Partners for a New Economy is seeking a Personal Assistant, for the Director and Grants team. If you have an eye for detail, strong time management and enjoy working as part of a small team, we'd love to hear from you.
Partners for a New Economy (P4NE) is an international donor collaborative of philanthropic foundations, hosted by Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, with the vision of our economy redesigned for nature and all people to flourish. Our website gives more detail on our grant-making and field-building activities. Our six funding Partners are based in the UK, Switzerland, Denmark and the United States, and our current staff team, led by Director Jo Swinson, has 5 people (3.3 FTE) all of whom work remotely (currently based in the UK, Denmark and Switzerland).
Responsibilities to include:
- Managing the Director & Programme Officer’s diaries
- Arranging online and in-person meetings and events
- Booking travel and accommodation for the Director and Programme Officer
- Working closely with the Programme Officer and Director to provide administrative support around our grant-making
- Providing support and completing administrative tasks, as required, to contribute to the activities of the P4NE team

Location: This role is home-based and can be done from the UK or Switzerland (cost of living adjustment will be made to the salary for applicants based in Switzerland). Hours: Min 20 hours/max 40 hours per week, flexible hours possible over 3-5 days each week, to be mutually agreed with the successful applicant

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
- Identify, cultivate and develop a portfolio of Major Donor and Family Foundation prospects.
- Meet or exceed fundraising targets each year.
- Develop high quality funding proposals, applications and reports for submission to prospects and donors.
- Support the development of the new Major Donor fundraising programme, taking a proactive approach to networking, and cultivating new cold contacts and prospects.
- Support the development and delivery of the Stewardship and Events programme and other Philanthropy processes.
- Depending on experience, may be involved in developing the US fundraising strategy with the support of the Senior Philanthropy Manager, Head of P&P and Director of Fundraising.
- Displaying the Trust values and behaviours at all times.
- Ensuring that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promoting inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values.
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience of philanthropy fundraising with a track record of initiating new philanthropic relationships.
- Successful track record of meeting or exceeding income targets.
- Experience of identifying and cultivating cold prospects.
- Experience of deepening donor relationships and growing philanthropic giving year on year.
- Thorough knowledge of legal, financial and ethical considerations related to fundraising from Major Donors and Family Foundations.
- Experience of developing high quality proposals and stewardship reports for prospects and donors.
- Experience of effectively using a CRM system for fundraising.
- Experience of fundraising in the Heritage or Environment sector is desirable.

Area Operations Manager

Working Hours: 37 Hours Monday - Friday, Ocassional Weekend Working.
Location: This is a working from home role, with a reporting base location of Norton, Daventry, NN6 7PE, with regular travel around the southern operational area of the East Midlands region. We are looking for an Area Operations Manager to cover the southern operational area within the East Midlands regional canal network, working from home with a reporting base of Norton, Daventry.
In this role you will lead a team of 11 colleagues (Team Leader, Volunteering Leaders, Operatives), focusing on day-to-day operational management and maintaining safety management protocols across the Grand Union Canal and Grand Union Leicester Line, including iconic locations such as Foxton Locks and Stoke Bruerne, several canal arms (Market Harborough arm, Welford arm, Northampton arm, Stratford arm), as well as a number of reservoirs.

What's the role about?

The role would suit somebody with strong organisational and communication skills, with a passion for, and broad and general awareness of EDI. This would be suitable for someone with a background in EDI who wants to apply those skills in the conservation sector or someone with good EDI knowledge and experience that wants to step up from a more junior role.

- Understanding of a range of EDI issues such as inclusive language, anti-racism and accessibility - with a willingness to grow and develop this specialism with support and training.

Editorial Assistant role
This is a permanent, part-time role for an Editorial Assistant, working remotely (UK). The role will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to experience work on a busy environmental online news platform. You will work alongside our highly experienced editor in a fast-paced environment. In-house training will be provided on all aspects of the role. NEP is seeking an experienced, and motivated individual to lead the Green Meadows team focussing on climate change projects including our Retrofit DIY initiative to maximise the contribution that domestic energy efficiency has in tackling climate change.

As the Green Meadows Project Manager, you will:
· Lead programme implementation drawing on your experience in management and supervision.
· Manage, coach and motivate the staff to deliver effectively against aims, objectives and timelines.
· Use your leadership skills to ensure the delivery of a coherent programme of work across the region.
· Be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is required.
· Have a proactive and pre-emptive approach to your work, you will seek to add value and work with minimal supervision, in line with the wider organisational ethos of NEP.
· Oversee the quality management systems of the team for continuous improvement.
Ideally you will have experience working in the domestic energy sector and a track record of providing training and workshops. You will manage an operating model that is target-focused, and integrates health, housing and social care professionals through frontline staff training about the impact of poor housing on health. You will also maintain a support network and referral system for households to access energy saving grants, training, workshops and advice.
