As Supporter Experience Manager, you will help us to champion and improve audience experience across the charity, including our support services, fundraising, campaigns, and marketing activity. You’ll focus on mapping, developing, managing, and analysing a matrix of multi-channel journeys with the overall goal of increasing impact, deepening engagement and loyalty, and driving up income.

You will be reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager and will work closely with teams across the organisation to showcase key insights and make actionable recommendations, considering how objectives, content, channels, and targeting can best be used to optimise the audience experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Audit all our current audience journeys, identifying the key KPIs for each and analysing how well the journeys are achieving their aims.

· Use data analysis to identify where audiences experience could be improved (e.g. overlapping communications, pain points) and highlighting where good practice exists.

· Prioritise journey development based on organisational goals and impact vs input, balancing quick wins with longer-term improvements.

· Working with teams across the organisation, showcase key insights and make actionable recommendations to both our journey matrix and individual journeys, considering how objectives, content, channels, and targeting can best be used to optimise the audience experience.

· Contribute to, and help to implement, new processes so we can better plan and manage individual journeys, as well as our journey matrix.

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing & Communications Team at Imperial College Union. This new role will be key in strengthening our online presence and improving student engagement with the Union. The Role

Doorstep Library is a community-focused literacy charity dedicated to bringing the magic of books and the joy of reading directly into the homes of children who need our support. We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to head up our fundraising and marketing teams.

JOB PURPOSE

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Development and delivery of the charity’s fundraising strategy

About the role 

As Senior Politics and Public Affairs Advisor you will Lead our parliamentary engagement across the work we do delivering high-impact change strategies whilst building and holding relationships with parliament.  You will lead our government relations and public affairs work in helping to reduce child poverty and improve childcare. Working closely with colleagues in media to influence and government and address these issues. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead political influencing and develop advocacy strategies for Save the Children's work. 
• Identify lobbying opportunities and enable colleagues to exploit them fully using powerful evidence, trusted relationships, and innovative and creative tactics that help Save the Children stand out in a crowded arena.
• Provide strategic political insight and ensure systematic monitoring, analysis and dissemination of political intelligence. 
• Represent SCUK externally, actively networking and building constructive relationships with parliamentarians, government/opposition, advisers, officials, trade unions, political parties, think tanks, NGOs and media to support SCUK's influencing and profile building. 
• Manage SCUK's contact with ministers, and senior civil servants; identifying and creating opportunities to influence processes through lobbying, consultations, inquiries, bills and other mechanisms. 
• Work with team members to ensure that campaigning and advocacy is integrated and consistent, and that campaigning outputs are designed to create policy change. 

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Significant operational experience of structures, processes and trends in the UK political system. 
• Knowledge of international development, conflict and humanitarian issues and / or social policy particularly child poverty
• Track record of building and maintaining relationships which lead to policy impact, either in Parliament, with Government or soft power institutions.
• Proven ability to think and plan strategically, with a track record of achieving political change 
• Demonstrable understanding of, and experience in managing, political risk and an understanding of the operating environment for charities, particularly around challenges to charity campaigns and advocacy.

The Start Fund Programme Officer will work as part of a team to implement the global Start Fund, which is the Start Network's flagship programme disbursing around £20m in awards to network member organisations each year. The global Start Fund provides rapid financing in response to underfunded small to medium scale crises, spikes in chronic humanitarian crises, and in anticipation of impending crises, filling a critical gap in humanitarian financing.

The Start Network is made up of more than 50 aid agencies across five continents, ranging from large international organisations to national NGOs. The Start Network is at a critical point in its journey. We have grown and diversified our membership over the past 10 years. We are now set to evolve into a decentralised “network of networks” by 2025. We are currently working with five national and regional networks (hubs) in Pakistan, DRC, Guatemala, India and the Pacific. They are developing locally led ways of anticipating and responding to humanitarian crises. We aim to support the emergence and development of further Hubs in the coming years. Our ultimate ambition is to devolve leadership, membership, programming and decision making to the hubs, while the UK team transitions to provide services of support.

The team of Start Fund Programme Officers work with colleagues across both Save the Children UK (SCUK) and the Start Network.

About the Role

Key for the post-holder is engagement with Start Network member organisations, and effective coordination with the wider Start team, to ensure that the Start Fund continues to enable early, timely and effective humanitarian action.

You will also play a role in identifying and implementing technological solutions to improve Start Fund operational efficiency, and collaborating with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team to ensure that learning contributes to strengthened programming, and a continually improving funding mechanism (the Start Funds). You will also support other areas of fund management, currently including crisis anticipation and support to national Start Funds (e.g., Start Fund Bangladesh and Start Fund Nepal).

The role includes working with a wide range of stakeholders within SCUK and other agencies within the Start Network and Start Platform.

You will also be responsible for project and team administration, such as processing of disbursements and record keeping of all project documents. You will support reporting, project compliance and escalate complaints and incidents. Furthermore, you will:

• Be responsible for Grant management throughout the Start Fund alert cycle.
• Provide support to the Start Fund Committee representatives and humanitarian personnel world-wide, in the decision-making processes.
• Implement the Start Fund, while identifying ways on which the programme could be improved from an operational perspective.
• Support MEAL colleagues to capture data accurately, analyse learning and emerging patterns to enable effective monitoring, evaluation and learning.
• Contribute to the mainstreaming of anticipation and early action in the Start Funds through information sharing and capacity strengthening initiatives.
• Support members, particularly local and national NGOs in accessing Start Fund through member engagement activities and critical review and support with Start Fund process adaptations.

About You

To be successful you will have experience working within the humanitarian sector and proven experience of project cycle management and financial management. As well as a flexible ‘can do' attitude, you should have the ability to manage an unpredictable workload and use your initiative. Strong data management and analysis skills are essential, as is:

• Experience in organising events and engaging varied stakeholders in complex issues.
• Proven skills in developing log frames, proposals and budgets, and in reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at different levels.
• Competency in a second language, preferably Spanish, French or Arabic.
• Demonstrable experience of collaboration, including forging and maintain effective new relationships and partnerships, often across organizational boundaries.
