Bounce Back for Kids (BB4K) is a lifeline for children healing from the trauma of domestic abuse. Sadly, the demand for our programme continues to rise. We supported 223 families in 2023 through individual and group therapeutic support sessions.

As a Support and Advocacy Officer you will join a skilled team who collectively provide a unique UK-wide support and advocacy service to over 1500 members.
You will primarily provide direct support and practical guidance to our Fabry members. This patient group is largely adult focused but there will be elements of family and child support. You will raise awareness within both the Fabry community and external agencies; and contribute to the development of resources, to promote self-advocacy within the patient group. A key objective of the role will be to build a sense of community and identity for our Fabry membership. You will also have the opportunity to facilitate and contribute to project work, including youth engagement, advisory boards, and support groups.
In addition to supporting the Fabry community there will also be a requirement to provide support to those affected by other conditions under our umbrella.

Experience & skills

Our staff team comprises of Support Workers, Night staff and two Managers. Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.
In delivering the role, you will work on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day. You will work with the Managers and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our accommodation project. This includes delivering one to one sessions and group work sessions to assist residents to develop personally and socially in order that they grow in confidence and move towards independence. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a committed, professional and skilled Helpline Support worker to provide high quality emotional support, information and signposting in our Support Line team.
The 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is a partnership between Rape Crisis England and Wales, the Rape and Sexual Abuse support Centre (RASASC - Rape Crisis South London) and two other Rape Crisis Centres (ARCH Teesside and Lincolnshire Rape Crisis). About the role:
You will be support victims of ASB, working with a multitude of partners across all local authority areas to ensure their expectations of services are clear and their personal needs are met. You will work with both adults and young people & work closely with partners. Ultimately, you will help them cope, recover and move forward from their experiences.
You will provide high quality support to all victims of Anti-Social Behaviour managing a caseload and offering support over the telephone and in person, including home visits. You will assess the victims needs and provide emotional support, advocacy and practical help.
You will also mentor and be responsible for volunteers who will assist you with your caseload and support lower risk victims.
You will work closely with the local Council(s) ASB team and environmental health department, police, housing and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes for victims, as well as a wide variety of people including people with additional vulnerabilities and repeat victims.
You will need to work well in a multi-agency environment, be dynamic, organised and flexible in how you work and support our clients.
