If you would like to use your abilities to raise funds for charities, Chell Perkins Ltd's Grant Fundraiser Traineeship will teach you everything you need to know and you’ll get the chance to join our team of trained consultants.
Chell Perkins Ltd are looking for FOUR people who are passionate about bringing positive change through fundraising. We want to nurture a new generation of fundraisers to provide charities with access to exceptional fundraising support.
We offer a four-month/16 week fully paid traineeship (approx £1,700pm gross) working with real clients in a fundraising consultancy and gaining a recognised certificate with education credits towards CFRE to give you a real headstart in working in the charity sector. There are a number of vacancies at Chell Perkins, and at the end of the course trainees will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
This immersive programme starts on 2nd September 2024 and is home-based, with high-quality training and plenty of support from our experienced fundraising team.

Client mix
Candidates should be aware that at present 70% of our partner charities come from a Christian background (churches or Christian charities). While it is not a requirement to be Christian, candidates must be happy to write for a faith-based audience.

Today, one person every two minutes is diagnosed with leprosy. It’s a disease of poverty, striking the most vulnerable. Left untreated, it causes permanent disability. Stigma means that people affected by this disease are often rejected by those closest to them.

The Dioceses of Worcester, Gloucester and Hereford will be working together in a collaborative venture: your mission will be to lead the delivery of decarbonisation plans across the three dioceses. This role is a key part of the first phase of our ongoing plans, and is a fixed-term post until August 2026, bringing expertise, building capacity and supporting early delivery milestones. This role will focus on hands-on delivery in Worcester, as well as offering support in carbon reduction initiatives for church buildings across the region. You will also line manage two Project Managers in your team across the region, each with complementary specialisms in the field of decarbonisation.
You will join our committed and inspiring team here at the Diocese of Worcester as we work together to deliver real change in our communities. For this role, we welcome interest from those wishing to work either on an employed basis or in a consultancy capacity. You will have:
- expertise in carbon reduction initiatives, preferably within a heritage context; we are also willing to support candidates with appropriate transferable skills in developing specific skills in the area of church buildings
- a passion for reducing carbon emissions and addressing climate change within historic buildings
- strong project management skills
The objectives of this role are:
- drive the decarbonisation programme across the three dioceses, ensuring alignment with and progress toward the net zero carbon targets in each diocese by 2030.
- provide strategic oversight and direction to the overall program, ensuring it remains on track to achieve its carbon reduction objectives.

Are you considering training as a broadcast journalist within a Christian media organisation that cares about how news is reported?
United Christian Broadcasters wants to provide a 12-month training opportunity to an individual whose ambition is to become a journalist and work in a newsroom covering national and international news and current affairs.
Supported by a team of experienced Christian broadcast journalists and producers, you will study and learn on the job. This will include researching, writing for radio / online / social media, recording and editing radio interviews, applying media law and the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, and developing your presentation skills for news bulletins and broadcast reporting. You will be based full time at the UCB Broadcast Centre in Hanchurch, Stoke-on-Trent (Postcode ST4 8RY).
You will need to be a committed Christian, with your own personal transport to get to/from the UCB Broadcast Centre, and you must live within reasonable commuting distance.

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) is a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future.
Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences.
In this role we are looking for an individual that thrives working with children and young people in a school context and is passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. This role requires a formal counselling qualification or at least evidence of notable progress on the journey to attaining a counselling qualification. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents too.
TLG is a Christian charity and, as a team, we want to bring our faith to the work we do; as such, we are recruiting an individual with a strong and active Christian faith. We are seeking a positive, team-focused, relational Trust Fundraising Officer to join our creative and busy Fundraising and Communications Team.
You will be responsible for liaising with grant givers, and writing and submitting high quality, compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations. The ideal candidate will enjoy cultivating positive relationships with funders, liaising with our outward focused ministry teams to build excellent submissions and will thrive in a high pressure environment. With your excellent time management and organisational skills, you will take ownership of a portfolio of small-medium grant-makers, contributing towards a shared annual income target. You will be joining us at a great time, as we look to strengthen and grow our team.
Salaried at £27,701 per annum. The role is full time.
