The Research team lead and co-produce high quality research commissions, using our expertise in research policy, design and management. We also lead on synthesising and mobilising knowledge from our funded research and evaluation to maximise learning and impact. We are responsible for a varied portfolio and provide expert support across the Foundation, working with colleagues to scope and design research and evaluation, ensure effective contracting and establish good governance arrangements.

· Lead a large staff team across London to achieve and exceed programme performance targets and operational standards.

We are recruiting for the post of Head of Communications to play a leading role in promoting an accurate, positive, and informed view of the Arts Council, and of the activity we support.  The Head of Communications ensures that we promote our work in a single consistent voice, in a manner that is arresting, engaging and accessible.

The UK Trauma Council (UKTC) is nationwide platform bringing together expertise in research, practice, policy, and lived experience in the field of childhood trauma. We are seeking a Programme Manager to work closely with UKTC Co-Directors to coordinate and oversee the entire programme of work.

Working in the People and Culture team and reporting to the Head of People and Culture, the Senior People Partner will be responsible for leading and managing a team, within the remit of employee relations, that delivers a high quality, inclusive, problem-solving, and people-focussed HR service to all levels of management and staff. The Senior People Partner’s role is to manage, supervise and support employee relations, employee wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion initiatives, overseeing the employee life cycle. They will also advise and coach the Talent Acquisition and Volunteer team on volunteer related cases using RMG policies.  

Key responsibilities involve managing a direct caseload of complex employee relations cases, including leading on liaison with ACAS, external investigators, and legal advisors, and preparing for and attending Employment Tribunals. Further core objectives include leading the drafting of new/revisions to people policies, consultation and negotiation with relevant stakeholders, and the communication and embedding of new/revised practices across the workforce. The Senior People Partner will further build and maintain effective working relationships with the senior leadership team, acting as an expert strategic adviser on a range of employee relations matters and as a point of escalation for employee relations enquiries emerging from other teams, actively coaching, supporting, and mentoring colleagues to grow team capability and support development. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing an HR case work portfolio, which includes conducting discipline and grievance investigations, hearings and appeals, and ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunals, as well as overseeing attendance and performance management processes. Established success in coaching managers and leaders on various HR matters is essential to this role, empowering them to manage risk, resolve conflict, support their team members to excel at work, and foster cohesion and trust within a hybrid workforce. The postholder will have experience and interest in managing employee wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives; be CIPD qualified; have excellent and adaptable organisation, communication and interpersonal skills; and will enjoy working with a variety of people, with a strong ability to listen effectively.

This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 4 – Senior Management and Senior Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 per week, working 5 days between the hours of 9am-5pm, although due to the nature of the work, some flexibility may be required.

Programming & artistic relationships

• Devise and implement the artistic strategy and programme of the Philharmonia Orchestra in close consultation with the Chief Executive, Principal Conductor and Exec Team colleagues

• Act as primary liaison to the Principal Conductor and other titled artists, discussing and agreeing programmes and projects

• Engage guest conductors and soloists for all Philharmonia own-promoted performances and engagements, including fee negotiations

• Identify and lead opportunities for commissioning and co-commissioning of new works, negotiating commission fees and contracts. Liaison with publishers

• Negotiate co-promotion deals with external partners such as Serious or Southbank Centre

• Liaise with conductors and touring partners to develop programmes for foreign touring, while

  considering market and budget limitations

• Initiate and develop non-standard orchestral projects, such as film with live orchestra, cross-artform or cross-genre collaborations, and performances at non-standard venues

• Develop suitable programmes for Philharmonia Residency venues, taking both box office and logistical considerations into account

• Handle artist and conductor cancellations and identifying suitable replacements. Liaising internally with other departments over all cancellations

• Develop repertoire ideas and ensure timely registration on clash-diary, with support from Concerts Manager

• Lead on chamber music programming, including liaison with players over proposals

• Research and identify future featured artists, composers and guest conductors proactively

Internal & external communications

• Represent the artistic programming function to senior staff, promoters, agents, donors, Board members and volunteers

• Collaborate with the Learning and Engagement department to integrate the performance programme with educational projects in the planning stage, including Artist in Residence programme

• Collaborate with the Development Department on programmed-led fundraising activities

Principal liaison with Southbank Centre

• Lead on the day-to-day relationship with Southbank Centre, both in terms of strategy and date requests as principal point of contact

• Keep SBC colleagues updated on future artistic plans, specifically identifying future projects which may be of interest to Southbank Centre to collaborate on, on a co-promotion or engagement basis

Orchestra liaison

• Lead the Artistic Committee discussions re future plans, and ideas around conductors and soloists • Work with the Concerts Assistants and Data & Insight Manager to issue periodic conductor and soloist survey, using results to inform future programming
• Be in regular contact with key orchestral personnel over suitability of repertoire if rehearsal time is  severely limited

Recordings & digital

• Lead on Philharmonia Records, developing and overseeing the recordings strategy
• Identify, and plan potential own-label recording projects
• Listen to recordings to assess suitability for release, and discussing in-house recordings with Artistic Committee

The grant-making is delivered primarily through the Merchant Taylors' Foundation. Safe Evolve, Early Intervention service is a new service commissioned by the London Borough of Ealing and represent an exciting partnership with the Anna Freud. The service offers brief evidence-based individual and group interventions to address mild to moderate wellbeing needs largely using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-informed and mentalization approaches. It consists of two teams: one a specialist schools outreach service and the second a community well-being team for children and families.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Operations Lead who will ensure the smooth running of CCX day-to-day operations. As lead of the Operations Team, you will oversee the finance, HR, coordination of data, IT applications and integration, and corporate governance functions.

The Gregory Centre for Church Multiplication (CCX) helps the Church make disciples in new and renewed ways. We work with willing partners across the Church to catalyse multiplication, equipping leaders through adaptive learning pathways.

We are an agile missional centre, on the edge of the institution. Our team seeks to be audacious, holding a God-shaped ambition; generous; and committed to working together.

CCX’s organisational structure is a hybrid management model, blending elements of both functional and project-based structures. Project teams are formed to address specific initiatives, tasks, or delivery projects. These teams are cross-functional, comprising individuals from different specialties, typically with a project manager working under the direction of a CCX lead. The two core teams of Operations and Media operate as shared services across the organisation.

Under the direction of the Bishop of Islington, a suffragan bishop of the London Diocese, CCX supports church planting and church growth work in London, nationally and beyond.

Collaboration and partnership will be key features of this role, working closely with the Bishop, Chief of Staff, and Team Leads. This role has a strong focus on agile and efficient systems development and improvement, resource optimisation and stakeholder engagement.

To do this we run a corporate venturing function at SCUK backing innovation projects that will help us maximise the impact potential of existing and new resources, and increase funding directed towards Save the Children's mission. Our purpose is clear: to transform, build and champion new growth opportunities and business models, moving at pace and collaborating inside and outside of or organisation to do this.

Key Accountabilities include:
Technical

• Use deep technical expertise and proven experience on innovative finance and delivering enterprise development programmes to lead on the delivery and/or support of existing (eg. 3 Ukraine, Kumwe Hub) and upcoming (eg Turkey, Nigeria, Ethiopia) Enterprise Development programmes to exit point.
• Use proven commercial experience to support the development and delivery of the strategy to explore SCUK's commercial opportunities such as shared value partnerships.
• Provide guidance and advice on existing SCUK commercial initiatives.
• Work on the development of a “best-practice” advisory service for SCUK to support Enterprise Development programmes for local contexts.

About You
