Head of Communications
Location: Maidenhead, with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa £60,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Mon - Fri

What you'll be doing
You'll be creating captivating communication plans, expanding our impact and engaging stakeholders via media campaigns and events. As leader of communications, you'll build media relationships, organise content, and guide the team towards excellence. This is the scope of the main duties, and it's your chance to ignite enthusiasm and spark innovation!
What you need to have
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in communications, journalism, or public relations. Alternatively, experience in the communications field
- Demonstrable experience of driving a digital and external media environment to boost engagement
- Excellent communication skills with confident writing and editing copy.
- Strong PR, media, and digital skills
- Able to build strong working relationships

As the Marketing & Development Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our online visibility, fostering partner & stakeholder engagement and support fundraising activites to make exciting projects possible.
This role offers the exciting opportuinty to take on key responsibilities including management of, and content creation for, social media, website and enewsletters and scope to use your creativity, analytical skills and marketing expertise to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.
The role
You will work closely with the Head of Marketing (HoM) and Head of Development (HoD) to implement the marketing and fundraising strategy, raising awareness of the charity’s work.
Producing engaging content and copy for our website, enewsletter and social media channels, you will be key in building, developing and managing relationships with trusts and foundations, our partners and corporate sponsors.
With a focus on content marketing three days per week, and fundraising support 2 days per week, this position offers the perfect balance for someone who can champion excellent communication and grow engagement across our marketing and fundraising activity.
