We are an ambitious Hospital charity with an exciting opportunity to join us on our team as a Fundraising Assistant, initially on a three month contract with potential to extend.
We currently raise between £1-2m a year for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust which has four sites local to Hertfordshire, including the Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (North London). About you
Ideally you will already have experience in an administration or customer service role and looking to start a career in fundraising. You will be looking for 20-37.5 hours a week and can work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at fundraising events.
Main duties of the job
- Provide support to the department on a range of administrative tasks including, dealing with enquiries (postal, telephone, email, face to face), opening and sorting post.
- Work to build excellent relationships with donors to provide a high standard of customer care.
- Process one-off and regular donations ensuring procedures are followed and information is recorded correctly onto the database and thank you letters are sent.
- Work with cancer centre volunteers to support the team with administration tasks.
- To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising.
- To assist the fundraisers with administration of staff lottery, raffles and prize led promotion and fundraising as required.
- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at internal and external events.
- Manage ‘Gift in Kind’ donations and our ‘Gift in Kind’ Campaigns.

Abortion Support Network is a largely volunteer-run charity that helps people living in European countries with bad abortion laws and provision access safe abortions in clinics abroad. ASN provides practical information, support, funding, travel and accommodation.
We are looking for a candidate to cover our Fundraising and Communications Manager’s maternity leave from the end of June 2024 until the end of March 2025. For a large international NGO, we're recruiting an Interim Finance Analyst for their Strategic Operations and Country Programmes team. This role will support Nigeria and India country programme teams, and a complex grants portfolio. This role will analyse financial performance ensuring integrity and accuracy of data reported and help support commercial decisions. This role is for at least 6 months and is hybrid working.
Main Duties:
- Compliance - review monthly country programme P&L, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop automated reconciliation and reporting
- Effective roll out of global standards and compliance reporting, ensuring all global audit requirements are actioned
- Collaborate with Donor teams, and Regional Programme Officer to ensure Donors' compliance requirements are understood
- Analyse financial and service data, variance analysis and trend analysis
- Support budget versus actual variance analysis and support the creation of financial models
- Financial forecasting, reporting and KPI tracking

The role
Our services are growing. We are looking for locally based sessional facilitators to support the delivery of our Moving Forward courses across the UK. Our Moving Forward courses are for anyone with a primary breast cancer diagnosis who has finished their hospital-based treatment. Courses are a combination of face to face and online support and are delivered in partnership with local NHS Trusts/Boards. The number of courses can vary across locations but will typically be between 2 - 4 courses a year.
This is offered as a contract for services position and as such the appointed contractor would not be an employee of Breast Cancer Now but a self-employed individual. We require all contractors to adhere to and follow Breast Cancer Now applicable policies and procedures and to undertake some mandatory training in core subjects such as data protection and cyber security. A satisfactory criminal record check will be required.

You will be based locally to one of the available locations with a strong background in group facilitation and course delivery. You will also have excellent organisation and time-management skills, superb oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask. You will work independently across a geographical area, supported by the regional services team and our local volunteers.

Overall Description
The Director of Programs oversees the management of Grassroot Soccer’s priority partnership geographies (Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zimbabwe) while strengthening the technical assistance to Partners in all geographies as well as coordinating new partnerships globally. The Director of Programs will work closely with the Vice President, Impact and Operations and Director of Strategy and Innovation to develop strategic plans for all Partnership geographies. This position is strategic for Grassroot Soccer, contributing to the organization’s mission and the GRS 5 Year Strategic Plan. The Director of Programs – Maternity Cover would assume the responsibilities of the Director of Programs position while the Director of Programs is on maternity leave.
Grassroot Soccer (GRS) is a rapidly growing adolescent health organization that leverages the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize at-risk youth in developing countries to overcome their greatest health challenges, live healthier, more productive lives, and be agents for change in their communities. Since 2002, GRS programs have reached 13 million young people in over 60 countries with life-saving HIV prevention and sexual and reproductive health information and services. Grassroot Soccer is looking to continue scaling its impact via partnerships over the next five years.
The Grassroot Soccer Partnerships (GP) team stewards GRS relationships with a wide range of partner organizations globally. The GP team supports these organizations to integrate the GRS model into their adolescent health strategies and coordinates the remote and in person technical support to these organizations to increase their capacity to deliver GRS interventions. This technical assistance includes but is not limited to program design, product development, monitoring and evaluation, Coach development, program optimization, youth engagement, and research.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee Grant Management across all Priority Partnership Geographies (40%)

From grant kickoff stage to grant close out, ensure Program Managers (PMs) for priority partnership geographies (Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Zimbabwe) execute grants and meet deliverables on time and on budget

We’re looking for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our Public Fundraising Team as maternity cover in the role of Community & Events Fundraising Manager. You will be joining our talented team at an exciting point as we embark on our new five-year strategy to grow income for St George’s Hospital Charity.
In this role, you and your team will play a crucial role in delivering fundraising growth through developing a portfolio of supporter-led events and community fundraising activities and providing excellent supporter care to existing and future supporters to achieve income goals. You will shape, develop, implement and deliver core events and community activities through the leadership of this function. Critical to your success will be your positive and pro-active approach and your communication skills and strategic thinking capability.

Joining the dynamic Brand and Marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in championing their brand and driving data-informed marketing and communication strategies to realise their vision.
Key Responsibilities:

•Ability to collaborate effectively across complex organisational structures.
•Demonstrated brand stewardship and proactive engagement in organisational branding initiatives.
•Experience managing content production for various formats including collateral, publications, social media, and multimedia.
•Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
•Strong initiative, eagerness to learn, and a sense of ownership.
•Proficiency in IT tools including Microsoft Office and some familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
What's on offer:
This role is offering a competitive day rate based on an annual salary of £35,000. They offer a flexible working pattern, ideally attending their Central London office once a fortnight. The post holder must have the right to work in the UK.
