Join Dementia UK as a Gift Processing Officer helping to establish an excellent level of financial processing that will underpin the growth in fundraising activity across a range of income streams.
Working within the supporter care team you will be responsible for processing a high volume of donations. You will ensure that that all processing is accurate and timely in order to provide an excellent supporter experience for all Dementia UK donors & supporters. Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, the Gift Processing Officer will handle post, cheques, cash and charity vouchers, working carefully with our database to record income and thank all supporters who give to Dementia UK.
The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in database management, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy skills. You will have high computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. As charity manager you will need a varied skillset including being able to build and nurture relationships, manage a small team of staff, develop new income streams, create, and develop imaginative projects and use innovative technology to boost the aims and objectives of the charity.
What you would do

As a Data Officer at Myeloma UK, you will be supporting the charity as we implement a brand-new data strategy. You will ensure our data is handled with the highest care, complying with best practice in data protection, and be involved in projects covering data management, data cleaning, reporting, and analysis.

· Collaborate across the charity assessing our processing and help to manage communication preferences, data assets, including maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) log.

About the role
Dementia UK is currently seeking a Database Officer to lead on the delivery of processes within the Database Services team.
As Database officer, your primary responsibility will be managing a substantial volume of data files, from a variety of sources seamlessly importing this information into our fundraising database. You will handle supporter data ensuring a high level of accuracy, while being directly responsible for running the majority of data imports as well as handling enquires coming into the Database Services shared inbox and running regular data cleansing routines.
In addition, you will be expected to maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed. Working with the Supporter Care, Finance, and Fundraising teams to ensure income is accurately coded across all fundraising streams.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data protection guidelines including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and will bring previous experience in using databases for data entry, maintenance, and importation. A high level of computer literacy is essential, and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required. Main Purpose and Scope of the Role
This is BAU support for staff and on-site/network IT infrastructure. If successful, you will liaise closely with our external IT consultancy, for bespoke 3rd line support, regarding our core IT infrastructure (software, hardware, server and network). You will be the first point of support for your colleagues’ IT needs. You will report on and advise senior management of the IT risks and cybersecurity needs. ● Troubleshoot IT based systems, hardware, and software issues for colleagues
● Onboard/offboard employees for IT system; set up all user credentials
