The role

We are looking for an exceptional Major Donor Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our new major donor team. Working closely with our Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager, this new role will lead on nurturing high-value relationships with prospective major donors who have capacity to give between £10k and £100k to FareShare, and develop and deliver a calendar of high-value cultivation events tailored to opportunities within our networks to strengthen relationships and maximise support.

As the cost of living crisis pushes millions into food insecurity, and the world is faced with a climate emergency, the difference you can make by joining the major donor team is substantial. Our dual social and environmental purpose has never resonated more with donors and we have just launched an ambitious strategy to double the number of meals we can provide, amplifying our impact and presenting a compelling case for support.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with a portfolio of prospective major donors, understanding their philanthropic motivations, nurturing an affinity in FareShare, and tailoring opportunities for engagement to inspire major gifts.
• Foster a deep understanding of FareShare's work and strategy to effectively communicate, inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the FareShare regional network and building a sound understanding of FareShare operations to support warehouse and frontline charity visits and tours.
• Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen donor relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of donor support.
• Lead the planning and delivery of engaging cultivation events through opportunities presented in our networks, aimed at establishing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
• Prepare effective briefs for our CEO and other senior stakeholders attending major donor meetings or events.
• Work closely with the Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager to enrich the prospect pipeline, always seeking opportunities within our internal and external networks.
• Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
• Constantly scan the external environment and charity sector to optimise major donor experiences and identify new opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in our CRM system and consistently update cultivation plans.
• Ensure compliance with Fundraising Codes of Practice and GDPR.

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

The service provides 24hr supported accommodation for adults with complex needs within the Lambeth Vulnerable Adults Pathway. We support 18 people, in individual studio flats, offering a unique self-contained environment.

The people we support may benefit from a supported transition towards increased independence, or have been unable to thrive within a traditional communal hostel.

Move-on is a key focus and the team work very closely with the Lambeth pathway manager to identify and secure appropriate options for clients.

About you

In this role you will work alongside the manager, a psychologist and lead workers. You will play a major, creative role in maintaining and furthering a safe Psychologically Informed Environment. We support women and men with complex needs, including challenges with substance use, mental and physical health.

You will line manage three Lead Workers, providing support through structured supervisions. You will play a major part in creating a safe environment for residents who have experienced homelessness to thrive in, where people are able to build their confidence and pursue new opportunities.

Since 2017, Worldwide Radiology has been steadily growing from a small group of founding UK radiologists with experience of working in limited resource settings to an international team of around 50 long-term volunteers from a range of different imaging and clinical backgrounds.

Overview

The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for quickly grasping the needs of three ongoing projects, steering them toward desired impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and managing risks effectively to bring these projects into shape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders, including our volunteers, partners and donors to build and nurture strong working relationships.

They will contribute to seeking out further grant opportunities within the sector, working closely with the rest of the programmes team and the fundraising team.

(a) oversee the smooth running of our projects; 

(b) provide strong, holistic solutions, focused on operational leadership; and

Role-Specific Responsibilities

1. Provide overall day-to-day management for WWR projects and WWR volunteers, reporting directly to the WWR Director.

2. Oversee the development and operational execution of detailed work-plans and budgets for WWR programme

3. Track all milestones and reporting schedules, taking timely action to ensure they are met.

4. Develop and deliver project MEAL activities in collaboration with our external MEAL consultant.

5. Produce (gather, collate and edit)  high quality, timely project progress, annual and donor-specific reports.

10. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, induction and management of both UK and international WWR volunteers.
     

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.

• Experience in grant or contract management in a humanitarian or development environment.

Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.

Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.

General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.

You'll have responsibility for identifying and approaching trusts and foundations and seek their support of Cancer Research UK's (CRUK) campaign priorities, and in particular, the Francis Crick Institute. This high value fundraising role will focus on securing 5-7-figure gifts.

• Managing a prospect pool of trusts and foundations with the aim to secure gifts of £100K+ as well as building a base of committed donors at lower level.

• Managing a programme of cultivation and stewardship for all trusts and foundations and ensure consistent pipeline movement for prospects within the role's portfolio.

• Developing and implementing a trusts and foundations strategy for the Francis Crick Institute, maximising the broad range of fundraising opportunities the Crick offers

• Driving and developing funding proposals and stewardship reports to an excellent standard in collaboration with science engagement colleagues

• Maximising gift opportunities to deliver against agreed targets and objectives. Providing regular reporting and metrics against goals to support portfolio reviews and ensure the portfolio remains on track to deliver organisational goals.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at the Francis Crick Institute and CRUK, including academics, researchers, and institutional leaders along with our philanthropy services and science engagement teams.

What skills are we looking for?

• Extensive experience of successfully soliciting gifts from trusts and foundation at five and six-figure level.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex environments and competing priorities.

• Proven track record of trust and foundation fundraising in the not-for-profit sector, ideally in a research environment and/or large organisation.

• Have a "can do" attitude and a demonstrated ability to problem solve.  Ability to apply past experience of trust fundraising to anticipate potential challenges and address them quickly.

Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. Our mission is to support people who have survived or witnessed torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team and lead our fundraising efforts. This is a key role in ensuring we have the resources to continue providing vital support to survivors of torture and human rights violations. Our client, a leading London university, is looking to appoint a temporary Research Information Management System (RIMS) Developer , to support the development of their RIMS, Pure.

This is a part time role, 1 - 2 days per week, running for 3 months in the first instance. This role would be fully remote.

This position would not include any web development, but would be working to support the configuration of the system and liaise with a web development agency, as well as the Pure provider (Elsevier). You will also be required to integrate Pure with the University's website, and provide support to the IT department where necessary.
