practices. Services are provided within the community, on evening outreach and at venues as women determine.

Job Description
- Provides individualised support for interns at the host business worksite placement or competitive job which includes: job coaching, identifying job placements, assistive technology, etc.
- Attends host business induction to ensure student understanding and learning

- Visits students and give feedback to all team members

Support Coordinator
We’re looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Services based in the Chester area.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide support following a stroke.
Position: S11129 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Chester however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (flexible working)
Salary: Circa £25,500 per annum
Contract: Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:
· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.
About You
You will:
· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities.
· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs.
· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The role
Our services are growing. We are looking for locally based sessional facilitators to support the delivery of our Moving Forward courses across the UK. Our Moving Forward courses are for anyone with a primary breast cancer diagnosis who has finished their hospital-based treatment. Courses are a combination of face to face and online support and are delivered in partnership with local NHS Trusts/Boards. The number of courses can vary across locations but will typically be between 2 - 4 courses a year.
This is offered as a contract for services position and as such the appointed contractor would not be an employee of Breast Cancer Now but a self-employed individual. We require all contractors to adhere to and follow Breast Cancer Now applicable policies and procedures and to undertake some mandatory training in core subjects such as data protection and cyber security. A satisfactory criminal record check will be required.
About you
You will be based locally to one of the available locations with a strong background in group facilitation and course delivery. You will also have excellent organisation and time-management skills, superb oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask. You will work independently across a geographical area, supported by the regional services team and our local volunteers.
You will be required to have access to your own IT equipment.

About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our bank as a Welfare Officer, providing cover as required for the SSAFA RAF Service across the UK.
Our Bank Welfare Officers will provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family on an ad hoc basis when a full-time member of the team is unavailable to do so.
As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.
Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.
Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you may be asked to use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.
You will work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

About you

We’re looking for a Family Support Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.

The Role
As our Stop Smoking Specialist you will help deliver our new Stop Smoking Service and underpin its commitment to support people to stop smoking and reduce the risk of cancer. You will provide specialist advice and support to our service users around tobacco addiction and provide evidence-based approaches in line with national guidance and good practice to help them to quit smoking.
You will be part of a growing team at the charity and will be vital in the implementation of our strategy to ensure people in Yorkshire receive the best prevention, diagnosis and treatment.The role will deliver evidence based stop smoking interventions to patients referred into the service, providing support, advice and guidance either face to face, virtually or by telephone to maximise quitting outcomes. You will work as part of a team to respond to referrals and work closely with our Active Together Services, that are being rolled out across Yorkshire, and NHS Trusts where we fund in patient smoking cessation programmes.
Specifically, you will:

Autonomously deliver smoking cessation assessments, advice and support, minimizing harm from tobacco and health-related issues in line with best guidance and protocols.

Undertake client assessments, making appropriate pharmacotherapy decisions, provide ongoing client support and undertaking 4- and 12-week follow-ups.

Advise on stop smoking medications to patients including all forms of NRT, vapes (e-cigarettes) as well as non-nicotine treatments.
-
Help patients who smoke to quit, communicating in a sensitive, client centred manner.
-
Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the service, including the completion of the minimum data set aligned to NHS England mandatory requirements. This will include following up with patients following discharge to monitor stop smoking outcomes.

Manage caseload of patients and be responsible for all associated tasks, including follow-up appointments, and managing diary commitments.

Communicate effectively with colleagues, providing clear verbal, digital or written information and instructions when sharing information, delegating, or handing over responsibility for care to ensure that smoking cessation records are kept up to date and accurate.

Work with the Services Manager and Head of Services to ensure that public and patient insight and involvement is captured, which will shape the development, delivery and evaluation of our service to make sure they are patient centred.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To be educated to GCSE (or equivalent) grade C or above in English and Maths.

To have NVQ level 3 in Health care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.

To be National Centre for Smoking Cessation Training (NCSCT) Level 2 trained (essential).

Intermediate theoretical knowledge of stop smoking support, gained through Level 2 NCSCT.

To have substantial experience of providing smoking cessation support in a stop smoking service with good levels of quit rates.

To have experience of working in Health and Social Care setting or community.

To have experience of using Microsoft Office software and SystmOne.

To have proven IT skills, including data entry, accurate reporting of agreed care plans, using IT infrastructure to support effective handover of care.

To have good knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice in stopping smoking, the consequences of smoking and the benefits of quitting.
