The Baytree Centre (registered charity no 1175145) is a women and girls social inclusion project based in the heart of Brixton, working to support local women and girls from some of the most deprived wards in Lambeth.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and in response to local needs we offer programmes that include skills development (employability, language); 1-to-1 coaching & mentoring; welfare support; creative & academic activities and that build confidence and self-esteem, promote aspirations, broaden horizons and opportunities that help to improve life chances for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our Services are currently delivered by our Youth Service, Women Service and Volunteer Service. We have a staff body of 27 and pivotal to the success and delivery of the Centre’s programmes is the strong and consistent contribution from our committed and active volunteers.
We are looking for a motivated and efficient person with willingness to develop her skills to join our Youth Service team to help grow the Youth Mentoring programme. The post holder will provide key monitoring and administrative duties, provide 1-to-1 support to mentors, and help with the overall running of the programme as stated by the Mentor & Parent Liaison Manager. The Youth Mentoring programme includes up to 120 mentoring relationships annually.

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator with the Learning and Skills team at the Institute of Physics on a fixed term basis for 18 months. This is a full-time position, although a part time request will be considered, with scope for flexible working across 35 hours a week.
This new position will support the Learning and Skills team in its mission to build a thriving, diverse physics teaching community and will see you working across multiple projects to help ensure that all people, no matter their background or where they live, have access to world-class physics education and training.

What will I be doing?
- Project coordination – working with the Implementation Manager, you will provide support for a number of projects across the department.
- Stakeholder management for the IOP School Affiliation scheme & Community of Physics Teaching.
- Event management - this will involve supporting online and in-person events, managing event bookings, liaising with event venues and event contributors, managing budgets, liaising with colleagues for promotion and evaluating impact.
Projects you work on may include:
- Administration of our physics teaching community. responsibilities will include the maintaining of electronic mailing lists, the drafting of e-newsletters and the organisation of in-person community events.
- Coordinating the Physics Teacher Educator programme - a programme designed to develop those who work to support teachers of physics. Responsibilities include managing relationships with participants, providing support as they progress through the programme.
- Management of the IOP Affiliation Scheme: a paid-for service to support teachers which includes the provision of the IOP publication “Classroom Physics”. Responsibilities include managing subscriptions, invoicing schools, and maintaining mailing lists.
Who will I work with?
- You will be line managed by the Implementation Manager and work with them on projects across the Department.
- You will support the Strategic Lead for Retention and Professional Community and Strategic Lead for Pedagogy and Professional Practice in the delivery of their projects.
- In the delivery of external events you will support and work with our Professional Support Coaches who are based across England and Wales

Press and Marketing Coordinator
Gresham College is a charity which provides high-quality free education to the public across a broad range of subjects. The College aims to stimulate a love of learning and intellectual curiosity and to champion academic rigor, professional expertise and freedom of expression.
Gresham College has been providing free lectures within the City of London for over 400 years. Lectures are attended by an in-person audience and live-streamed around the world. We have currently had over 51 million online views.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The postholder will be responsible for publicising Gresham lectures and speakers to the media to amplify our visibility, enhance our reputation, and attract new audiences to Gresham.
The post-holder will need to be able to translate complex, technical information into clear and engaging press releases and briefings. They will need to be capable of managing proactive, planned press work but also have the ability to react to events and enquiries as well. They should demonstrate a strong track record of working and placing articles with a variety of national / international / print / digital media outlets.
With help from junior staff, they will also proactively inform additional groups of upcoming lectures – for example, faculty heads / administrators of university programs aligned with the respective lecture topic.
They will build relationships with other organisations in our sector with a view to cross-promotion when appropriate.
Finally, they will serve as the primary liaison for external press agencies enlisted to undertake independent or standalone projects.
Reports to Executive Director
Salary £32,000 - £35,000 (Pro-rata, part time, 2 days (14 hours) a week role). Saul Pension scheme (currently 16% employers’ contribution)

Responsibilities
1. Write press releases about key lectures, speakers and series.
2. Disseminate these notices to media contacts (journalists, reporters, bloggers, media outlets) via media relations software, and personal correspondence when appropriate.
3. Build and maintain targeted lists of media contacts within media relations software to increase the efficacy of this work.
4. Act as the liaison between media contacts and Gresham speakers, facilitating collaboration such as the co-authoring of editorials or press interviews.
5. Work with junior colleague(s) to build lists of other contacts who may be interested in particular lectures and manage distribution of information to these groups.
6. Similarly, disseminate lecture information to other broadcast opportunities and platforms, such as membership associations, event-listing websites and newsletters, building reciprocal relationships with sector partners.
7. Serve as the primary liaison for external press agencies enlisted to undertake independent or standalone projects.
8. Report monthly on the above activities and recommend future development of the press and marketing offering.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Between three and five-years’ experience working as a journalist, in a press office or communications team.
2. Robust knowledge of the UK media landscape.
3. The ability to build good, working relationships with press and media contacts.
4. Success in securing national or wider press coverage of stories / stakeholders / campaigns.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to translate complex information and data into messaging for a range of audiences.
6. Proficient in drafting timely and accurate press releases.
7. Ability to organise time effectively, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and multitask with ease.
8. Able to work well under pressure and respond to issues at short notice and occasionally out of hours.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Harris Federation as a main provider ensuring all data remains accurate
- Preparing and updating PowerPoint presentations to promote Apprenticeship programmes
- Organising and promoting events and information sessions
- Ensuring the promotional/marketing strategy drives an increase in apprenticeship applications and delivery across the Federation
- Organising and managing information days for prospective learners / students and supporting the recruitment to various Apprenticeship programmes

Job Description – Projects Assistant
Salary: £25,000 per annum

Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Projects Assistant role description
The role involves identifying relevant project and research opportunities; assisting with developing winning bids and delivering successful projects. Examples of recent projects include developing a water scarcity index for BSi and creating an evaluation framework for water saving campaigns. You will report to a Projects Manager and be joining a small but growing sub-team winning and delivering water efficiency research projects. For example, part of your role will be to support the delivery of an existing Ofwat Innovation Funded Water Literacy project which is developing a new training and accreditation offering on water.
Key responsibilities in the role include:

What is Screen Share?
Screen Share is a grassroots refugee charity which provides laptops, phones, tablets, data, digital skills to refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We use the power of volunteering to turn discarded tech into good quality techical tools for refugees to improve their situation on their own terms. We are now launching a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London and are looking for someone to run it and provide ad-hoc technical support to our team of volunteer laptop refurbishers!
Role overview
Screen Share is looking for a proactive, self-starter and leader to launch a laptop refurbishment training programme for refugees in London, support tech volunteers to remotely refurbish laptops, respond to faults and perceived faults with devices we have provided to service users, and support with sourcing and refurbishing devices.
The postholder will have experience of at least Level 2 laptop repair and an interest in upskilling others in basic laptop refurbishment

In2scienceUK’s aim is to promote social mobility and diversity in science, technology, engineering and maths. We do this by leveraging the skills and passion of researchers and STEM professionals to support young people from low socio-economic backgrounds to achieve their potential and progress to degrees and careers in STEM.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who has excellent written and verbal communication skills to be part of our ambitious fundraising team. You’ll have some experience in forming partnerships and or generating leads through targeted content.
Background to the project:
The Development Officer role is an exciting role which will enable the delivery of an expanded programme in 2024 and beyond. Your main responsibility will be leading our partner outreach for the continued growth of In2scienceUK. Industry engagement is key for the continued expansion of our new In2careers programme. This programme supports young people on their social mobility journey by removing barriers and creating opportunities.
Your specific duties will include:
Planning and strategy
- Identifying corporate partners
- Helping shape our corporate strategy and offer
- Driving corporate engagement
- Overseeing the development of new partnership marketing content
- Reporting and disseminating project outcomes
- Maintaining and managing our funders database (Salesforce)
Delivery
- Formulate high quality fundraising materials to engage new funders.
- Manage and support current major relationships
- Attend meetings to ensure key stakeholders remain updated and engaged in our work
- Generate relevant content for the In2careers platform
- Represent In2scienceUK at events as appropriate, particularly local business networking groups and events involving local universities, research institutes and science societies.
Communications and teamwork
- Play an active role in the In2scienceUK team, and across the organisation as a whole, upholding In2scienceUK’s values and behaviours and fostering good working relationships and enhanced communications with colleagues.
- Understand and comply with charity law and Fundraising Code of Practice with respect to corporate fundraising.
- Keep abreast of CSR commercials and not for profit news and events including fundraising tools and skills development.
- Track, analyse and report upon performance using agreed performance measures. This will include summary reports on accounts.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure proper observance of and adherence to all In2scienceUK’s policies and procedures.
