This is an exciting opportunity to chair our newly formed Safeguarding Panel and provide strategic advice and guidance on embedding an excellent safeguarding culture in SeeAbility.

The independent safeguarding chair role will be to:

• Help prepare our Safeguarding Panel meeting agendas.
• Chair these meetings.
• Provide effective scrutiny of SeeAbility’s safeguarding performance.
• Champion Making Safeguarding Personal.
• Constructively challenge those responsible for maximising performance.
• Help shape SeeAbility’s safeguarding implementation plan.
• Monitor progress of the plan.

Your experience & personal characteristics 

You will have experience of leading and managing others in senior positions and of chairing complex meetings productively.

You will have up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding adults legislation and best practice and extensive experience or safeguarding in the public and/or voluntary sector.

You will be a strong advocate for creating a safer culture and encouraging change.

Do you have a serving attitude and are you passionate about IT? We are looking for an IT Support Specialist who enjoys helping our users across the globe with their technical support needs. As an IT Support Specialist, you will seek optimal user experience by handling and coordinating tickets, training users, and identifying possibilities for improvements. Our technical environment is standard Microsoft M365, Entra, D365, etc. combined with a mix of commercial security tools and custom applications. This position reports directly to the ODI IT Infra & Service Delivery Manager. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Monitor and triage incoming tickets (Freshservice ITSM tool), provide timely response to all issues, update internal customers on status, solicit additional information, if needed;

• Responsible for the full professional handling of customer questions, requests, and incidents and take measures when issues arise; 

• Identify possibilities for structural improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT services, for example using PowerAutomate or similar;

• Training and advising individual users in secure and efficient use of IT systems;

• Act as a key first point of contact for UK staff 

• Develop and update  support documentation.

We're now seeking a self-motivated Welsh Advocacy Coordinator to join our team and help steer Rewilding Britain’s policy and advocacy activities in Wales. The successful candidate will be an innovative, driven and forward-thinking individual with a proven track record of advocacy, policy or influencing work within a relevant sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing charity and directly contribute to the growth of the rewilding movement.

Job purpose:

There's already a growing rewilding movement across Wales. Increasingly, land managers are looking for ways to incorporate rewilding into their practices, at a time the Welsh Senedd is investigating ways for Wales to meet its net zero and nature recovery commitments. Building on this, you'll help support the development and delivery of a collaborative and locally-led rewilding vision and work to ensure that it is mainstreamed within Welsh Government policy and practice.

Objective of the Role:

In collaboration with key Welsh organisations and stakeholders, develop, research and lead the delivery of evidence-based policy influencing, public affairs and campaigning activities which support the mainstreaming of rewilding into policy and practice in Wales.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the planning and delivery of policy and influencing activities in Wales, primarily through working with and developing new partnerships in Wales
• Keeping up to date with changing policies and legislation in relation to rewilding, identifying opportunities to deliver positive change
• Developing relevant policy positions and communicating these in order to influence the Welsh policy environment
• Gathering intelligence and research, summarising evidence and communicating learning in order to develop these policy positions
• Ensuring that the connection between localism, communities, culture and rewilding is integrated into Rewilding Britain’s work in Wales
• Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, particularly with civil servants, policy makers, national and local decision-makers, and campaigning/landowning/marine bodies

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This is a full-time role at 35 hours per week, but we're open to applications from those looking to work 28 hours or more per week.

The salary is £38k - £45k per annum (depending on relevant experience).

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team in London, Delhi or Accra. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.   

As Finance Officer with Clean Air Fund you will support the finance team with a growing organisation and complexity, helping to ensure that the financial processes and procedures of the Clean Air Fund run smoothly, efficiently and effectively, enabling other team members to be effective. 

This role will be responsible for managing all expenses, payments and month end information and processes, such as accruals, bank reconciliations. In addition, they will manage a contracts database and reconciliations between the finance system and the grant management system.

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Manager to support and inspire those who volunteer for the charity. You will lead them in line with the vision, mission and values of the charity and work to fulfil the goals of our strategic plan. You will strengthen our current volunteering strands with effective governance and great communication and will develop new volunteering opportunities within the charity.

You will manage our volunteer-led Branches and Support groups who offer peer support, fundraising opportunities and activities locally. You will also manage HD Voice, our panel of volunteers, who contribute to the internal development of the charity and ensure that the voice of the Huntington’s community is at the heart of research into the condition.

You will co-ordinate all aspects of the volunteer journey from recruitment, selection, induction, training and ongoing support and develop effective policies, procedures and guidance for volunteers as well as developing an effective monitoring and evaluation process.

We are looking for someone with strong volunteer management skills who has experience of training volunteers and of writing policies, procedures and guidance in line with data protection guidance. Also someone with great communication and relationship management skills who has experience of managing volunteers at all stages of their volunteer journey.   

There will be regular evening and weekend work as many of our volunteers work themselves so need the support out of office hours. There will be a need for travel across England and Wales.

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.

This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.

As the Training Programmes Manager you will have oversight and responsibility for the healthcare professional training projects and activities, as well as growing the M4RD network within HCP groups and training institutions.

You will be key to rolling out Rare Disease 101 training for healthcare professionals all over the UK and potentially abroad. While you are not expected to deliver training yourself you will be pivotal to creating opportunities and facilitating all aspects of the programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Co-lead M4RD’s Ambassador Programme, managing the clinical and medical student ambassadors.

• Planning and delivering training events.

• Deliver educational and training projects inline with M4RD’s current strategy and work programme.

• Collaborate  with training institutions and NHS workplaces inline with M4RD’s current strategy and work programme.

• Potential to manage up to two members of the M4RD Team.

• Support the CEO and Operations & Finance Manager with recruitment duties, operational strategy and development and coaching any relevant staff.

In this role you will lead and empower the Executive Team and organisation to deliver high quality services to ensure that patient voices are heard. Working with the Board of Trustees you will develop the organisation’s long term strategy and ensure good governance. You will be the public face in building relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders to deliver impact and improvement and will represent the organisation at strategic meetings to hold services to account.

Pause works with women who have experienced – or are at risk of – repeated pregnancies that result in children needing to be removed from their care. The programme gives women the chance to pause and take control over their lives, breaking a destructive cycle that causes both them and their children deep trauma. We are now working with more women who have experienced multiple removals than anyone else in the country.

The Pause Practice Lead will manage one of our largest teams – six Pause Practitioners and one Coordinator. The Practice Lead will ensure effective delivery of the Pause programme – they will work alongside their team, bringing a wealth of direct practice experience of complex work to maximise the team’s potential. 

The Practice Lead will provide high levels of supervision and leadership to team members from a variety of disciplines, as well ensuring fidelity and integrity to the model. They will typically have significant experience in both operational and project management, with an ability to manage complex data and demonstrate impact. Additionally, they will usually have experience of evidence informed approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively lead and coach the Pause Practice to achieve positive outcomes for women - setting vision, targets and priorities;
• Ensure fidelity and integrity to the model through delivery of the Pause Framework elements, for example, assertive outreach with women and ensuring the most effective form of long-acting reversible contraception is in place;
• Ensure effective pathways are established and maintained with key agencies, e.g. sexual health, housing and mental health;
• Ensure an evidence base is applied to practice through assessment of a woman's needs, case formulation, intervention delivery and review;
• Ensure outcomes are achieved and monitored through the Pause Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework and that real-time data is used to improve practice and reported to relevant funders;
• Report to the Local Pause Board and any other relevant funders;
• Manage expenditure of the Pause Practice and ensure any financial spend on women is aligned with their goals as set out in the care plan;
• Ensure the effective management of all statutory requirements related to the Pause Practice at all times, including safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults, and health and safety of staff;
• Represent Pause to external stakeholders;
• Embed continuous learning ethos within the Pause Practice.
