About the role:
This is a maternity cover opportunity for a valued role in our Senior Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Build a strategy for attracting high performing talent into Resurgo and our partner Spear centres, in line with our goals for national growth and ensuring our teams reflect the communities they serve.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process across Resurgo and our partner Spear centres (with support from the HR Executive), working with the D&I Manager to train team members on interview skills, and advising and guiding Department Heads through the recruitment process

Introduction to role
We are seeking a Venue & Buildings Manager to help provide effective stewardship and management of our wonderful and busy Grade II* listed church building and room hire business.
Inspire Saint James Clerkenwell is a Church of England church with two services (11am and 4pm) and a congregation of around 200 adults and 80 children. The congregation is vibrant and diverse and passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus.
A large proportion of the church’s income is generated by hiring out the crypt, church and accompanying spaces to external clients. Our ability to rent out these spaces supports the church’s broader mission and helps maintain the building for future generations. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the building and the room hire business and see that the work they do supports and facilitates the ministry of the church. They will ensure that the resources we have are best utilised and that health and safety and legal obligations are fulfilled in relation to the building. Job Responsibilities
The General Manager is integral to the management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious programmes. The General Manager works closely with the Director and Board of Trustees as part of a small and supportive team to contribute actively and creatively to the development of the organisation, as well as overseeing daily and organisational operations. The General Manager supervises office management, communications, administration, financial management, staffing, programme delivery logistics, reporting and evaluation; and works collaboratively with the Director on strategic and financial development, including embedded environmental sustainability. In addition to the above, the General Manager will lead on developing and dynamically integrating Deptford X's access and care agenda.

The Head of Direct Work (HoDW) will work closely with our Volunteer Coordinator (VC) to build capacity and increase impact in our Direct Work Team. The HoDW will oversee our Direct Work team and in addition to managing referrals and supporting the smooth running of our casework, they will implement the following new interventions:
1) Ensuring that SWWB can provide expert evidence and collaborate on strategic litigation, particularly where it aligns with our research and campaigning work.
2) As one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads, they will be responsible for embedding an anti-racist, radical approach to safeguarding whilst maintaining our robust response to people’s safety and wellbeing.
3) Alongside our VC, they will develop and deliver training to our national network of volunteer social workers and social work students.
4) Ensure SWWB is able to offer placements for internationally qualified social workers who need to complete a ‘period of adaptation’ so as their qualification is recognised by the social work regulator (Social Work England).

The role of Data and Systems Manager is a new one, and reflects the growth and diversification of how we reach our audience and offer them support. To do that, we know we need to make best use of our data and systems to make informed decisions and offer the right support at the right time.

Rugby foodbank's Engagement Officer will oversee the smooth running and operation of the foodbank, with concern for its operational efficiency and standards in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, guide the development of the foodbank project, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. The Engagement Officer will have a key role in the delivery and development of Rugby foodbank and the growth of its services. They will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, food and financial donors, partner referral agencies plus community and business groups. The right candidate will be an effective communicator who will work hard to create a positive environment for volunteers, clients, agencies and donors maximising opportunities for engagement.
At Hope4 we believe that everyone has the right to have a place to call ‘home’, somewhere that is safe, secure and sustainable, and enough food even when in a crisis. In order to achieve these aims we run the Hope Centre and Rugby foodbank which is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. Hope4 is the overarching charity name overseeing all operations of the Hope Centre and Rugby Foodbank.
As a charity, our clients are at the heart of what we do. Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 7500 foodbank food parcels. Our staff and volunteers are crucial to making this happen. We currently employ 8 members of staff and have 80+ people regular volunteers.
The charity was founded by the churches across the town and continues to hold to Christian principles working to address poverty, primarily homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. The churches, as the Revive network, support the work we do both with funding and providing many of our volunteers. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background.
We are looking for someone who can work as a flexible team member and with the ability to share and balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. Your key skill will be the ability to work with all types so people from every kind of background because you will be engaging with volunteers, clients, trustees and external agencies such as churches, schools and businesses.
