We’re looking for a natural communicator who can tell our story in an accessible and compelling way.  You’ll be able to think creatively, and grasp the bigger picture, whilst being comfortable keeping across routine but vital tasks such as producing newsletters and updating social media.  You’ll take pride in making those outputs the best they can be, whilst also being comfortable briefing local journalists and telling our story.  It’s required that you have your own lived experience of disability, which could include mental health issues or a long term condition.  We also particularly welcome applications from global majority candidates, who are currently underrepresented at this level in our organisation. 

Your role will focus on three of our projects:  Healthwatch Barnet, which provides the local resident voice in health and social care; our work with the Barnet Together Alliance supporting the local voluntary sector; and the work of the NCL VCSE Alliance, which we currently chair. 

To succeed, you will need solid communications and PR experience, and an ability to write fluent, interesting copy as well as a familiarity with social media and a basic understanding of design principles.  In return, you will become part of a friendly and supportive team, working within a focused but flexible culture, where diversity is valued and you can bring your whole self to work.

Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.

Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. Many of these young people are unable to finish their formal education as they are experiencing poverty, so our courses are completely free, to ensure no-one is excluded from the opportunity to learn.

Our free training courses also address any of the barriers which may stop a young person from being able to learn. We offer the Seed of Hope students in Kenya;

• free lunches everyday, you can’t learn when you’re hungry.

• menstrual hygiene packs to ensure girls don’t miss lessons because they can’t afford sanitary pads.

• childcare vouchers to ensure young mothers can learn.

We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You’ll support with crafting engaging funding applications, which stand out from the crowd and capture the funders hearts. Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is one of the finest collections of temperate trees in the world. Its 600 acres is recognised as a Grade 1 landscape of national importance and includes ancient woodland and semi-natural grassland. Since 1956 it has been managed by the Forestry Commission (operating as Forestry England) to meet our mission 'to connect people with trees to improve the quality of life'. Our future vision is to be ‘a world leader in trees, inspiring people through education conservation, education and participation’. We will achieve this by building on our existing objectives that cover science, learning, wellbeing, volunteering and recreation.

The arboretum is a significant regional visitor attraction with over 550,000 visits annually, onsite businesses generate a turnover in excess of £6m and the arboretum makes an estimated contribution to the local economy of over £23 million. The tree collection itself is complemented and supported by high-quality visitor facilities, catering, retail and a range of events; particularly a 4 night concert series as part of Forest Live, a 12 night Christmas lights event and sporting activities. In the past decade a £7m redevelopment project has transformed the visitor experience with a new Welcome Building and car parking in 2014 and the addition in 2016 of the award winning STIHL Treetop Walkway and Wolfson Tree Management Centre. · A full oversight of marketing, public relations and social media. Supporting the team to seek to develop on existing platforms and set achievable targets.

About the role

The postholder will have a unique opportunity to lead delivery of our communications strategy, supporting the delivery of our organisational objectives and ensuring we maximise our 20th anniversary year to raise IHP’s profile and grow our community.

The UI/UX designer will be responsible for producing an effective, visually appealing and intuitive digital experience for our donors. Reporting to the Creative and Brand Manager, you will also act as a guardian of our brand identity.

· Create high quality, engaging designs for the new website redesign and upcoming new mobile application which will allow us to better communicate and engage with our donors and potential donors. This is a key project for FY24, and will take up most of your time within this role – key tasks to support our digital transformation include but not limited to:

o Produce wireframes, flows, mock ups and prototypes which put the donor at the heart of the journey.

o Iterate designs based on feedback and user testing.

o Ensure consistency and brand integrity across all design elements.

· Collaborate with developers and marketing professionals to deliver designs based on learnings. You will be part of a team of three creatives, headed up by the Creative and Brand Manager.

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?

Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:

Job Purpose

The function of this role is to work with the Head of Development to devise and implement a programme of successful alumni events and fundraising for The Glasgow Academy.

Alumni Engagement: The focus is to build positive relationships with all members of the school and wider communities, including that of the former Westbourne School for Girls. The postholder will help to deliver The Academy’s alumni engagement strategy and volunteer programme, including various events, reunions and the like, with the aim of providing a pipeline of engaged individuals willing to support the School through their time, expertise, connections and philanthropy.

Development Manager: The post holder will coordinate and support the systems and procedures underpinning the cultivation and solicitation of donors; manage a series of 1-2-1 meeting with and small cultivation events for donors/prospects and prepare appropriate communications to support the same.

The post-holder will report to the Head of Development. The Development Team sits within the External Relations office which works to support the continuing development of The Academy through admissions, marketing, alumni relations, fundraising and by promoting the school’s achievements and aspirations as a centre of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising:

· Maintain and grow relationships with key former pupils, current parents and potential donors to devise and execute bespoke programme of involvement and communication that lead to (major and regular) gifts.

· Work with Head of Development to implement specific strategies for engagement opportunities including involvement in FP programmes, invitations to events, visits to campus, and individual meetings with members of staff or Senior Leadership Team.  

· Devise and implement fundraising strategies to include: Capital Campaign Fundraising, Named Prizes, Fundraising for Bursaries/Legacy Giving/Regular Giving. Hold direct 1-2-1 solicitations and draft and send gift agreements to solicit gifts.

· Ensure all donations are recorded and thanked promptly/appropriately in CRM In Touch database. Build and export queries or lists for various events, mailers and groupings as needed.

· Maintain accurate, up-to-date and GDPR-compliant potential and current donor records.

Events and communications:

· Manage the planning, execution and promotion of alumni events for potential supporters (alumni, parents and staff) – which will include some evening and weekend work.

· Make full use of The Academy’s existing calendar of events as a means of engaging with potential supporters.

· Organise catering, transportation and other elements necessary for the successful running of alumni events.

· Contribute to and assist with the publication of the former pupil magazine.

· Develop, collate and edit content (and edit copy written by others) for the alumni section of The Academy’s website, newsletters and publications as required, liaising with relevant staff for content, as required.

· Create donation literature to include giving forms and gift agreements.

Broxtowe Community Projects (BCP) is a small charity (registered number 1195969) based in Beeston, Nottinghamshire. We work across the geographical borough council area of Broxtowe (NG9 and NG16 postcodes) to alleviate poverty, isolation and hardship. This is an exciting year for BCP in terms of solidifying our growth and development, and this is where you come in! We are looking for an operations manager to help oversee our existing projects as well as those in development, along with ensuring smooth day-to-day operations remain smooth. Our ops manager will support our staff, admin, and volunteer team leaders to ensure they feel supported and empowered in their roles, The role will also undertake and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of our funded projects so that we can maintain positive relationships with our current funders and confidently seek relationships with new funders.

You will be someone who is compassionate and has a real understanding and empathy around the determinants of poverty and you will want to make a tangible difference to peoples' lives.
