The purpose of this role is to develop incredible relationships with new and existing fundraising supporters within your region helping them to network, influence and fundraise to have a significant impact on the work of the charity. Through your network and creating new opportunities you will increase income in your region across multiple income streams including Education, Individuals, In Memory Supporters and Community Organisations.

To be successful in this role you will: 

• Have previous experience in income generation – leading and inspiring networks in order to generate long term income and partnerships

Principle Responsibilities  

• Proactively recruit high-calibre supporters, volunteers, and community groups, inspiring and leading these networks to generate sustainable income

• Manage a portfolio of regional donors, ensuring excellent stewardship and long-term engagement. Enabling supporters to maximise their fundraising potential 

• Monitor and report on income, expenditure, and key performance indicators, including volunteer recruitment and event registrations, managing an income budget of approximately £600k PA.

• Deliver presentations and pitches to schools, community organisations, and businesses. 

• Act as “the face of BWCHC” within your region, developing and acquiring meaningful, long-term relationships

• Grow and strengthen volunteer and ambassador programmes in line with charity processes and procedures. Enhance fundraising volunteers’ skills to act on behalf of the Charity 

• Spend at least 50% of your time working within your region. Plan effectively, develop fundraising products, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent donor stewardship. 

• Maintain strong communication and collaboration across the fundraising department and hospital, balancing relationships effectively while working remotely. 

• Drive the regional fundraising strategy with energy and creativity, identifying and nurturing long-term supporter relationships to secure sustainable fundraising and volunteering opportunities.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive Engagement and Communications Officer with experience supporting multi-channel activity across an organisation. You’ll bring creativity, insight and strong delivery skills to help plan and produce marketing and communications that engage key audiences and support our central services and wider teams.

Working with the Marketing Manager, you’ll help deliver agreed marketing plans and day-to-day communications activity. Place2Be is looking for a Digital Content Officer to oversee the content across all our websites and work directly with teams to review, update and develop their content. You will support the Senior Digital Manager in maintaining our digital presence and work closely with the rest of the Communications and Marketing Team on key projects and events to ensure our websites are in line with our brand identity and tone of voice. You will review pages and sections regularly and use our analytics and data tools to optimise our pages for AI and search engines and ensure a quality user experience.

Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

This new role is an integral part of the day-to-day delivery of our Advice and Support Service. The service is targeted at older people in or facing financial hardship, and provides information, advice and follow up support relating to a range of issues, including Welfare Benefits, Social Care and Housing. 

As an Adviser (Scottish Housing, Social Care and Welfare Benefits) you will be responsible for providing specialist support to older people, their families and carers through our advice service with their enquiries relating to housing and welfare benefits in Scotland as well as providing generalist level support on a range of issues through our duty service.

You should have in depth, specialist level knowledge of Housing or Welfare Benefits in Scotland (ideally both) as they relate to older people, and experience working within a high-volume advice setting and advice supervision framework. We plan to expand our advice offer in Scotland to cover Social Care, so knowledge in this area would also be beneficial. You should be able to travel within Scotland, including to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities

Manage the DUK project portfolio

• Become a subject matter expert in applied and translational research in DMD, allowing informed decision making and effective communication with key stakeholders
• Support identification of new project and collaborative opportunities, including the ongoing management and delivery of our applicant-led funding call
• Support the Director of Research and Development in project scientific review, working with the Scientific Advisory Board, Patient Advisory Board, Senior Leadership Team and DUK Board of Trustees
• Manage project development and initiation, including contracting, the development of detailed project plans, including go/no-go milestones, and budgets
• Manage and oversee project delivery, including monitoring of progress, according to agreed timelines and deliverables (including written updates and formal reports), and managing project finances, including reviewing and approval of invoices and monitoring project expenditure
• Support research budget forecasting in liaison with the finance team and the Director of Research and Development, and ensure compliance across the project portfolio
• Build and manage relationships with external partners and maintain regular communication through the project life cycle
• Support the Director of Research and Development to identify areas of strategic focus to inform the development of new research programmes
• Contribute to and support the development of DUK led research proposals for external funding and work with the income generation team to identify opportunities for research funding

Research governance and processes

• Maintain and improve, as relevant, internal processes for research management and governance
• Act as system owner for the research functions within DUK’s CRM (Salesforce), maintaining records and driving process improvements for grant workflows and monitoring
• Support the Director of Research and Development in research governance activities
• Support the Director of Research and Development to ensure compliance with the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) requirements, such as - contributing to annual data collection and surveys; implementation of AMRC processes and reviews recommendations, as relevant; keep up to date with relevant news and opportunities for training, collaboration and networking

Support the Director of Research and Development on the following external engagement activities

• Development and implementation of outreach and engagement activities in the DMD patient and research community to inform areas for research focus and prioritisation
• Scoping and development of formal and informal strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholder organisations (e.g. membership societies, other charities, consortia etc)

Support delivery of DUK flagship strategic programmes

DUK has strategic programmes in clinical research access and capacity, care standards and care access, assistive technologies and patient data. Under the oversight of the Director of Research and Development and working closely with the relevant programme team:

• Coordinate key programme updates and discussions between the DUK team and the programme teams
• Working with DUK comms team, support the development of external comms and marketing
• Working with the Director of Research and Development and the programme teams, support development of new initiatives and external funding opportunities

Other key responsibilities

• Provide general research admin support (e.g. arrange research meetings, both internal and external, prepare agendas and take minutes)
• Work with DUK comms team to identify case studies and success stories and support the development of the research comms strategy
• Coordinate research comms and work with the Director of Research and Development and comms team to ensure all research content is accurate and appropriate
• Work with the income generation and comms teams to provide updates to our key co-funding partners
• Support the collection of portfolio data across all programmes for DUK KPIs and to support DUK impact report development
• Coordinate and deliver research led events and support the Director of Research and Development in the agenda and content development for the annual Duchenne UK New Horizons conference
• Travel across the UK to attend meetings with partners

Creating meaningful and personal connections with those who choose to support us with a gift in their Will is what can set us apart from others.

In this role, working alongside your peer, you’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our Engagement team, with a particular focus on how we steward and grow high-value legacy relationships. You will line manage up to five individuals who deliver both stewardship and awareness activity across their regions, ensuring our supporters receive a seamless and personalised experience and our volunteers are equipped to talk about gifts in Wills.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Legacy Marketing & Administration, Philanthropy and Regional Engagement teams to ensure we take a more proactive, insight-led approach to identifying and supporting high-value pledgers. Working with your peer, you will shape the culture and direction of the team, ensuring focus, consistency and delivery across a range of key projects.

Your role

As a Senior Legacy Engagement Manager – Stewardship and Blended Giving, you will focus on:

• Inspiring and managing the team, working in partnership with the other Senior Legacy Engagement Manager, to deliver a world-class stewardship programme for legacy supporter
• Leading the development of a more structured, insight-led stewardship approach, ensuring clarity on when a personalised, relationship-led approach adds the most value
• Supporting and guiding Legacy Engagement Managers to prioritise and build relationships with supporters most likely to leave significant gifts
• Driving a more proactive approach to identifying and engaging high-value legacy supporters, moving beyond passive acquisition routes
• Playing a key role in developing our Blended Giving approach, working closely with the Philanthropy team to connect legacy and major giving opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless, supporter-centric experience that secures and grows long-term income
• Using insight and data to continuously evaluate and improve our stewardship approach, identifying opportunities to enhance supporter experience and value
• Contributing to the wider legacy strategy, helping evolve our approach to meet new opportunities and challenges

About you

As an experienced fundraising or engagement leader, you’ll be comfortable building meaningful relationships with supporters, working collaboratively across teams and inspiring others to deliver excellent stewardship.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Strong leadership experience, including managing and motivating a geographically dispersed team and driving performance
• Demonstrable experience in managing high-value relationships, including stewardship of major donors or legacy pledgers
• Experience of developing and delivering personalised engagement approaches that drive long-term value
• Proven ability to use insight and data to inform decision-making and prioritisation
• Experience of working across teams to deliver integrated approaches, ideally including exposure to both legacy and major giving
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and drive change in a complex organisation
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, practical delivery

We’re looking for an experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our small, ambitious team and help secure the funding that makes our work possible.

Our Philanthropy team builds meaningful relationships with supporters, particularly charitable trusts and foundations, to secure a significant proportion of Future Frontiers’ income. We have a strong case for support, a track record of securing trusts and foundations funding, and an exciting pipeline of opportunities. We’re now looking to build on this success as we continue to grow our philanthropy income. 

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify prospective funders, manage relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, and craft compelling funding proposals and reports that bring our impact to life. 

This role requires exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to communicate information clearly, accurately and persuasively. You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive and confident managing multiple deadlines, while producing consistently high-quality work.

We’re looking for someone with strong trusts and foundations fundraising experience who can combine outstanding written communication with excellent relationship-building skills.

Your responsibilities:

Write funding applications and reports 

You’ll lead on developing high-quality funding applications, reports and proposals for charitable trusts and foundations that make a compelling case for support and bring our impact to life.

This will include translating complex programme and impact information into clear, engaging and persuasive written communications tailored to each funder’s interests and priorities.

Exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. You’ll ensure all applications and reports are accurate, well-structured, tailored and submitted to a consistently high standard.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation to gather information, outcomes and stories that reflect the impact of our programmes.

Manage relationships with trusts and foundations

You’ll help build and manage strong relationships with charitable trusts and foundations through thoughtful stewardship, high-quality communications and proactive engagement.

With support from the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll identify opportunities to secure renewed and increased support, helping grow long-term partnerships with funders.

You’ll also act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, creating opportunities for supporters to engage more deeply with our work.

Identify new funding opportunities 

You’ll proactively identify charitable trusts and foundations with the potential to support Future Frontiers. Through research and collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help build a strong pipeline of prospective funders and develop tailored approaches for engagement.

Gather case studies and impact stories

You’ll help collect pupil case studies and testimonials that bring the impact of our programmes to life.

This may include attending programme sessions, speaking directly with young people and helping them feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Strong communication skills, sensitivity and the ability to build rapport with young people will therefore be important in this role.

Support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities

You’ll work with colleagues across the organisation to support wider voluntary income and engagement opportunities where appropriate. This could include supporter engagement activity, charitable giving from businesses and other opportunities that help grow Future Frontiers’ network and income.

Keep accurate and detailed records 

You’ll ensure all philanthropy activity is recorded promptly and accurately, helping us manage relationships, reporting deadlines and fundraising activity effectively. You’ll support the team’s efficiency by keeping organised records and helping manage key administrative processes.

You’ll also ensure we meet data protection and fundraising regulations, including GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.

Contribute to wider organisational priorities 

You’ll be a collaborative team member, supporting cross-team projects and organisation-wide initiatives as needed. From time to time, you may also be asked to take on other duties in line with your role.

About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Communications Lead to join Working Well Trust. This is a 35-hour per week role, Monday to Friday, based at our Bethnal Green office with travel to other offices and boroughs when required. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days on site per week. Occasional evening work may be required.

This role will lead and deliver Working Well Trust’s communications activity across digital, print and internal channels, ensuring that our content is engaging, accessible, timely and aligned with organisational aims, service requirements and brand standards. The postholder will also support contract mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and effective internal communication across the organisation.

We are looking for someone with strong communications, digital content, copywriting and design skills, who can bring creativity, structure and initiative to a growing mental health and employment charity. You will work closely with the CEO, Operations Director, HR Advisor, service teams, clients and external stakeholders to ensure our communications reflect our values, services and impact.

Experience of working in the voluntary sector, mental health, employment support, disability or neurodiversity would be beneficial, but above all, we are looking for someone who is committed to Working Well Trust’s aims and able to communicate our work clearly, sensitively and creatively.

What you’ll be doing

• You will plan, write and schedule engaging content across Working Well Trust’s social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, ensuring posts are timely, accessible and aligned with our organisational aims and, where appropriate, the funding requirements of individual services.
• You will update and maintain the Working Well Trust website using WordPress, ensuring content is accurate, current and accessible. You will also liaise with our website developer to resolve faults and support structural changes when required.
• You will create marketing and promotional materials in line with Working Well Trust brand guidelines, including leaflets, flyers, posters, banners, presentations, infographics and impact statements. You will work with teams and clients to develop content that promotes our services, supports referrals and reflects the communities we work with.
• You will lead on co-production activities and events where appropriate, supporting clients and teams to contribute meaningfully to communications and promotional materials.
• You will support staff with case studies and service stories, providing guidance on content, editing and refining material so that it is suitable for Working Well Trust communications.
• You will create a monthly internal newsletter for staff and support the development of an external newsletter, with the purpose and target audience to be agreed.
• You will maintain communications schedules and distribution lists to support targeted communication with staff, clients, employers, funders, referral partners and other stakeholders.
• You will work alongside the CEO and Operations Director to draft and implement communications plans to support the mobilisation of new services, including liaising with contract leads and funders where appropriate.
• You will also support events, internal meetings, audits, reporting and general communications activity as required.

• Proficient skills and experience in using social media for organisational and event promotion, including platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
• Experience of using social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite or Buffer, including paid-for posts.
• Experience of using analytics and insight tools to improve reach and engagement across digital platforms.
• Experience of using WordPress or a similar content management system to create, edit and maintain webpages.
• Proficient graphic design skills and experience using Canva or similar design platforms.
• Excellent written communication skills, including copywriting, creative storytelling and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to present information clearly, engagingly and accessibly for different audiences.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with staff, clients, external partners and supporters.
• Strong organisation skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage conflicting demands and deadlines.
• Confidence working independently and collaboratively within a small team.

We are looking for people with great energy and motivation to join our Short Breaks service which offers a chance for young people with an additional support needs or disability to have fun and take a break from daily routines, and helps families to enjoy quality time, local activities, and connections with others.

Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants with a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

About the Role

Cord’s turnover is about £2.3M a year. About 85% of Cord’s funding is restricted, coming from institutional donors like the EU and governments, and 15% (about £300K) is unrestricted coming from a committed UK supporter base and other private fundraising streams.

In 2026, Cord is registered in the UK and has offices in five other countries and programme activities in a further seven countries.

Cord has a range of finance systems, procedures and reporting practices to meet the needs of our operations in each location. Our finance function facilitates operations across the organisation to ensure there is good financial management, effective financial control, and compliance as well as a culture of support and learning.

This role is responsible for bookkeeping for Cord’s UK operation. The organisation’s income is received directly to the UK, the UK expenditure (£700K) and the organisation’s main treasury management is within the UK. The UK Finance Officer processes the monthly payroll for the UK (11ppl) and international staff (8ppl), processes international payments and fund transfers. The role also supports to the Finance Manager to implement the Finance Workplan and it produces a range of reports that support the effective financial management of the organisation. 

This role would suit someone with experience of working in finance within a charity, who is motivated by the work that Cord does and is interested in undertaking a long-term role. You will need an organised approach to your work, with the ability to diligently complete routine functions independently, whilst also being sufficiently flexible and able to respond to immediate tasks as they arise. You will have a drive for continual improvement of the organisation’s systems and processes, with a view improve efficiency and adapt to changing technological developments and compliance regulations.
