The Position:
Our outstanding charity client is recruiting an Interim Head of Fundraising (Election). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading and managing their fundraising initiatives, helping them to build strong foundations for the future, liaising high-profile donors, and maximising on the increased profile and visibility they will have during this election year.
You will be a key member of the management team and will work closely with teams across the organisation and their high-profile, experienced board to shape organisational ambition and exceptional fundraising practice.
You will also lead an ambitious multi-disciplinary team of fundraisers across all income areas.
Requirements:
- Significant experience of fundraising gained at a senior level, with a proven track record of securing and grant managing six-figure+, multi-year funding from charitable trusts, companies and/or individuals.
- Confident in managing key donor relationships.
- Comfortable directing and supporting senior staff to engage in fundraising.
- Good knowledge of and networks in the UK fundraising space, including working with major donors, charitable trusts and individual giving.
- Experience of working with donor CRM systems to support high quality relationship management, preferably Salesforce.

ROLE DETAILS
Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals.

Young Roots is a London-based charity working with young refugees and asylum seekers aged 11-25, most of whom are alone in the UK without their families.
Support provided includes intensive one-to-one Casework, youth and sporting activities, English language mentoring and access to specialist therapeutic and legal advice.

Ideal skills and experience:
- Previous success of developing a fundraising strategy in the charity sector to achieve growth targets across multiple income streams and particularly trusts and foundations, individual giving and corporates.
- Significant experience in a senior fundraising role, with a strong background in trusts and foundations and digital fundraising strategies and campaigns and experience of successfully managing a large number of restricted grants.
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of the interface between communication and influencing and communication and fundraising and a data-driven approach to shaping how we engage different audiences to create mutual value across fundraising and influencing objectives.
- Experience of successfully building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, particularly with trusts and foundations and corporates.

Job purpose
This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial sustainability and integrity of LGT, developing resilient foundations for our front-line services, community development, policy and campaigns work to grow in scale and impact.
Working closely with the CEO, Project and Team Leads, you’ll lead all aspects of financial management from budgeting, accounting and compliance, financial management of grants, to reporting to the Finance Committee to support the Board of Trustees and leadership with financial planning and decision making. Finance is the core of the role, however you’ll also use your data management and organisation skills to help us maintain and develop our workflow and data management systems and processes, and oversee other core operational functions delivered by our Business Operations Administrator.

As the Digital Campaign Manager you will use your skills to build and lead projects and creative digital-first campaigns to support Syria’s heroic civil society. You will be responsible for delivering campaigns that advance The Syria Campaign’s goals and mission, working with allies and partners to elevate their voices and demands to a global audience. You will get to work with our incredible supporters and encourage others to act by employing the full suite of digital campaigning tactics to bring about real change.
You will be responsible for creating impactful online campaign actions from petitions to “email your MP” moments, running an email programme to engage our large online supporter base (from idea generation to writing, delivery and analysis), producing creative social media campaigns, and responding to real world events. You will reach new supporters and key audiences through growth-oriented digital campaigns.
This is a full-time position that reports to the Campaign Director. The job is remote and can be done anywhere from European or Middle Eastern time zones.
The Syria Campaign
The Syria Campaign is a small, fast moving, and powerful human rights organisation that is building new ways for digital and creative communications to have impact. We work to support Syria’s heroes in the struggle for freedom and democracy, partnering with civil society actors inside and outside the country. We’ve moved beyond the limitations of an “online movement builder” or traditional NGO, fusing the best elements of think tanks, creative agencies, and digital mobilisation to shift the narrative on Syria.
Thirteen years since the Syrian people took to the streets to demand freedom and democracy, there are still millions of civilians at risk of military attack, over 100,000 people remain illegally detained and disappeared, and there has been nearly no accountability for the victims and survivors of war crimes. The Syria Campaign works to keep Syria in the international spotlight to increase the cost of attacks on civilians, help build the power of civil society, advocate for a vision of real peace and justice, and build international solidarity with the Syrian people.
We’ve raised the profile of Syrian groups such as the White Helmets rescue workers, helping secure them millions of dollars to continue their life-saving work and making them famous around the world. We’ve supported the Families for Freedom, a women-led movement of the families of the disappeared in Syria, to ensure their demands are heard. We work with dozens of partners across Syria who trust us deeply. Syria is full of heroes and we’re privileged enough to work with them. After 13 years of conflict and crisis in Syria, we have to fight hard to make sure the issues that matter to us and our partners get the focus and support they need. We refuse to let Syria disappear from the attention of the world, and we will work until we see justice served. The Digital Campaign Manager will play a key role as The Syria Campaign develops new strategies and approaches to achieve our goals.
What you’ll be responsible for
Developing and leading far-reaching digital campaigns with our Syrian partners to make their demands heard on the international stage, that capitalise on reactive campaign moments. You will be campaigning for freedom and justice for Syria’s disappeared, for the protection of civilians and humanitarian workers from the bombs, and for support for educators, media activists and other heroic civil society actors on the ground in Syria.
Creating high-quality digital campaign content. You will work closely with our small and talented campaign team to write amazing copy across a range of campaign materials, including through supporter emails, advocacy briefs, blogs, and microsites. You will lead on digital advocacy opportunities to mobilise our supporters to take action in solidarity with the demands of our Syrian partners through petitions, fundraisers and other actions. Working closely with the media team you will push forwards creative visuals for social media including graphics, videos and commentary, including commissioning and managing creatives.
Leading our campaign email programme. You will manage our supporter email programme in collaboration with designers and developers. This includes devising and drafting regular multilingual campaign emails to keep our large supporter base engaged, testing out best practices to grow and maintain those who support us, and analysing our success. You will also build action pages, run fundraisers for our Syrian partners, and manage Facebook ads.
Organising and coordinating events and actions, amplified online. You will manage events and actions that influence politicians and decision makers to meet the demands of our Syrian civil society partners – making sure they have maximum impact and reach our global audience.

The job is remote and can be done anywhere in Middle Eastern or European time zones. We have full staff retreats every year to keep us connected.

New Routes Integration
Since 2003 New Routes has been working with, and supporting, refugees, asylum seekers and isolated migrants in Norwich to support their wellbeing and ambitions by providing skill-building and social programmes in a safe and welcoming environment. We promote cross-cultural integration and community awareness, working with individuals and families from over 60 countries of origin. We work closely with an extensive network of partner organisations, both third-sector and statutory. New Routes is one-third of the Norwich Integration Partnership (NIP), alongside English+ and the Bridge Plus+.
Principle purpose of the post:
The Operations Manager will work closely with the Chief Executive supporting on contractual service delivery (including the management of risk), quality and improvement across the organisation and ensure quality services are provided. This will be informed and implemented by ensuring that our participants have appropriate methods to inform programme delivery routinely.
The Operations Manager will support the Chief Executive in leading and monitoromg service and organisational quality, financial/income activity and expenditure, adherence to policies and procedures, and overall compliance with health and safety activity through a range of measures, including the use of reports and data to make critical and informed assessments.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising Strategy in order to diversify our funding streams enabling New Routes to develop exceptional services that meet our participants existing and emerging needs.
In conjunction with the Chief Executive, the Operations Manager will hold responsibility for ensuring all staff are effectively supported to undertake their roles, and will administer formal HR policies and procedures when standards fall below expectations.
The Operations Manager will provide support and deputise for the Chief Executive when required. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate a high ability to be pro-active in anticipating and managing their workload, and work without high levels of direction.

Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. Job Description
Fundraising
- Oversee all income-generation activity across Free Tibet and Tibet Watch. Ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams. Current streams include postal appeals, online appeals, and the Free Tibet online shop.
- Manage applications for grant funding on behalf of both Free Tibet and Tibet Watch, working with the Fundraising Officer to build a strong portfolio of five and six-figure grants and steward them for renewal.
- Lead on the recruitment and retention of donors, especially Major Donors, and redevelop supporter journeys and stewardship programs.
- Evaluate new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation, especially corporate and challenge events / community fundraising.
- Impact reporting of fundraising activity and the performance of quarterly appeals, with a view to improve internal processes for greater income innovation and ROI.
- Liaise with the Free Tibet Campaigns & Research Teams to ensure that campaigning, digital and fundraising activities are seamlessly coordinated.
- Managing relationships with third party agencies, like mailing services and digital mobilisation agencies, making sure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
- Ensure that our new Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, Raiser’s Edge NXT, is used effectively and to its full potential.
- Take a supporter-facing role in managing relationships with Major Donors, leading by example in securing mission-critical income.
- When needed, providing on-the-ground support for direct marketing, including copywriting and editing.
Leadership & Management
- Line manage the Fundraising Team, which currently consists of a full-time Fundraising Officer, part-time Administrative Assistant, and part-time Supporter Care & Shop Officer, nurturing their professional development and working collaboratively to produce fundraising projects.
- Act as a leader within the organisation, representing staff to the board and executive committee where appropriate.
- Work with the Finance and HR manager to monitor expenditure against budget and prepare regular reports on expenditure and projected income for the Free Tibet and Tibet Watch boards.
- Develop annual and project-specific Fundraising Strategies, reporting on appropriate indicators.
General Responsibilities
- Participating in regular team meetings.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven ability to look at the big picture of an organisation’s fundraising and prioritise what needs particular attention.
- Proven track record of delivering income across one or more of following income streams:
- Individual Giving: postal appeals, online appeals; emergency appeals; matched giving campaigns.
- Major Donor Fundraising: soliciting and stewarding donations from HNWIs; prospects research; Major Donor recruitment.
- Trusts and Foundations: soliciting and stewarding major grant
- Digital fluency with a deep understanding of how this relates to fundraising.
- Line management of other fundraisers, especially with agile working and diverse skill sets.
- Experience of overseeing the development of team members.
- Excellent knowledge of proper practice in fundraising data and compliance, especially with reference to The Code of Fundraising Practice and GDPR principles.
- Confident reporting directly to the Board of Trustees and representing staff interests.

Desirable
- Experience of working in a high intensity environment, working collaboratively and skillfully in response to fast-moving developments in global news.
