Hackney CVS is looking for a Development Manager to lead our Organisational Development work and strengthen support for the voluntary and community sector (VCS) across Hackney and the City of London.

Overall Job Purpose:

Seeds of Peace is an organisation which inspires and cultivates new generations of global leaders in communities divided by conflict by providing them with the skills, relationships, and community to transform conflict into progress. This Seeds of Peace Camp brings together young people from across Egypt, India, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, and US and UK to work collaboratively with peers in a multi-national setting. The Camp staff team consists of counselors, facilitators, activity leaders and a leadership team, all working together to create and implement the camp programme and contribute to an environment of harmony at Camp. The role of Counsellor is to guide and mentor campers in their day to day experience of camp. Counsellors are by campers' side throughout their journey, encouraging and supporting them along the way.

Main responsibilities include:

Camper Support and Supervision

• Supervise campers in residential and activity groups, ensuring you know where campers are at all times.

• Support campers in their day-to-day needs, including proactively supporting campers emotional and physical wellbeing and managing camper behaviour.

Notes

The Public Interest News Foundation (PINF) is the UK’s first charity that exists to promote high-quality journalism. Last year, we launched an ambitious ten-year mission to regenerate local news in the UK. Purpose of the Role

The Programmes Officer will support the PINF team across our three workstreams: the Local News Fund; Local News Campaign; and Local News Futures programme.

· Through the Local News Fund, we work with grantmakers and social investors (including government-backed fund managers) to unlock new economic resources for local news across the UK.

· Through the Local News Campaign, we work with the BBC, big tech firms, central and local government, MPs, Peers and regulators to shape a positive enabling environment for local news across the UK.

· Through the Local News Futures programme, we work with academics, civil society organisations, journalism support organisations and local news providers to showcase models of local news with the most positive impact.

The Programmes Officer will provide support with events, research and campaigns across these workstreams, and will also provide support with our organisational functions, including communications, fundraising and governance.

By providing efficient and effective support to the team, the Programmes Officer will unlock new potential for PINF to deliver our charitable purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Events

· Support the Deputy Director with the successful delivery of the annual Local News Forum by:

o Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date project plan

o Contributing to the effective marketing of the event within PINF’s network of independent local news providers and stakeholders

o Managing ticket sales and maintaining an accurate database of invitees and participants

o Contributing to effective working relationships with partners and suppliers, including venues and sponsors

o Managing speakers

o Supporting budget administration, including tracking agreed expenditure and processing spending in line with approved budgets and under the oversight of the Deputy Director

o Responding promptly and efficiently to queries

o Providing on-the-day support including registering participants, liaising with the venue and catering providers, ensuring smooth technical support and troubleshooting any issues as they arise

Research

· Support the Deputy Director with our research objectives by:

o Organising and minuting twice-yearly online meetings of our Research Advisory Group

o Working with colleagues to ensure the Local News Map is comprehensive and up to date

o Liaising with independent local news providers to support the new Local News Audit

Campaigns

· Support the Campaigns & Communications Manager with our campaign objectives by:

o Managing relationships with independent news providers participating in our annual Indie News Week

o Supporting budget administration for campaign activity, including tracking agreed expenditure and processing spending in line with approved budgets and under the oversight of the Campaigns & Communications Manager

o Supporting key campaign moments including parliamentary events, party conferences, roundtables and other online and offline events

o Providing logistical and administrative support for key campaign moments, including by maintaining participant and invitation lists, tracking RSVPs and preparing background information for colleagues

Communications

· Support the Campaigns & Communications Manager with our communications objectives by:

o Managing the ‘contact’ email inbox

o Supporting the delivery of engaging content across PINF’s blog and newsletter, including gathering stories, opportunities and other relevant material, in collaboration with the Campaigns & Communications Manager

o Managing PINF’s social media channels including LinkedIn, BlueSky and Instagram

o Updating elements and pages across our website

o Supporting PINF’s WhatsApp community of independent local news providers by sharing relevant content, helping eligible participants to join, and assisting with day-to-day moderation

Fundraising

Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom House, Newham.  We deliver a range of projects including Newham District Foodbank (a Trussell Trust foodbank), welfare benefits advice, ESOL classes, work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and their families.

This an exciting time for the programme with a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school being build next door to our centre, and with established relationships with several care homes – we expect that this programme will go from strength to strength.

We are seeking a competent manager for a one year fixed contract to cover maternity leave.

You will have the leadership skills to support a small team of sessional staff. You will be at ease in relating to adults as well as their parents and carers. You will be passionate about the well being and integration of people with learning difficulties with an understanding of their needs.

Digital Fundraising Officer - 12-month Maternity Cover

The Veterans' Foundation is entering its second decade with a clear ambition to build a more sustainable, diversified and data-led fundraising model. Following ten years of rapid growth driven primarily through lottery acquisition, the organisation is now evolving its approach to strengthen supporter engagement, improve retention and maximise fundraising performance across a wider range of income streams.

This role will play an important part in that transition. As the Foundation launches a new website, develops its use of Salesforce and strengthens its supporter communications, the Digital Fundraising Officer will help deliver effective digital fundraising and engagement activity across multiple channels. The postholder will support campaign delivery, manage digital content and platforms, and use data and insight to improve performance and supporter experience.

Principal Duties

The main duties of the Digital Fundraising Officer are:

· To plan, create and deliver fundraising, supporter engagement and stewardship communications across digital channels including email, website and social media

· To manage content across the Veterans' Foundation website, ensuring it remains accurate, engaging, accessible and aligned to fundraising and organisational priorities

· To support delivery of integrated fundraising campaigns across digital channels, helping to maximise income, engagement and supporter retention

· To use Salesforce and other digital systems to support campaign delivery, audience selection, reporting and data management

· To coordinate digital activity with external agencies, suppliers and partners, ensuring work is delivered to agreed standards and timescales

· To monitor and report on digital fundraising and engagement performance, using insight to support continuous improvement

· To contribute to the development, testing and optimisation of digital fundraising activity, supporter communications and online donation journeys

· To support fundraising products and appeals through appropriate digital marketing activity

· To manage relationships with supporters and donors through digital channels, ensuring a positive and engaging supporter experience

· To contribute content, stories and case studies that demonstrate the impact of Veterans' Foundation funding and inspire support

· To support fundraisers with appropriate digital materials, assets and resources

· To maintain awareness of digital fundraising, supporter engagement and charity sector best practice and identify opportunities to improve performance

Person Specification

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

· Experience of working in a digital fundraising, communications or marketing role

· Experience of managing and creating content for digital channels including email, websites and social media

· Experience of managing website content using WordPress or a similar content management system

· Experience of using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce

· Experience of monitoring and reporting on digital campaign performance

· Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop clear, accurate and compelling content for different  audiences

· An understanding of charitable giving and the factors that motivate people to support charitable causes

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

· Good analytical skills and the ability to use data and insight to inform decision-making

· A high level of digital literacy, including experience of digital platforms, fundraising tools and reporting systems

· Experience of working with external agencies, suppliers or partners

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

· Ability to work collaboratively within a small and fast-moving organisation

Fundraising Compliance Officer (Temporary) London | Hybrid working | £17.03 per hour | 3-month duration

The Role

You’ll join a small, collaborative compliance function, working closely with colleagues across fundraising, data and legal teams. This is a hands-on role with a mix of operational delivery and process improvement.

You will play a key role in helping the organisation maintain high standards of compliance across all fundraising activity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and triaging a busy compliance inbox, ensuring queries are responded to or escalated effectively
• Reviewing fundraising and marketing communications to ensure compliance with internal policies, data protection legislation and the fundraising code of practice
• Supporting GDPR and consent management processes, including maintaining records and reviewing documentation
• Assisting with the review of legitimate interest assessments and consent frameworks
• Monitoring third-party fundraising activity, including reviewing call recordings and identifying any compliance risks

About You

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced administrator to provide efficient administrative support to the Training, Learning and Assessment team, ensuring that trainer, assessor and programme administration is accurate, up to date and well organised. This role is central to the effective administration of the Training, Learning and Assessment function. The postholder will provide practical day-to-day support to help ensure that trainers and assessors receive timely information, accurate documentation and well-coordinated administrative processes.

Working closely with the Training, Assessment, Learning and Curriculum (TALC) Coordinator and the Head of Learning, the Administrator will help maintain records, support communication, coordinate meetings and training activity, and contribute to the smooth delivery of programmes across the organisation.

Main duties & responsibilities

Assessment Administration

• Administer assessment processes, ensuring learner submissions, assessment materials and related documentation are processed accurately and securely.

• Track assessment progress and turnaround times, updating records and following up with assessors as required.
• Receive, record and process completed assessments, ensuring learner feedback is distributed promptly and records are updated.

• Act as the first point of contact for routine trainer and assessor enquiries, escalating issues where appropriate.

Quality Assurance and Compliance Administration

• Maintain quality assurance, compliance and assessment documentation in accordance with organisational procedures.
