Job Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working with a leading organisation as they search for a Senior Communications Officer, to support their team for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you'll spearhead media advocacy efforts and craft communication strategies aimed at driving positive change. Utilising social media platforms, you'll engage with stakeholders and amplify impactful narratives. You'll also collaborate with our public involvement team to amplify stories. Your contributions will directly contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of our target audience globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute innovative communication campaigns in collaboration with marketing, policy, and public affairs teams, focusing on key priorities.
- Foster strong media relationships and oversee our press office to promote coverage of our initiatives and relevant issues.
- Drive proactive external communications, producing compelling content for various audiences, such as statements, press releases, and blogs.
- Develop engaging content for social media and websites, including multimedia elements like videos, podcasts, and webinars.
- Cultivate partnerships with NHS entities and women's health organisations to leverage collaborative communication opportunities.
- Manage core communication and media processes, including planning tools, activity logs, and evaluation reports.
Person Specification:
- Proven track record in developing and executing creative integrated communication campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a press office and cultivate relationships with journalists.
- Deep understanding of digital engagement strategies and platforms.
- Exceptional writing skills and experience in crafting compelling content.
- Confidence in building partnerships and advising senior leadership.
- Previous experience in managing media issues.

I am excited to be working with an amazing health organisation in search of an Interim Services and Innovation Project Manager for 3 – 6 months. Full-time or part-time (4 days a week) will be considered for this Bristol based hybrid role.
As Project Manager your role will be to support the delivery of a number of key organisation activities and objectives. Around 50% of time will be focused on proposition development with the remaining time on delegated tasks to support the Acting Director across other areas of their responsibility and the organisations suite of support services.
Key role and responsibilities:
Project Manager - a series of innovation sprints, aiming to develop new (support service focussed) fundable propositions for the organisation. Keeping the project on track, to deadline, meeting key deliverables.
Senior Administrator - including scheduling and diary management, project management tools, monitoring and systems.
Researcher – able to confidently conduct desk-based research, sector scoping, research with internal and external stakeholders.
Data and Reporting - collation, data analysis, setting up surveys and using a variety of tools to analyse and present data in an engaging way visually.
Highly digitally and IT confident – especially ppt and visual tool suites like canva, excel.
Report Writer - notes of meetings, discussions, summarising actions and tracking them.
Other varied tasks - related to our support and information service provision e.g. delegation of tasks related to two restricted funded projects, cross team activity like away days and meetings, general administration (like meeting set up/ organising/ research).

The role
Our services are growing. We are looking for locally based sessional facilitators to support the delivery of our Moving Forward courses across the UK. Our Moving Forward courses are for anyone with a primary breast cancer diagnosis who has finished their hospital-based treatment. Courses are a combination of face to face and online support and are delivered in partnership with local NHS Trusts/Boards. The number of courses can vary across locations but will typically be between 2 - 4 courses a year.
This is offered as a contract for services position and as such the appointed contractor would not be an employee of Breast Cancer Now but a self-employed individual. We require all contractors to adhere to and follow Breast Cancer Now applicable policies and procedures and to undertake some mandatory training in core subjects such as data protection and cyber security. A satisfactory criminal record check will be required.
About you
You will be based locally to one of the available locations with a strong background in group facilitation and course delivery. You will also have excellent organisation and time-management skills, superb oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask. You will work independently across a geographical area, supported by the regional services team and our local volunteers.
You will be required to have access to your own IT equipment.

Pay: We offer flat fees for work undertaken delivering our services as listed below:
· £25 per hour when facilitating a course (course duration will vary depending on location).
· Additional fees for attending training and update meetings. We do not pay for travel time, unless asked to travel outside of geographical area.

Customer Services & Administration Manager

I'm recruiting for a leading health related charity. They require a Customer Services & Administration Manager to join them on a temporary basis starting ASAP, this role will run for a few months, and ideally the temp will be considered for a more permanent position in the charity. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, requiring you to be in the London office a few days per week to ensure the smooth running of the office and to manage the team of direct reports. If you prefer, you can work remotely the rest of the week. This is a busy, and varied role, the bulk of the role is managing the supporter care function, managing the efficiency of processing income, coupled with people management and office management.
The Customer Services and Administration Manager will ensure that the team functions efficiently and effectively to deliver an excellent customer care service. The team respond to Gift Aid questions and queries, and process credit and debit card donations made via the supporters, both online and by phone. You will support the maintenance of the charity's BACS and direct debit system and producing direct debit claims in line with BACS rules and regulations.
You will conduct weekly 1-2-1's with your several direct reports, and attend any important meetings required. Other duties include ensuring the office and processing runs smoothly, managing the staff rota system, financial administration, dealing with any complaints and ensuring supporters are receiving the highest level of customer care.
The successful postholder will bring experience of managing a customer services/ supporter care team, where they have strong knowledge and experience around processing, thanking supporters, BACS direct debit claiming process, and Gift Aid regulations, as well as line management experience.
