Brighton and Hove Parent Carers Council (PaCC) – Co-production, Engagement and Communications Co-ordinator
- 24-28 hours per week, to be worked flexibly, across 4-5 days of the week, with the option for term-time only or 52 weeks/year contract
- Amaze salary band F: £32,886 – £33,855 pro-rata (based on 35 hours week), £18.07-18.60/hr
- 1 year fixed-term contract with the likelihood of extension
- Hybrid working out of Amaze’s Brighton office, with some homeworking
- + 5% pension, pro-rata 26 days a year, + extra 3 days at Christmas + Public Holidays

PaCC is the parent carer forum for Brighton and Hove. We represent parents and carers of children and young people 0-25 with special educational needs and disabilities in Brighton and Hove. We work in co-production with Brighton and Hove City Council, NHS Surrey and Sussex and others to improve local SEND services and support for local families. PaCC is hosted by local Sussex based charity Amaze.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive and passionate person with lived experience to empower and amplify the voices of parent carers in Brighton and Hove. You will thrive on managing multiple projects and workstreams, juggling priorities and working in a small team, where you are able to plan and prioritise your own work. You will be a ‘people-person’ with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to grow engagement in PaCC and strengthen our impact.

FTWW is looking for a Communications Coordinator! The successful candidate will develop and grow the organisation’s online platform, including sharing information, resources and signposting within FTWW’s pan-Wales virtual peer support community and beyond.
The role is full-time (0.8 FTE considered for the right candidate), home-based within Wales, with occasional travel to events and meetings, so a driving licence and access to a car would be an advantage. We work flexibly, but core working hours are between 10am-4pm, and the successful candidate will be expected to work some evening and weekends, as required.
We are a small but mighty charity where no two days are the same. You may be involved in promoting a focus group to our members one day and meeting with a journalist the next. We currently have over 100 registered volunteers and over 2000 members of our online community, and you will work closely with our Volunteer & Community Coordinator to ensure that our members are at the heart of what we do.
The ability to speak Welsh, or a willingness to learn, is desirable.
Successful applicants will need to complete a basic DBS check and provide references before any offer of employment is made.

We’re looking for an empathetic and skilled Facilitating Trainer to join our Lived Experience Training team, supporting autistic trainers and trainers with learning disabilities to co-deliver the Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training across Hampshire.
This nationally recognised programme helps professionals in health and social care better understand and meet the needs of autistic people and people with learning disabilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that trainers with lived experience are supported, empowered, and able to deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions.
We actively welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities, particularly those with lived experience of autism, learning disability, or neurodiversity, and from groups currently underrepresented in our workforce.
You will:
- Facilitate Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training sessions across Fareham, Portsmouth and Southampton
- Support co-trainers with lived experience of autism and learning disabilities to prepare for and deliver training sessions
- Provide practical support around travel, accessibility, preparation and wellbeing needs
- Encourage the development and confidence of co-trainers, supporting them to contribute to and lead sessions where possible
- Ensure that training venues, materials and delivery approaches are adjusted to meet trainers’ individual needs
- Work collaboratively with the wider Lived Experience Training team to manage session registers, feedback and administration
- Support trainers to debrief following sessions where needed, promoting wellbeing and continued participation
- Promote inclusion, respect and empowerment in every training interaction
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Experience delivering face-to-face training, ideally within health, social care or a related setting
- Experience building rapport and working collaboratively with autistic people and people with learning disabilities
- Strong communication, facilitation and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach
- An understanding of the barriers faced by autistic people and people with learning disabilities, and a commitment to inclusion and empowerment
- Knowledge of current issues and best practice within autism, learning disability and health and social care sectors
- Confidence balancing the needs of co-trainers, learners and training delivery requirements
- The ability to work independently as part of a distance-managed team
- Competence using Microsoft Office, Teams and Zoom
- A full driving licence or the ability to travel regularly across Hampshire
Essential requirements:
- Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Facilitator qualification
- Good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Oliver McGowan Tier 1 Facilitator qualification
- A relevant training or teaching qualification
