As Trusts and Grants Lead, you will be responsible for leading on the development and implementation of the trusts and grants strategic plan and lead the team to ensure income secured is in line targets for the current year and the following year/multi-year income. You will Develop and write applications to major trust, grants, statutory and institutional funders to secure five and six-figure, single- and multi-year funding. You will Produce high quality reports and updates for funders, sourcing information from the Services team, and ensuring key reporting timings are met. You will also carry out prospect research and track new funding opportunities to identify new major funding opportunities that align with the organisation services priorities and funding requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A thorough understanding of the essential components of trust and grants fundraising strategies and proven experience of strategy implementation
• Detailed knowledge of the Trusts and Grants landscape
• Proven ability to write creative and compelling bids
• Proven successful experience of soliciting, managing, and securing 5 and 6 figure trusts and grants funding.

The Role

As Head of IS and Data Management you will be responsible for implementing our IS and Data Strategy and driving efficiency using technology across Sanctuary. You will lead on the strategic development, management and operating of the IS systems and data infrastructure whilst managing and motivating the teams to deliver an efficient service across the Charity.

Responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and managing the IS and data strategy which drives the future direction and utilisation of technology within the charity to drive efficiencies and defining business relevant KPI’s to measure its benefits and success.
• Designing and implementing a new target operating model of the charity’s support requirements and implementing standard processes and standard protocols (e.g. ITIL), to improve ongoing controls, customer service, and build a culture of continuous improvement.
• Leading the certification of Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Implementing standards and operating practices for data management, information lifecycle management and security (e.g. cyber essentials plus).
• Leading and continually improving the operational performance of the team to agreed service level agreements.
• Supporting the development of business cases, including presenting on behalf of the Executive Team to the board of Trustees.
• Supporting the Director of Information Systems and Data Management as necessary in championing the use of technology as an innovator and cost reduction enabler.

About You

Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification and/or relevant professional experience, you will have a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business.

You will also:

• Be able to recognise business opportunities and experience of presenting a clear strategic vision of how technology can be applied to achieve success.
• Be able to demonstrate experience of, implementing and managing IT strategies and priorities.
• Have experience of managing n-tier architectures hosted in private and public cloud environments.
• Have a strong working knowledge of fundamental computing concepts to support trouble shooting, problem solving and critical thinking methodologies.

The Role

We are seeking a brilliant major donor fundraiser to play a crucial role in generating funds from HNWIs through major gifts and legacies. As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will step into a newly created position in the team that will focus on creating and implementing a compelling major donor programme.

Your focus will be to inspire giving for investment in the Hall, including initiatives to improve accessibility and sustainability, as well as the Hall’s pioneering community engagement programme. You will be a creative, driven and strategic individual who has a track record of developing engaging supporter journeys and soliciting transformational gifts.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will:

• create and deliver the major donor strategy focused on driving growth and income from HNWIs;
• personally manage a portfolio of philanthropists giving 5, 6 and 7-figure gifts;
• oversee and develop the prospect pipeline, proactively researching potential supporters and utilising networks from senior stakeholders involved in the Hall;
• consistently deliver exceptional stewardship journeys, knowing how to capitalise on the incredible array of events at the Hall as powerful engagement tools;
• produce and present compelling cases for support to secure transformational restricted and unrestricted donations;
• provide leadership and support to the Philanthropy Coordinator;
• work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify and maximise the lifetime support of donors.

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Demonstrable experience of managing and securing 5- and 6-figure+ gifts from HNWIs
• Proven track record of delivering a strong major donor strategy/programme
• Experience identifying major giving opportunities, building a pipeline and being proactive with prospect research
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders of all levels
• Line management experience, and keen interest in motivating and developing direct reports
• A creative flare, team player, proactive and ambitious
• Passion for the arts, sciences and the work of the Royal Albert Hall

Hybrid working, 3-4dpw in Royal Albert Hall, Kensington office. This role will require occasional evening and weekend work in line with the Hall’s events programme, in particular those attended by your donors and prospects.
