In an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, Southwark Law Centre, and Impact for Urban Health, we’ve been supporting close to 200 private renters over the last 3 years who have been threatened with eviction by their landlords, or are living in temporary accommodation, to sustain their tenancies and/or find onward housing in the social or private sector that is suitable for their health, needs and aspirations.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate support worker to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Housing Support Practitioner in our small and dedicated team. The role will be based mostly in Southwark, and you will be working in partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to coordinate tailored support for each client to avoid eviction and sustain tenancies, mediating with landlords where necessary and providing advice for onward housing when needed with the support of the Housing Link Worker. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies or move to a better suited property, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. Basis is looking to appoint a Navigation and Support Worker (Intensive Support) who can provide appropriate emotional and practical support to women in the sex industry and/or those who are being sexually exploited. The women we work with often require intensive practical and emotional support as well as help to navigate health and, social care, the criminal justice systems and other services. The women’s circumstances can impact their mental or physical health. They may also be at risk of or experience homelessness and come into contact with the criminal justice system. Many of the women may experience historic or current sexual and/or domestic abuse.

About the Project
Hertfordshire Mind Network is proud to provide early intervention support to children and young people experiencing poor mental health across Hertfordshire. We provide a combination of support through psychoeducational workshops, open access, 1:1 and group support.
We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s Herts Haven Café service are:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.
- To provide drop in, no referral required, timely support to 10-18 year olds.
- To support children and young people in Hertfordshire to access community based mental health help.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided across the CYP MHS system.
About the Role:
The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.
A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. You will be working as a team to facilitate support, deliver brief mental health interventions, signposting, and ensure timely information, guidance and referrals are provided for ongoing support.

- To play an integral role in instilling HMN’s values throughout the Herts Haven Cafe Service.

The Role

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
Crisis Skylight Croydon offers IAG, 1-1 coaching and practical support to people who are experiencing homelessness in Croydon and the neighbouring boroughs. We work with several partner agencies including the Homeless Health Team, mental health services and substance misuse services to ensure that our members have access to support needed to end their homelessness for good. We have now received funding from NHS Southwest London to deliver a health advocacy service in Croydon for 12 months.

About the role
As Health Advocacy Worker , you will provide high-quality support to people experiencing homelessness in Croydon. You will support Skylight members as well as residents of local supported and temporary accommodation to register with the appropriate health services and attend health appointments. You will regularly visit local hostels and accompany your clients to their health appointments.
You will hold sensitive conversations about health needs, reasons why someone might have struggled to access health services in the past and what concerns they may currently have. You will provide IAG, support and encouragement to help build your clients’ confidence so that they continue accessing health services independently in the future when your support comes to an end.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a good understanding of the challenges that people who experience homelessness might face when trying to access health services. You have experience supporting people with multiple needs including mental health, physical health and substance misuse difficulties, a history of multiple exclusion and social isolation. Who we are: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is a well-established, innovative and forward-thinking local domestic abuse service. We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.
About the role: You will be the first point of contact for victims/survivors of domestic abuse. You will answer calls to the charity’s helpline, dealing with enquiries and referrals from other agencies, and providing immediate emotional and practical support. You will use approved risk assessment tools to triage victims of domestic abuse to the correct BCWA service, for example our refuge or outreach services, or signposting them to external agencies where appropriate. You will need to recognise, respect and address the needs of clients who face particular barriers when seeking help to access the service, including those from diverse communities, LGBTQ communities, people with disabilities, women and girls with complex needs and other hard to reach groups.
All staff have access to hot-desking at our offices as needed. Flexible working is welcomed at BCWA. We are all women with busy lives and families, and we understand that flexibility can be crucial in supporting women in the workplace.

As Project Lead for APAP's Night Shelter provision you will be responsible for a caseload of clients and the wider management of the Night Shelter project. We work in partnership to provide single room, 24 hour staffed accommodation to clients in our provision. You will take a lead on maintaining a relationship with the accommodation provider through regular liaison and communication. Senior Youth Participation Officer
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Senior Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes. The role will include recruiting young people, engaging them in co-producing fun and creative activities and workshops which will take place at the drop-ins, as well as supporting them in planning and delivering the social action programmes.
Typically, sessions will occur Sundays (TBC) and young people from the ages 8 to 18 will attend. We are also planning to start a second drop-in session from September, which is likely to run on a Friday evening.
The post holder will support young people to plan some social action programmes directly, as well as support young people into other youth-led community action programmes at FYA.
Examples of projects include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and festivals and peer education activities.
This is an exciting opportunity for FYA as we are elated to have our first drop-in session at our Warren Centre, as we want to reach as many local young people as possible and provide opportunities of social action and support.

We require a reliable, creative, and outgoing individual to work on our Risk and Resilience programme. The programme provides one-to-one and small group mentoring interventions looking at sex, relationships, identity, and communication skills in a unique peer-mentor approach.
Programme
Our Risk and Resilience programme currently delivers a programme for all young people in Greenwich to facilitates positive changes in behavior towards relationships, identity and gender. This will be achieved through a programme of sessions that address: sexual behaviors, healthy relationships, consent, porn, violence, substance misuse, identity, and conflict resolution. Broader outcomes, as a result, will include reducing substance misuse and involvement in crime or risky behavior.
Role
You will need to show a strong commitment to young people and show an understanding of the factors affecting young people’s lives. You will be working closely with the young people to facilitate positive change and tools to manage risk. You will evaluate referrals and conduct initial assessments with young people before completing the risk and resilience work, or refer to more appropriate services as needed, internally within METRO, within Greenwich partners, or externally.
The role involves delivering client-facing work in a flexible and relatable way, as well as attending key meetings in the boroughs to gain referrals. You will be responsible for reviewing one-to-one and group session plans that support positive behaviours tailored to the feedback given from venues, are interactive in nature, and are supported by current policy and research.
You will capture data from your delivery to produce quarterly reports in line with the project's key deliverables. You will liaise with the Youth Manager to review project outcomes and suggest recommended changes for the benefit of the service users.

About the Service
This is a pilot working as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.
Purpose of Post
Providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health and remain a source of independent support for all clients. Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly and that a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach is embedded approach in all aspects of the roles.
Service Objectives
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
- To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
- To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
- To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.
