About the role
Post: Social Worker (29 hours)
Location: Hybrid - Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh
Salary: £38,072 (FTE)
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to provide support to children and young people diagnosed with cancer and their families. The role is permanent, 29 hours per week.
Our work is rewarding but also complex and demanding; you will need to be resourceful and resilient. You will work closely within our supportive Young Lives vs Cancer team, an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and with services in the community.
Young Lives vs Cancer is open to and in support of flexible working. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at the interview stage with you.
This role falls under the hybrid-variable category. Your contractual base will be both Home and The Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh. You will have the opportunity to work remotely / from home within the parameters of our hybrid working arrangements, but the majority of hours will be at the hospital base.
This role is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. In the event of a successful application, a Disclosure report will be sought.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in the region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in Worcestershire. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well organised individual to join us in delivering a comprehensive Stroke Recovery Service across the region.
Position: S11158 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Worcestershire, however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week
Salary: Circa £17,546 per annum (FTE circa £25,500 per annum)
Contract: This is a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2025. Our services are contracted, we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2025.

The Role
Reporting to the Stroke Association Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their carers
· Providing personalised information, advice and support to address any needs identified
· Completing Needs Assessments with stroke survivors and supporting them to develop a stroke recovery plan
· Providing regular reviews to support people in establishing and achieving their own personal goals.

About You
You will:
· Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities
· Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
· Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs
· Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, innovative team player to join our Young People and Families Service in Scotland. This role will be based in Scotland, ideally close to Glasgow but will support service delivery across Scotland and the UK.
As a Young People and Families Worker you will work with colleagues, partners, healthcare professionals, schools, volunteers, families and – most importantly – young people to co-plan, deliver and evaluate a high quality, holistic support offer locally and nationally.
You will help young people living with arthritis to build their confidence, make friends and achieve their personal goals. This will be achieved by providing one-to-one support, creating peer networks and working with volunteers to co-deliver self-management activities on a variety of topics from sleep management to self-advocacy.
You’ll also co-design an exciting programme of social events, youth voice opportunities, digital content and residential events. You will support young people during the pivotal transition from paediatric to adult services and life, making sure it is a time of empowerment and growth.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.
You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.
You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.
We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.
