A fantastic opportunity has arisen for community children’s nurse to join our friendly, established community health team. We are a busy service with a diverse caseload working with service families and children in Cyprus.

We are looking for a confident, innovative paediatric nurse. You will be required to work in conjunction with the visiting Community Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatricians who provide secondary car as well as the medical officers and GPs, members of the SSAFA Community Health Care Team, schools, and voluntary agencies in your local area.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of child focused, family centred care delivering high quality patient care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.

About the team

You will be based in the Medical Centre working alongside the primary health care team. You will be part of a dynamic community health team including heath visitor, school nurse, CAMHS, speech and language, dietetics, and midwifery. This challenging but rewarding role offers you the opportunity to expand your clinical role in the community and school setting as well as offering the opportunity to offer support, advice, and strategies to families of children with additional needs.  This role also offers the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely on occasions, with prior agreement from Locality Team Leader.   

About you

We are looking for an experienced, motivated community paediatric nurse who can work autonomously.

You will need to be a flexible practitioner, a good team player and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals, services, and agencies.

You will have the ability to provide case management of an identified case load of children and young people with complex needs. You should have excellent interpersonal skills to support you in managing complex discussions with a range of agencies and individuals including care providers, patients, and relatives.

We're looking for a Community Fundraising Officer, based at our rehoming centre in Harefield, West London, to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups and deliver excellent customer care for all Dogs Trust supporters, but particularly potential and existing legacy pledgers.

What does this role do?
As Community Fundraising Officer, you’ll:

• link the rehoming centre with supporters in the local community, developing relationships with local individuals, businesses, community groups and clubs, 
• feed into various income streams through these relationships, identifying prospects in the community and develop a pipeline of future donors and legacy donations,
• steward existing and potential donors, always providing them with a seamless supporter journey, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the work we do and feel motivated to support our meaningful local work,
• organise supporter events, talks and tours both onsite and externally.
• completing all administration related to donations to the centre, including thanking and banking.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need some community fundraising experience, with the ability to build connections and connect with the local community. To do this, you’ll need excellent communication skills and be able to confidently approach and interact with supporters. While you’ll be a key part of the rehoming centre team, you’ll be regularly be working independently, so strong organisational skills and a proactive approach is essential.

This role is based at the rehoming centre, and the post holder will spend lots of time in the community meeting supporters. The working pattern is typically Monday and Tuesdays, but flexibility is required and is likely to involve some evening and weekend work, depending on the nature of the work.

The Senior Community Fundraising & Events Coordinator will play a key role in growing and diversifying Brain Research UK’s community fundraising income and supporter engagement.

Working closely with supporters, volunteers, community groups, and internal colleagues, the post-holder will help develop meaningful relationships, deliver engaging fundraising activities and events, and provide an excellent supporter experience.

Fundraising and supporter engagement

• Engage and support individuals, communities and local businesses to fundraise for Duchenne UK, providing outstanding stewardship and care throughout their journey.
• Recruit participants for both ‘run your own’ and third-party challenge events (runs, cycles, walks, skydives, etc.), developing long-term relationships with supporters – including families directly connected to the Duchenne community.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a fundraising, events, or community engagement role within the charity sector.
• A proven track record of meeting income targets and growing a supporter base.
• Experience engaging and supporting a diverse range of fundraisers including individuals, schools, community groups, and local businesses.
• Experience recruiting, supporting, and motivating volunteers.

Essential skills and attributes:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a wide range of supporters.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Confident using a CRM database and Microsoft Office suite; experience with online fundraising platforms (e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse).

As Community Manager at StandOut you wi l be responsible for shaping and leading our support of participants as they leave the prison gates and begin life in the community. From managing and supporting a team of passionate and dynamic community coaches as they work with participants, to working with programmes leadership to set the strategy and direction of the community team, the role is varied, stretching and incredibly rewarding. This role would be ideal for someone with previous experience managing a team, overseeing and driving a delivery area and a good understanding of the cha lenges faced by those caught up in the criminal justice system, gained either by working in prison or through a range of work outside prison.

We believe in connectivity, and ensure that we connect as a team by being together in our Vauxha l workspace as much as we can. However, getting the balance right is important to us and we appreciate that working across London means that working from home or a coffee shop is the best place to be on some days. As part of the community team there wi l be days that you spend in prison, particularly during delivery, when working hours wi l be longer due to the prison daily regimes that we have to work within whilst delivering our course.

• Lead the implementation of our exciting new community fundraising strategy, bringing our enthusiastic fundraisers across the country around a common goal that promotes our brand locally, embeds our work in local communities, and ultimately drives targeted income growth through donations and legacies,
• Lead the mass participation fundraising team to deliver a high-quality national event portfolio, generating income, amplifying the Dogs Trust brand and growing our national presence,

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) is looking to appoint a Community Engagement and Reuse Officer to deliver the annual Zero Waste Community Fund programme and help develop a stronger reuse culture across the Liverpool City Region (LCR). This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for up to 10 months to provide maternity cover, from September 2026 to June 2027 inclusive.

Reporting directly to the Strategy and Development Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in engaging community organisations across the Liverpool City Region (LCR) and supporting meaningful behavioural change.

About MRWA

MRWA is a strategic waste and resource management authority, leading on the recycling and management of municipal waste across LCR.

Along with its private sector partners, MRWA manages waste resources, recycling and the transportation of waste on behalf of six district councils across LCR including Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

With a focus on reducing consumption, reusing more and recycling accepted materials in the right manner, the Authority delivers various behavioural change initiatives for residents and organisations across LCR, and this is reflected in its Vision (2025):

About the Service

St Albans & District Foodbank is an independent charity within the Trussell network, operating nine foodbank centres across the district alongside a central warehouse and home delivery service. Over recent years, the Foodbank has developed a “More Than a Foodbank” model, recognising that food insecurity rarely exists in isolation and that many people accessing support are also experiencing poor mental health, debt, housing insecurity, social isolation and wider practical challenges.

Alongside emergency food provision, the Foodbank has developed strong partnership working with Citizens Advice St Albans District, local mental health organisations, statutory services and community groups to create a more joined-up and person-centred support model.

The Reaching Communities partnership between St Albans & District Foodbank, Citizens Advice and Hertfordshire Mind Network aims to provide integrated practical, emotional and wellbeing support within trusted community settings. The partnership focuses on early intervention, reducing repeat crisis, improving access to support and helping people navigate systems before situations escalate further.

About the Role

The Outreach Worker role is intended to feel fully embedded within the Foodbank environment and wider Foodbank Plus model, working relationally and practically alongside the Wellbeing Team, volunteers and partner organisations to support people experiencing hardship and complex life circumstances.

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• Expand employment, health and wellbeing, and community engagement
• Strengthen existing service provision for financial advice, food security, and homelessness support.
• Build strong local partnerships, volunteer networks, and stakeholder relationships.
• Deliver measurable outcomes for residents, with a focus on those experiencing deprivation and marginalisation.
• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with coexisting drug and alcohol difficulties, mental ill-health, these will be clients who are presenting to the police, anti-social behaviour, tenancy enforcement, housing and environmental health services within Hertfordshire.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.

• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To raise greater awareness of complex needs and the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) amongst local service providers. Supporting them to gain confidence in working positively and consistently with people who have multiple needs.

James’ Place, Community Fundraising and Engagement Executive
Job Title: Community Fundraising and Engagement Executive – West Midlands

THE CHARITY 
Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London, Newcastle and Birmingham.
James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.   
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 5,100 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a new role designed to raise and facilitate fundraising for James’ Place Birmingham and to grow community and voluntary sector relationships across the region to raise awareness of James’ Place to drive referrals to our Birmingham centre.
As part of the Fundraising team, you will take a leading role in building strong networks across Birmingham and the West Midlands, helping to establish our centre as a sustainable source of life-saving support for men in suicidal crisis.
The postholder will spend 50% of their time working collaboratively and taking responsibility for establishing fundraising activity across the West Midlands with appropriate support from centre staff and fundraising colleagues, the Head of Fundraising and Communications, Director of Fundraising and External Affairs and the Chief Executive and Trustees. They will spend 40% of their time building community-based relationships with the aim of raising awareness to drive referrals to the centre, working closely with the Head of Centre Birmingham and the Centre Manager in Birmingham to do so. It is recognised that this will vary week to week depending on the current needs of the organisations.
This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual eager to grow their skills and career while helping to secure the funding and relationships needed to achieve the charity’s long-term goals. 
Direct Fundraising Work 50%

• Develop and grow a network of local donors (including HNWI, corporates, community fundraisers as well as Trusts and Foundations), volunteer supporters and influencers across the West Midlands with a view to increasing the fundraising reach of the organisation.

• Support Heads of Centre to identify and engage with a range of partner organisations across Birmingham and the West Midlands, helping to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local statutory, voluntary, and community sector organisations, acting as a professional and approachable representative of the charity.
• Assist with partnership activity, including attending meetings, forums, and events, to share information about services and strengthen local connections.
• Help to coordinate partnership communications and ensure relevant information about the charity’s work is shared clearly and consistently with external partners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to support joined-up approaches to partnership and engagement activity.

Administration 10%

• Ensure all fundraising activities are delivered to a high standard ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM database.
• Work collaboratively with both clinical and non-fundraising colleagues within the Birmingham centre and across the organisation, building their confidence and capability in fundraising activities.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential

• Proven experience of fundraising in the charity sector, with a track record of achieving results in at least two of the following income streams: Community fundraising, Corporate partnerships, events, major gift fundraising from High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Trusts and Foundations.
• Strong understanding of donor motivations and what drives charitable giving across different audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messages and build rapport.
• Confidence and professionalism in engaging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and partners.
• Excellent time management skills
• Practical, resilient, and flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Innovative thinker, open to exploring new ideas and approaches to fundraising.

Community Fundraiser (Covering North Liverpool, Southport, Knowsley & St Helens)

As part of our community team, you will place our supporters at the heart of everything you do by cultivating and stewarding relationships to provide a first-class experience. You are outgoing, independent, able to work instinctively, and confident in making approaches to garner new support.  You will have the ability to translate our story to develop and inspire our volunteers and engage with a wide range of community contacts and high street corporates. The role will be based at our Liverpool fundraising office. The option of hybrid/flexible working where appropriate can be considered.

A good knowledge of the area this role covers and a full driving licence and use of a car in order to travel between Clatterbridge sites and across the wider area is essential.
