There is significant potential to be realised within the existing donor base of philanthropists and corporate supporters. As Fundraising Manager, you will support the team to develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with supporters, managing a small portfolio of your own donors and leading on the day-to-day contact with corporate partners and event sponsors.
As Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Manage a pool of HNWIs, corporate partners and event sponsors focusing on delivering compelling stewardship plans to deepen relationships with supporters and secure income
- Proactively identify and research major donor and corporate prospects, and develop individual cultivation plans to move along the pipeline
- Create high-quality and innovative pitches and presentations to engage prospective donors/partners
- Manage relationships with event sponsors ensuring key deliverables are met
- Support the delivery of Elephant Family’s renowned events, primarily focusing on managing the relationships with guests, event partners, and sponsors
- Work with the Programmes team to identify funding opportunities aligned to donors’ interests and current funding needs
- Take ownership of the database (Salesforce) ensuring donor records are up-to-date to allow for effective supporter communications and engagement
Ideal skills and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with HNWIs and corporate partners at the 5-figure+ level
- Proven experience of soliciting and securing support from prospects
- Strong writing skills with ability to create engaging content, proposals, pitches, presentations, reports and other donor communications
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to manage a varied workload
- Strong communication and networking skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders of all levels (SMT, Trustees, senior volunteers, donors, partners, colleagues)
- Database management skills
- Team player, creative, trustworthy, target-driven and proactive

As Trusts and Foundations Officer, you will use your strong writing and interpersonal skills to build relationships with trusts and funding bodies that lead to long-term funding and support. You will have the opportunity to secure funding for projects you are really passionate about, you’ll identify new trusts and foundations of all sizes (£1,000 - £100,000+) and build relationships with them.
If you are able to grow income over the next couple of years there will be an opportunity to progress to manager level internally.
You will need:
- Experience in trusts fundraising or another fundraising area
- Excellent writing skills and a passion for creating compelling copy
- A creative approach, strong work ethic and an eagerness to develop professionally
Salary: £28,000 - £31,500
Contract: Permanent Full time

The Prince of Wales Hospice is passionate about providing specialist care for adults with a terminal diagnosis, and also those around them. The hospice offers a 13-bedroom ward for patients who need round the clock care as well as a Wellbeing and Outreach service – in total the Prince of Wales Hospice cares for over 300 people a year! Despite costing £11,000 a day to run the hospice and £4m a year, all of the services are entirely free of charge to patients and their families so the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income.

We are looking for a Trusts and Major Gifts Officer to join the ambitious and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice.
The Role
As a Trusts and Major Gifts Officer you will be responsible for developing and delivering an annual Fundraising plan from charitable trusts and foundations. Duties will include:
· Maximising unrestricted donations from charitable trusts
· Working collaboratively across the organisation, particularly with Income Generation Leaders
· Developing and implementing a mid-level gifts direct mail programme
· Planning and overseeing the delivery of excellent stewardship of supporters to maximise donor loyalty and lifetime value.
The Person
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who ideally has proven fundraising or bid writing experience to take this established trust fundraising programme to the next level. We would also be interested in speaking with people with excellent written communication and creative writing skills looking to transition into this exciting area.
You should be a flexible and resilient team player, adept at putting together compelling cases for support and presenting complex information. Ideally you will have the ability to nurture relationships with existing and potential supporters, creating sustainable income from loyal donors.
With strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build lasting relationships and a passion for fundraising and community this could be the next exciting step in your fundraising career.

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have proven experience of developing fundraising strategies and delivering to large income targets. You will have demonstrative experience in fundraising and donor relations in the charity sector and be experienced in leading and managing fundraising campaigns/activities. You will be a confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and public speaking. Proven leadership and team management experience and familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems is essential for the role. In addition to the technical skills, you will be a personable candidate who has strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills. The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children. Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is what drives their fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds needed to protect children and prevent abuse.
Through Speak out Stay Safe, a primary school safeguarding programme, NSPCC reached 1.2m children in 2022/23 and helped many more through their other services, which include a helpline, community events and campaigning for policy and practice changes. The charity also developed new services to help families, campaigned to change laws, shared information about abuse and how to recognise it, and developed new tools for children, parents and professionals.
The Philanthropy Individuals team focus on high level, infividual donors and are responsible for securing 4- to 7-figure plus gifts. The team consists of 12 fundraisers, who collectively raise £3.5M a year. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, the Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest will potentially manage one membver of this team.
You will also be responsible for maximising the long term relationships of all new and existing individual donors capable of gifts ranging from £5k to £1M+, driving new business with the support of your line-/dotted-line support.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager – Northwest, you will:
- Identify, develop and cultivate major donors up to 7-figure level, supporting a team income target of c.£700k
- Grow your own portfolio of major donors with focus on £100k+ prospects
- Play a leading role across North West to raise the profile of engagement with major donors
- Develop and deliver strategies to improve relationships with supporters and prospects to increase income for NSPCC
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience raising income from major donors at 5- and 6-figure level
- Leadership, management and team-building skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop fundraising strategies
- Line management experience desirable
