The Role
You will play a key role in leading the development, review and implementation of people policies and practices, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practice. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review, design and implementation of employment policies and processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practice
- Act as a subject matter expert on HR policy, providing guidance on complex employee relations matters
- Deliver end-to-end people projects, from planning through to evaluation
- Research and benchmark policies to ensure innovative and forward-thinking approaches
- Analyse organisational trends and data to identify opportunities for improvement across the employee lifecycle
- Develop tools, guidance and communications to support managers in applying policies effectively
- Collaborate across functions to streamline processes and improve service delivery
- Contribute to and support the organisation's equity, diversity and inclusion agenda
About You
- Strong experience as an HR generalist at advisory level or above, with a focus on policy and projects
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
- Proven track record of delivering HR policy development and project work
- Comfortable advising senior stakeholders on complex employee relations issues
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate policy into clear, practical guidance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Passionate about creating inclusive, people-centred workplaces

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, detail‑driven finance professional to step into a broad and influential role within a highly respected trust group.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for a portfolio of charitable trusts.
- Produce timely financial reporting, including financial summaries, cashflows, budgets and forecasts for trustees and senior stakeholders.
- Lead and oversee reconciliations, controls, VAT returns, annual reports, and audit preparation.
- Act as an authorised signatory and manage cashflow, payments, and investment fund movements.
- Support trustees and executives with financial insight, governance information, and due‑diligence processes.
- Manage investment portfolio data, liaising with advisors and investment managers.
- Provide financial support for direct and impact investments.
- Contribute to strengthening governance, compliance, systems, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
- Mentor junior finance colleagues and support the wider Finance Director and team.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or demonstrably qualified by experience.
- Significant experience in charity or commercial finance, with confidence managing complex financial workflows.
- Strong experience producing statutory accounts, management reporting, cashflows, and analysis.
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, governance, and charity regulatory requirements.
- Experience with investment portfolios or grant‑giving environments (desirable).
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel and financial systems.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy and independence.

This position sits at the heart of financial reporting and oversight, with a strong focus on consolidated reporting within a charity environment.
This is a senior role responsible for ensuring robust financial control, high-quality statutory reporting, and effective management of multi-entity and multi-currency accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of consolidated group accounts across multiple entities
- Oversee multi-currency accounting and ensure accuracy across international operations
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts in line with Charity SORP (FRS 102)
- Act as a key contact for the audit process, including responding to audit queries
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Provide clear and accurate financial reporting to senior stakeholders
- Support the wider finance function with technical expertise and oversight
Skills and Experience Required
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience preparing consolidated accounts
- Proven experience working with multi-currency accounting
- In-depth knowledge of Charity SORP (FRS 102)
- Experience preparing year-end accounts and managing audit processes
- Confident self-starter, able to work independently and take ownership
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
Desirable Experience
- Experience using IRIS accounting software
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
