As the Administration and Liaison Officer you will be the primary point of contact and the face of the Rugby foodbank for all stakeholders. You will need to have excellent administration and communication skills as you will be our contact point for volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies, food and financial donors. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, you will guide the development of the foodbank project including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body.
Your key skills will be effective communication and the ability to work with all types of people from every kind of background. You will engage with volunteers, clients, Trustees and external agencies such as statutory agencies, churches, schools and businesses to maximise engagement. You will need to be a flexible team member with the ability to balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team.
Our stakeholders are primarily our volunteers, clients, voucher issuing agencies including statutory and community groups, food and financial donors from the community including churches and other faith groups, schools, other charities and businesses, our Trustees and staff.

About the role
As Shop Manager, you will be leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience, creating a vibrant, fun place to shop, work and volunteer. You will know how to manage and build Crisis’s reputation within the local community and be committed to Crisis’s values and mission to end homelessness.
You may have experience in; retail management, stock management, people management, customer service, recruitment/interviewing.

The main purpose of this role is to support 1625 to raise vital unrestricted funds and pro-bono support, so the charity is able to deliver life changing projects to young people across the Southwest.
You will be pro-actively building relationships with businesses, individuals and community groups around Bristol and the surrounding areas. You will co-ordinate and attend fundraising events and ensure that young people are at the centre of all of our fundraising efforts. We also have two regular team office days per week.
You will be leading on our biggest fundraiser of the year, Sleep Out. Through this and other events, and guided by our fundraising strategy, you will develop new and existing relationships. These relationships will help raise vital funds and also secure valuable pro-bono and volunteering support.
You will be comfortable managing a varying workload and working with a wide range of people both internally and externally. By meeting people in person and attending events throughout the year, you will build support and champion the work that we do.
You will be detail orientated in your delivery and be driven to produce high quality events and fundraising communications.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager leads a team of 3.9FTEs working on policy, research, public affairs and public campaigning. Everyone in Shelter Cymru is in the business of preventing homelessness, and you will be doing this by overseeing the policy and campaigning process to help us deliver positive change that makes an impact on the lives of the people we serve. The post’s location is flexible. The Campaigns team has adopted a hybrid working pattern, being based part of the week in one of Shelter Cymru’s offices around Wales.
