About the role
This role is pivotal in contributing to the overall mission of RFUK to protect rainforests and support Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
The Programme Support Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring sound management of specific projects in line with strategy, agreed budgets, log frames, work plans and procedures and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. This position involves a wide range of responsibilities, including monitoring project implementation and documentation, as well as ensuring timely and accurate reporting to donors in collaboration with team members and partners.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed-term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The post can be based fully remotely in France or offered as a hybrid role from our London office, with at least 1 day per week in the office. About you
You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a background in project management, preferably in the NGO or international development sector. You possess excellent written and spoken fluency in both English and French, enabling you to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and local partners.
Your experience includes supporting project and financial management, including close liaison with implementing partners, taking high quality meeting notes, and producing succinct reports. You have experience monitoring project implementation and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Your strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure make you an invaluable asset to any team.

Location
This role is offered as either a fully remote-based role in France, or as a hybrid role based in our Bethnal Green, London office. If based in London, the postholder would be required to work in the office at least 1 day per week during their 6-month probation period. This can be reviewed with their Line Manager thereafter.

About this role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis.
This is an important role supporting accurate, timely and compliant financial management across RSBC. You’ll take responsibility for key finance processes including income reconciliations, journals, VAT returns, month-end preparation and audit-ready documentation.
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider team to help maintain strong financial controls, support quality reporting and ensure our finance processes run brilliantly. The Woodland Trust is looking for a Funded Projects Officer to aid the success of our project delivery.
The Role:
• Aid the successful delivery of projects through the development of realistic project budgets that inform internal decision-making and strengthen funding applications.
• Monitor income and expenditure against approved budgets, highlight risks and implications, and help ensure the Trust remains in a healthy financial position.
• Maximise grant income through organised grant claims, good funder relations and effective negotiations.
• Report on restricted income within projects, feeding into budgets, forecasts and year end requirements.
• Manage complicated funding packages, whilst avoiding double funding, and coordinate claims and reports for multi partner projects.
• Ensure compliance with funder, Trust and statutory requirements, including VAT, procurement and funded-project guidance.
• Produce financial and written reports for internal decision-making and for updating funders, project teams, management and senior leaders.
• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average.
• This is a fixed term contract until March 2027.
The Candidate:
• A confident communicator able to listen, interpret, challenge, influence and explain complex financial principles to non-experts.
• Experienced in the development, production and monitoring of project budgets, including analysing implications, risks and assumptions.
• Skilled in project management, delivery and grant management, ideally across multiple projects at any given time.
• Able to develop and deliver high quality numerical and written reports, ensuring accuracy and spotting potential risks.
• An understanding of funder rules, requirements and funding opportunities, maintaining good working relationships with funders.
• Able to consider the impacts and implications of projects on Trust budgets, resources and funds, contributing to accurate reforecasting.
• Experience working in a similar role or fundraising-related role in the charity sector would be advantageous.
