Position: Schools Coordinator
Salary: £26,388 plus £500 home working allowance per annum (to be pro-rata to 0.5fte)

The Role:
In 2021, the organisation announced a new 10+ year strategy to make the biggest impact they can to stop child abuse and neglect. The Local Services teams are an essential part of how three main strategic goals will be delivered:
- Everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse
- Every child is safe online
- Children feel safe, listened to and supported
Local Services brings together their work in schools, local campaigning and direct services across 9 regions and nations. The North West Schools Service team plays an integral part of the mission as it's responsible for delivering the schools offer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Be the single point of contact for primary and secondary schools within the designated area, including non-mainstream settings
- Coordinate the delivery of the Speak out. Stay safe programme
- Promote the secondary school offer
- Be responsible for overseeing the delivery of volunteer led workshops to 6-7 and 9-11 year olds
- Lead and manage a diverse team of existing volunteers
- Work to set targets and KPIs
- Be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external relationships
- Recruit, train and retain new or existing volunteers providing ongoing development
- Maximise opportunities and partnership working
- Be confident in presenting to stakeholders, such as local authorities and senior school leaders
- Represent Local Services and the organisations Schools Service in the public forum
- Be an active contributor to internal projects and workstreams

Rose Voucher Project Officer, Southwark Rose Vouchers for Fruit and Veg Project
The Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project in Southwark has been successfully supporting families with young children to ensure fruit and vegetables are a part of their everyday diet since 2018. As we enter the seventh year of the project, we are now looking for a new member of staff to join the 1st Place Rose Voucher Project team and support our work in delivering the project, while measuring its wider impact on families. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working in a community setting and an understanding of impact and evaluation to take on a key role in the project, involving ongoing interaction with families and professionals.
Job Summary
As Rose Voucher Project Officer, you will be working alongside the Southwark Rose Voucher Project Lead to forward the development of the Rose Voucher Project in Southwark. Your key areas of responsibility will be registering new families onto the Rose Voucher Project, overseeing the two Rose Voucher distribution sessions which take place at both our centres, supported by our dedicated Rose Voucher volunteers, and coordinating and supporting the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Project. You will also provide support to our network of other Rose Voucher distribution centres in Southwark to ensure they are working in a coordinated way and according to agreed processes.
You will be a motivated individual, with excellent written and communication skills, and proven experience of working in a community setting where service users are valued, listened to and respected. Previous experience working with and signposting families is essential to ensure that our Rose Voucher families are aware of the many services and activities available to support and increase their health and wellbeing. The Rose Vouchers Project is an integral part of the wider Family Hub team at 1st Place, so you will be working in a busy environment, with colleagues who are all as committed to providing a friendly service and positive experience for families as you are.

The post holder will work with the Fundraising Assistant to manage SHS’s small trusts and foundations programme securing four-figure grants, as well as managing a portfolio of medium trusts and foundations to secure five-figure grants.
This role is a great opportunity for candidates with some experience in trusts and foundations fundraising looking to progress in their career. You will be part of a small team who work closely together, and there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and experience. The Policy and Public Affairs (PAPA) team is part of the Strategy and Knowledge Directorate at the NSPCC. The Directorate exists to help shape the world around us – and what the NSPCC does – so that it reflects what we have learned and can help keep children safe from abuse.
The Policy and Public Affairs team works across the four nations of the UK to influence legislation, policy and practice to ensure they are as effective as possible in preventing harm and abuse of children. We are recruiting a Policy and Regulatory Manager to play a central role in delivering our strategic ambitions to transform the online world so it safe for children. The post holder will play a management role in the high performing PAPA team which has a track record of successful influencing to ensure legal, policy and regulatory frameworks are fit for purpose in preventing, responding, and tackling child abuse and neglect.
The Policy and Regulatory Manager will spearhead our policy and influencing activity to make the Online Safety Act work for children. This will include delivering our regulatory strategy. They will be responsible for leading policy projects that contribute towards the NSPCC’s strategic objectives, using their skills and experience to strengthen our impact on public policy and regulatory decisions. In turn, they will make a significant contribution to keeping children safe.

- Develop business models underpinning financial planning and provide the financial inputs for business cases
- Assist teams in developing their strategy and building business cases for investment spend within their areas, providing financial and commercial insight and challenging to ensure best value for money and efficiencies.
About you
You'll be an experienced qualified certified accountant with relevant post qualification experience, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
You'll have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the proven ability to work collaboratively and influence the decision making of a diverse set of stakeholders.
To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
- Experience providing strategic and finance business partnering support to senior managers
- Experience in the preparation of management accounts and involvement in financial planning and budgeting processes
- Experience managing awards, including budget and financial report preparation
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (and an advanced Excel user)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to identify financial issues as they arise, assess their likely impact, and devise appropriate responses

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

About you
As our Fundraising Executive - Direct Engagement you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. You will support our Direct Engagement Managers, to lead multi-channel campaigns, focusing on both Face to Face and Telemarketing initiatives. With an 80% allocation to Face to Face and 20% to Telemarketing, you will be at the forefront of our growth trajectory.
In this role, you will:
- Assist the Direct Engagement Managers in crafting compelling campaigns to drive donor acquisition and income targets.
- Seamlessly navigate between Face to Face and Telemarketing activities, ensuring campaign cohesion.
- Coordinate the delivery of fundraising materials across various acquisition channels.
- Maintain meticulous records of campaign activities, generating insightful reports for performance evaluation.
- Champion supporter insight and data analysis, driving continuous improvement in acquisition outputs.
- Ensure fundraising activities comply with legislation and best practices, maintaining our fundraising compliance program.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proficiency in fundraising regulations, with a knack for resolving day-to-day issues.
- Strong project management abilities, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in acquiring new donors through external fulfilment agencies.
- Expertise in monitoring and analysing campaign targets, results, and KPIs.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mystery shops, shadowing site visits, and call listening.
- Track record in developing and delivering materials, as well as training sessions.
- Aptitude for utilising data insights to drive strategic decisions and manage budgets effectively.
