Our client are looking for a Community Empowerment Manager to join their team in Shrewsbury. They will manage a small team that brings people together to take action on shared goals. These facilitated and sustainable activities will lead to a ripple effect of people acting for nature and the climate.
You’ll successfully close the Trust’s Nextdoor Nature Project in Telford, providing all required achievement, impact and financial reports as well as fully contributing to national evaluation. Managing staff and volunteers delivering community engagement activities will also be a key part of the role, ensuring they fit with the Trust’s three-year strategic goals (and associated budget) for community development. Another, exciting part of the role will be supporting staff to review and modernise our volunteer management systems and implement changes to the wider organisation.

Legal Counsel
The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Legal counsel to join their team in finance and operations department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
As a Legal counsel with Clean Air Fund you would help to work closely with CAF’s Senior Leadership Team to ensure CAF complies with its required legal and funder obligations and to advise on all CAF contracts which primarily constitute grants. The role brings legal expertise to offer expert solution-focused input across a wide range of issues to ensure that as CAF grows rapidly and robustly.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- UK qualified solicitor

Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with the ESC team and stakeholders to design a programme of inspiring energy and climate themed events in Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne, and Wealden, reaching a total of 1000 residents across the year.
- Create engagement opportunities for your team at the events and activities of other organisations and local groups by networking and working with the Communications and Marketing person to promote our services.
- Find interesting speakers and organisations to participate in our events.
- Create public events for our No One Left Behind project, finding new, exciting ways to engage the public in conversation about energy and climate topics.
- Manage the administration and logistics of the events, including room bookings, ticket booking processes, etc.
- Look for opportunities to invite our funder along to events and participate in the activities.
- Manage relationships with staff team and volunteer Energy Champions on local events.
- Create event plans and risk assessments for each event.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Officer and local volunteers to plan PR and promotion of events to agreed timelines.
- Create and work to agreed budgets.
- Ensure you are collecting the data needed to monitor and evaluate the project.
- Create inclusivity in the event registration and attendance experience to support people with a variety of needs.
- Ensure events feed into the wider work and services of Energise Sussex Coast.
- Provide event reports to manager detailing the number of attendees, write-up of the event, and feedback.
- Provide general assistance with ESC events and projects as required.

Summary job description
We are currently recruiting a Project Manager - Advocacy to support the delivery of our new advocacy projects in West Africa. The projects of about $2 million over 3 years will be focused on supporting regional civil society organisations to advocate for the rights of small-scale fishers against industrial destructive fishing and promoting transparent and sustainable fisheries governance.
Reporting to the West Africa (WA) Regional Director with a dotted line to the Head of Programme Management, the Project Manager will be supported by the wider Blue Ventures team, which will provide technical and strategic support and guidance. This is a full time role based in Blue Ventures’ Senegalese office, with regular travel in the West Africa region to work closely with partners, field teams, and communities (up to 20% travels).
The successful candidate will be a motivated, proactive, and highly organised individual, with an excellent knowledge of project implementation and ideally, strong knowledge of partnerships and advocacy. You will demonstrate a proven track record of project implementation, as well as good spoken and written communication. Ideally, you will have experience of community-based conservation and development initiatives in the region.

Fauna & Flora is seeking a highly experienced conservation professional to manage Fauna & Flora’s Central Asia Programme. You will represent Fauna & Flora in the region and ensure the effective management and technical delivery of projects in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, leading on the development of projects in these countries and elsewhere in Central Asia, working in close collaboration with Fauna & Flora’s teams and partners in the region.
You will have a proven track record in operational, project, grant and financial management at a similar senior level. You will be skilled in providing both strategic advice and technical input to the design, development, implementation and evaluation of projects.
Strong leadership and people management skills are essential to the role to ensure a professional and motivated team that delivers effectively against project aims, objectives and timelines. The role also requires a skilled and credible communicator, who is confident in developing and managing relationships internally and with relevant stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental partners, donors and funders.
An advanced degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent level experience as well as strong technical conservation skills are essential. You will have a proven track record in fundraising, experience in institutional development and capacity building and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the statutory and regulatory frameworks within which Fauna & Flora operates in Central Asia. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; Russian or another language relevant to this region is strongly desirable.

As Fundraising Compliance Manager, we want you to oversee and monitor our fundraising activities, promoting a strong culture of compliance and providing assurance sufficient controls are in place to manage risks. . You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure we, and third parties representing us, comply with our regulatory requirements . This will include devising, executing and maintaining appropriate training, policies, procedures, ways of working and compliance frameworks. We will also look to you to carry out regular checks to proactively identify issues as well as recommend and implement solutions towards best practice. You will maintain records of key compliance activities and provide expert advice to colleagues. Important will be the ability to collaborate at all levels and build strong relationships. You must have substantial experience in a similar compliance role ideally in the charity sector as well as strong up to date knowledge of sector regulators and industry bodies and their role in charity fundraising. Comfortable writing policies and procedures, you are able to interpret complex legislation and regulation and disseminate it in a way that is relevant and accessible. You will also have excellent project and risk management skills.
In addition, you will possess excellent communication, negotiating and relationship building skills. Detail orientated, you will be good at prioritising and able to deliver creative solutions in support of fundraising teams. You will be passionate about the aims of WWF-UK too.

THE ROLE
The Support Services Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of Administrators within our Support Services department to deliver exceptional service to our internal stakeholders and supporters. What's the role about?
Stoats were first reported in Orkney in 2010 and their presence threatens a variety of species including the unique Orkney vole, hen harriers, short-eared owls, red-throated divers, waders and seabirds which attract wildlife enthusiasts all year round making a significant contribution to the local economy
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and EU LIFE alongside partner contributions the project is now in a key implementation stage and we are looking for a strong administrator who can support the busy team. As the Senior Administrator, you will be expected to:
- Provide comprehensive business administrative support to the project team, including financial processes, travel and accommodation, events, organising and maintaining materials and equipment, diary bookings and maintaining SharePoint websites.
- Provide a dedicated administrative support service to the steering group, project board and Technical advisory group, including diary management, drafting letters and other communications, organising travel, accommodation and meetings
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the office environment to ensure the office is an efficient, effective and safe place to work.
- Provide comprehensive support to recruiting managers where required for all aspects of the recruitment and induction processes
As the Senior Administrator for a large multidisciplinary team, timely and efficient office management is essential to meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlines. Experience is required in Microsoft Office applications, document management and team collaboration tools with internal and external partners. An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences is essential. Other duties will include organising meetings, taking minutes, organising small and large-scale events, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of the office. Effective teamwork and the ability to work on your own initiative will be vital in this role and you will be expected to continually look at ways of improving office procedures.

CPRE’s Volunteering Development Officer provides excellent advice on best practice in volunteer engagement so we ensure people from all walks of life can volunteer with us. You’ll work with the network of 40 county-based charities and with our national CPRE to expand how we campaign for the countryside through volunteering.
You’ll be working part-time (three days a week) in our Volunteering & Participation team, with the Volunteering and Participation Manager and Volunteering Development Assistant. You’ll also work closely with our Director of Communities and Participation and the Network Engagement team, who are part of the wider Communities and Participation Directorate.
This varied role helps to deliver CPRE’s volunteering strategy, to find a way in for everyone to care for the countryside. You’ll be supporting volunteer coordinators, trustees and others to identify priority volunteer vacancies and assist in driving the recruitment of a diverse range of new volunteers.
You’ll encourage peer to peer networking with Volunteer Coordinators, welcoming new volunteer coordinators into the group and hosting network meetings. Working closely with the Volunteering Development Assistant you’ll be key to the delivery of both our national online volunteer induction programme and our national volunteer awards programme. These initiatives aim to give volunteers a warm welcome to the charity, and recognise and celebrate volunteer achievement.
You’ll receive training to use our volunteer management system Assemble and you’ll support others to make the best use of the system. You’ll be adept at collaborative working, and you’ll be supportive of increasing the diversity of people who volunteer for CPRE. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the team to deliver training, and you’ll be able to develop interesting, impactful new volunteering roles with national and local teams.
