Key duties and responsibilities

The Postholder will provide excellent relationship and account management to Mind's existing corporate partnerships to maximise mutual value and impact. They will plan and deliver partnership initiatives, in line with the CorporatePartnerships strategy, to achieve ambitious income targets. This role will contribute to the Corporate Partnerships team accountabilities:

-Secure and grow restricted and unrestricted income via out mutually beneficialcorporate partnerships

The Individual Giving team is focused on recruiting supporters to give a one-off donation or a direct debit to Mind. The team creates insight-led and creative fundraising campaigns and stewardship activities that acquire, retain and deepen engagement with supporters building long-term relationships that help deliver income for Mind.

About the role

Will you join us?

We're recruiting 2 x Individual Giving Officer roles to join the team.

As an Individual Giving Officer, you will support the Senior Individual Giving Officer in generating and delivering inspiring and motivating marketing and stewardship communications - as well as leading on delegated campaigns and projects, to build engagement with supporters and drive long term support for Mind.

You will deliver marketing campaigns from beginning to end - from writing briefs and working with agencies and internal teams on media, creative, data, print, production, and fulfilment, to collating results and using data and insight to optimise activity and deliver a brilliant supporter experience.

You'll be joining a team of friendly and passionate fundraisers, and you'll be supported to develop your skills and personal development plans in a wellbeing focused environment.

The Individual Giving team is a part of the wider Mass Engagement team, and you will play a pivot role in helping the team to reach and exceed their target of raising over £23 million, so that Mind can fight for timely access to great quality care for all.

This role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About you

We'd like to hear from you if you have…

-Experience in planning, delivering and evaluating campaigns or activities, managing timelines, budgets, and multiple stakeholders to meet targets; with a track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs.

-Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with and steward our supporters across a range of marketing channels.

-Experience interpreting and analysing data to optimise marketing, fundraising or communication campaigns or stewardship strategies to improve performance and strengthen loyalty and trust.

-Excellent interpersonal skills and can build strong relationships internally and externally with suppliers, agencies, and stakeholders to collaborate and deliver a high-quality supporter experience.

-Experience in innovative thinking and creative approaches to enhance campaign performance and deepen supporter engagement.

-Experience administering PO & invoicing processes, accurately tracking expenditure to ensure activities are within budget and supporting financial reporting.

Responsibilities of our Income Processing Team Leader

• To lead the team of Supporter Services Advisors, who are responsible for managing fundraising income processing, the efficient coding and allocation of fundraising income, and the accurate creation and maintenance of supporter records.
• This role will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to understand and develop governing principles of fundraising processing and administration of donations, to help deliver the best possible service to a wide range of customers, including supporters, staff and volunteers.

About the Supporter Services team:

• The Supporter Services team is part of the Cats Protection Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
• We answer queries from supporters about memberships, sponsorships, lotteries, raffles and donations. We also record and update the contact preferences of our supporters to ensure we only send communications which are wanted.

What we’re looking for in our Income Processing Team Leader:

• Demonstrable experience of line managing staff including setting objectives, managing performance, conduct, staff development, induction and training in line with organisational policies
• Experience of working in an income processing role, preferably within a fundraising environment
• Experience of developing, monitoring and maintaining recording systems and procedures
• IT literate – proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases (preferably Care or similar)
• Knowledge of fundraising activities

Principle Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of regional donors, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term engagement. Enabling supporters to maximise their fundraising potential 

• Monitor and report on income, expenditure, and key performance indicators, including volunteer recruitment and event registrations, managing an income budget of approximately £600k PA.

• Deliver presentations and pitches to schools, community organisations, and businesses. 

• Act as “the face of BWCHC” within your region, developing and acquiring meaningful, long-term relationships

• Grow and strengthen volunteer and ambassador programmes in line with charity processes and procedures. Enhance fundraising volunteers’ skills to act on behalf of the Charity 

• Spend at least 50% of your time working within your region. Plan effectively, develop fundraising products, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent donor stewardship. 

• Maintain strong communication and collaboration across the fundraising department and hospital, balancing relationships effectively while working remotely. 

• Drive the regional fundraising strategy with energy and creativity, identifying and nurturing long-term supporter relationships to secure sustainable fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

In this role, working alongside your peer, you’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our Engagement team, with a particular focus on how we steward and grow high-value legacy relationships. You will line manage up to five individuals who deliver both stewardship and awareness activity across their regions, ensuring our supporters receive a seamless and personalised experience and our volunteers are equipped to talk about gifts in Wills.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Legacy Marketing & Administration, Philanthropy and Regional Engagement teams to ensure we take a more proactive, insight-led approach to identifying and supporting high-value pledgers. Working with your peer, you will shape the culture and direction of the team, ensuring focus, consistency and delivery across a range of key projects.

Your role

As a Senior Legacy Engagement Manager – Stewardship and Blended Giving, you will focus on:

• Inspiring and managing the team, working in partnership with the other Senior Legacy Engagement Manager, to deliver a world-class stewardship programme for legacy supporter
• Leading the development of a more structured, insight-led stewardship approach, ensuring clarity on when a personalised, relationship-led approach adds the most value
• Supporting and guiding Legacy Engagement Managers to prioritise and build relationships with supporters most likely to leave significant gifts
• Driving a more proactive approach to identifying and engaging high-value legacy supporters, moving beyond passive acquisition routes
• Playing a key role in developing our Blended Giving approach, working closely with the Philanthropy team to connect legacy and major giving opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless, supporter-centric experience that secures and grows long-term income
• Using insight and data to continuously evaluate and improve our stewardship approach, identifying opportunities to enhance supporter experience and value
• Contributing to the wider legacy strategy, helping evolve our approach to meet new opportunities and challenges

About you

As an experienced fundraising or engagement leader, you’ll be comfortable building meaningful relationships with supporters, working collaboratively across teams and inspiring others to deliver excellent stewardship.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Strong leadership experience, including managing and motivating a geographically dispersed team and driving performance
• Demonstrable experience in managing high-value relationships, including stewardship of major donors or legacy pledgers
• Experience of developing and delivering personalised engagement approaches that drive long-term value
• Proven ability to use insight and data to inform decision-making and prioritisation
• Experience of working across teams to deliver integrated approaches, ideally including exposure to both legacy and major giving
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and drive change in a complex organisation
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, practical delivery
• A valid driving licence

About the Role

Cord’s turnover is about £2.3M a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and governments, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.

In 2026, Cord is registered in the UK and has offices in five other countries and programme activities in a further seven countries.

Cord has a range of finance systems, procedures and reporting practices to meet the needs of our operations in each location. Our finance function facilitates operations across the organisation to ensure there is good financial management, effective financial control, and compliance as well as a culture of support and learning.

This role is responsible for bookkeeping for Cord’s UK operation. The organisation’s income is received directly to the UK, the UK expenditure (£700K) and the organisation’s main treasury management is within the UK. The UK Finance Officer processes the monthly payroll for the UK (11ppl) and international staff (8ppl), processes international payments and fund transfers. Fundraising Manager 

Location: Home-based, with regular travel across the Thames Valley region 

Salary: c.£38,000 per annum (pro rata if part-time) 

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer 

This role is offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week), although flexible and part-time working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

Purpose: 

Ways Into Work is seeking a proactive and relationship-focused fundraiser to lead and develop income generation across the charity. 

As the charity’s sole fundraising professional, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering a sustainable fundraising strategy, with a particular focus on developing and growing corporate partnerships and business support across the Thames Valley region.

The Outrunners are a running and movement charity based in Hackney, on a mission to empower young people through movement. Backed by an incredible crew of volunteers and partner brands like Nike and Moju, we help young people in East London to build confidence, wellbeing, health and leadership skills.

We deliver free, fun, sociable, youth‑led running and movement sessions for 8–18 year olds every week - during term time and holidays. But we’re about more than just running. Our achievements

We’re a small charity but we pack a mighty punch. Our income has grown year-on-year since we became a charity 6 years ago -  allowing us to expand our core team and move into office premises large enough to incorporate a Youth Hub. Last year we worked with over 1,150 young people through our school and communities programs, and this year we’re looking to expand our work even further!

To give you a sense of the kinds of work that we do, over the last year we have:

• Hosted a free Girls’ Festival for 100+ ethnically diverse young girls, allowing them to try running sessions, creative classes and yoga experiences in a safe and empowering environment.

• Hosted free training academies for ethnically diverse women and young people aged 16-21 to train for their very first half or full marathons! We offered physical, emotional and logistical support throughout their training journey and cheered on every single one of them as they ran either the Hackney Half or the London Marathon under the Outrunners name. Since programme launch, we have worked with over 250 people in our Academies.

• Took diverse groups of young people to races and events, such as Hackney School run and Black to the Trails. 

• Offered personalised mentoring to several of our young people who were struggling with school or life.

• Expanded the career horizons of young people by offering them a free work experience opportunity with our partner brands.

 

What do we want?

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser for a strategic and hands-on role who loves working in a small, ambitious charity and wants to help shape the next stage of growth at The Outrunners (current annual income circa £350k).

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead on income generation, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations, while growing a more diverse and sustainable income mix through corporate partnerships, community fundraising and individual giving.

You will translate the lived experiences, energy and impact of our young people and programmes into compelling funding propositions. Key Responsibilities:

1. Fundraising Strategy & Income Growth (with Chief Executive)

• Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy aligned with The Outrunners’ strategic goals and values.

• Grow and diversify income streams, with a focus on increasing unrestricted and sustainable income.

• Create and manage an annual fundraising workplan to deliver agreed income targets.

• Work closely with the Chief Executive on pipeline management, forecasting and income planning.

2. Trusts & Foundations (Primary Income Lead)

• Lead and manage a pipeline of trust and foundation applications, from prospect research to reporting.

• Research, cultivate and secure grants aligned to The Outrunners’ youth‑led movement work.

• Write high‑quality, compelling funding applications and reports.

• Work closely with youth programme staff to gather outcomes, case studies and impact data.

• Build strong, professional relationships with funders through excellent stewardship.

• Develop approaches that encourage funder renewal, uplift and long‑term support.

3. Corporate Partnerships (Growth area)

• Support the development of relationships with values‑aligned corporate partners and brands.

• Identify opportunities for corporate grants, sponsorship, employee fundraising, volunteering and matched funding.

• Shape clear and inspiring partnership pitches with cases for support that connect partner goals with youth wellbeing, movement and equity.

• Work with colleagues to ensure corporate partnerships are meaningful, well‑supported and mutually beneficial.

4. Community & Individual Giving (Growth area)

• Support the growth of The Outrunners’ individual giving base, including regular and mid‑level donors, working with CEO and Admin Lead.

• Develop donor stewardship approaches that support repeat and long‑term giving.

• Explore opportunities with local communities, supporter networks and high‑net‑worth individuals.

5. Impact, Systems & Compliance

• Work with our Admin Lead to maintain accurate records across fundraising and income tracking systems (CRM).

• Contribute fundraising content across our website, donor platforms and communications channels, working closely with Marketing & Comms.

• Support the creation of impact reports and case studies that reflect young people’s lived experience ethically and sensitively.

• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulation and best practice.

• Stay informed about sector trends and test new tools or approaches appropriate for a small charity.
