Responsibilities of our Income Processing Team Leader
- To lead the team of Supporter Services Advisors, who are responsible for managing fundraising income processing, the efficient coding and allocation of fundraising income, and the accurate creation and maintenance of supporter records.
- This role will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to understand and develop governing principles of fundraising processing and administration of donations, to help deliver the best possible service to a wide range of customers, including supporters, staff and volunteers.
About the Supporter Services team:
- The Supporter Services team is part of the Cats Protection Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
- We answer queries from supporters about memberships, sponsorships, lotteries, raffles and donations. We also record and update the contact preferences of our supporters to ensure we only send communications which are wanted.
- We currently have a team of 11
What we’re looking for in our Income Processing Team Leader:
- Demonstrable experience of line managing staff including setting objectives, managing performance, conduct, staff development, induction and training in line with organisational policies
- Experience of working in an income processing role, preferably within a fundraising environment
- Experience of developing, monitoring and maintaining recording systems and procedures
- IT literate – proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases (preferably Care or similar)
- Knowledge of fundraising activities

The Senior Finance Assistant and Payroll Administrator will provide financial administrative support for the Finance Team, and the payroll function for the organisation, allowing appropriate information to be provided to stakeholders at all times.
You will support the implementation of our Finance strategy and have empathy for the work of Teesside Hospice.
You will assist in providing a communication link between the Finance Department and other departments who rely on robust support.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure the effective day to day operation of your duties, thus allowing The Financial Controller to prepare timely, complete and accurate management accounts. A large element of the role involves taking the lead on the purchase ledger system. The role also involves other aspects such as daily logging of donations, weekly reconciliation of lottery membership records, bank reconciliations, submitting Gift Aid claims and more outlined in the duties section.
You will lead in preparing, running and finalising the payroll for companies in the Teesside Hospice group. You will be the payroll link between the Finance Department and other departments who rely on our support. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and Group Director of Resources to ensure the effective day to day operation of the payroll, thus allowing for accuracy of payments to staff alongside meeting all of the necessary regulatory requirements i.e. apprenticeship levy, SMP, auto enrolment.
You will be highly organised and able to work to deadlines, working independently as well as collaborating as part of a team. An enjoyment and appreciation for attention to detail is essential.

Operations Coordinator (maternity leave cover)
We are recruiting a fixed term Operations Coordinator (maternity leave cover) to join our team. This role will be responsible for coordinating our Finance and HR administration as well as providing Executive Assistant support to the Director.
Suitable candidates will:
- be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol,
- have experience of Finance and/or HR coordination, with excellent organisation skills
- have excellent time-management, attention to detail and be a skilled and effective communicator, both in writing and orally, with a range of people and agencies
- be proactive, self-motivated and confident to take initiative
- enjoy working as part of a small and busy team
