Job Purpose:

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the Charity operations. This role is the first point of contact for supporters and requires outstanding customer care/ donor stewardship skills. Main Duties/Tasks

Fundraising & Office duties

Undertake day to day administrative tasks as directed by the Fundraising & People Team Leader and Senior Team, including the preparation of letters, reports and memos, ensuring the work is of a high standard, professional and accurate. Adhering to sensitive information protocols and keeping sensitive information confidential.

Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries in a professional and helpful capacity and direct all incoming calls correctly and take accurate messages. Adhere to any confidential or sensitive information protocols.

Contribute to the efficient running of the public Charity office by receiving all donors and visitors in a welcoming and friendly manner.

Provide excellent customer care/ donor stewardship in all interactions with donors.

Manage the mail, ensuring it is opened, distributed and any donor correspondence is responded to in a timely manner.

Process donations in line with established receipting procedures.

Adhere to audit procedures and liaise with the Charity’s auditors.

Carrying out filing in line with office procedures and ensuring the safe storage and archiving of documents/records on a regular basis.

Hospital & Online Shop

Process online orders for the shop in a timely manner.

Run regular reports for the Fundraising & People Team Leader relating to online sales.

Provide good customer service within the shop inside the hospital Atrium.

Cash up the till, ensuring sales are correctly recorded and takings are passed through for banking.  

Database support

Process donations on the CRM database, liaising with fundraising teams to ensure this is recorded correctly, including from online platforms.

Produce analytical reports from the fundraising database system, for audit purposes.

HR support

Provide HR administrative support within the areas of:

· Recruitment, including coordinating the recruitment process and the induction of new starters;

· Ensuring all staff have a DBS in line with the Trust requirements;

· Administration of staff annual leave allowance and absence reporting;

· Creating staff correspondence letters, including pay award, furlough or other required communication; and

· Attending and minuting HR meetings where required.

Other Duties

Be an outstanding advocate for Alder Hey Children’s Charity in line with the core values of the organisation.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity has recently completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site.

Key responsibilities:

• Management of year end audit and production of statutory accounts including liaison with auditors, dealing with queries and management of the year end timetable.
• Completion of a timely month end process to trial balance stage, which includes a review of our monthly nominal activity report before month end close
• Ensuring that all balance sheets accounts are reconciled monthly, and any differences are dealt with accordingly, including bank reconciliations, intercompany, fundraising income and restricted fund reports
• Responsible for Quarterly VAT Returns, management accounts for our Trading subsidiary and the reconciliation of the intercompany account with the Charity
• Processing of monthly journals including income and expenditure accruals, prepayments, quarterly depreciation, recharges and grant reporting

Purpose of the job/About the role

Research is a key element in Dementia UK’s strategic aims and runs throughout all our approaches to supporting people with dementia and their families. Our research is focused on care not cure, helping to improve lives and support our Admiral Nurses.

As part of the Research and Publications Team, we are currently seeking a Research Team Administrator to support in the delivery of the Dementia UK Research Strategy.

The team administrator will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the Research and Publications (R&P) team, aiding in their operational efficiency, research, and development activities. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the research and publications databases, as well as updating and managing the R&P webpages. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing the team inbox, handling inquiries, and assisting in the management of the team budget. Additionally, you will provide support to team members with their travel arrangements and serve as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders as needed.

The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an administrative role with experience of preparing and drafting meeting papers, taking minutes, and coordinating meetings. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is essential, along with a track record of arranging meetings, teleconferences, and events. With excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills you will be confident communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders as well as meeting deadlines and managing workloads through effective prioritising, time-management, and organisational skills.

I am excited to be working with an amazing health organisation in search of an Interim Services and Innovation Project Manager for 3 – 6 months. Full-time or part-time (4 days a week) will be considered for this Bristol based hybrid role.

As Project Manager your role will be to support the delivery of a number of key organisation activities and objectives. Around 50% of time will be focused on proposition development with the remaining time on delegated tasks to support the Acting Director across other areas of their responsibility and the organisations suite of support services.

Key role and responsibilities:

Project Manager -  a series of innovation sprints, aiming to develop new (support service focussed) fundable propositions for the organisation. Keeping the project on track, to deadline, meeting key deliverables.

Senior Administrator - including scheduling and diary management, project management tools, monitoring and systems.

Researcher – able to confidently conduct desk-based research, sector scoping, research with internal and external stakeholders.

Data and Reporting - collation, data analysis, setting up surveys and using a variety of tools to analyse and present data in an engaging way visually.

Highly digitally and IT confident – especially ppt and visual tool suites like canva, excel.

Report Writer - notes of meetings, discussions, summarising actions and tracking them.

Other varied tasks - related to our support and information service provision e.g. delegation of tasks related to two restricted funded projects, cross team activity like away days and meetings, general administration (like meeting set up/ organising/ research).

We have a very exciting opportunity for anyone who enjoys working on the front-line of patient support across the Dundee, Perth & Kirkcaldy area.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in the region. This varied role deals with every aspect of a patient’s life that supports better outcomes: welfare benefits, practical, emotional and social support. As well as directly supporting patients, you will raise awareness of the wide range of local and national resources available to kidney patients, and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other stakeholder groups in the region.

Based at home (laptop and mobile phone provided), you will be expected to travel independently across the region and manage your own caseload with the support of your line manager and other members of our national friendly, committed team.

We’ll provide the training, you’ll bring enthusiasm and your experience of working with chronically ill patients in a social, care or health role.

The current focus of this role is to analyse and influence the national policy agenda on NHS funding levels, financial performance, payments systems and contracting.
