Harrow Carers work in Partnership with Age UK Hillingdon, Harrow & Brent to deliver a Discharge Support Service in Northwick Park Hospital and we are looking to recruit a Service Coordinator to help us in supporting vulnerable older people in Harrow and Brent who have been in hospital and are now ready for discharge. The service delivers transport home, settle in visits, follow up and community support.

The Service Coordinator will act as the point of contact for the Hospital Discharge and ward teams for referrals. The Service Coordinator will then coordinate the support workers and volunteers to deliver the service - and will be part of the delivery themselves. 

A key part of the role will be to ensure there is good communication with patients and clinicians. You will also need to monitor delivery, oversee record keeping and ensure service quality. 

Please note there is no personal or clinicial care involved in this role.

• Must hold a UK driving licence

The Regular & Digital Giving Officer role is your opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and innovative team and to take our programme to the next level. We are keen to explore ways to grow our programme via crowdfunding, giving days, and by developing a mid-level/leadership giving programme. Introduction to the role

This role will ensure that we are developing partnerships and applying for new funding in line with our business objective and values. We need to ensure that we are maximising our future income potential for new business as well as securing income to continue existing business. This role will work closely with the CEO and other business development colleagues to ensure that TAWS optimises opportunities nationally and regionally as well as across the breadth of the current and future delivery range. You will lead, plan and secure new business in these areas as well as provide line management for a small team of bid writers based nationally.

You will report into the CEO and work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation. You will work in close contact with internal colleagues such as CEO/ business development colleagues/ comms colleagues/ and delivery teams in West Midlands and Essex. Your role will work very closely with head of finance in establishing a clear and reliable pipeline for business opportunities and funding sources going forward.

The main purpose of the role will be to coordinate bids that are effective, well costed, realistic and in line business needs and values, and that we are suitably placed to participate effectively in key partnerships nationally, regionally and locally to ensure that we are able to embed in business areas and build effective partnerships for collaborative larger bids.

Main duties

1. Undertake horizon scanning with the leads of the business development areas to ensure we understand key opportunities and are embedded in key partnerships at a national and local level.
2. Work with colleagues on a joined up business development approach to secure new business and contracts 
3. Increase the number, range, and value of contracts secured in line with our strategic objectives
4.  Build and maintain a range of relevant partnerships to support the winning of new business
5. Maintain up to date market and academic research available on the CRM and other systems within the team
6. Develop and conduct effective business pitches to key decision makers and ensure that they are kept relevant by relevant reviews and updates
7. Manage the bid writing team, oversee and strengthen our current funding operations 
8. Build on the existing portfolio of funding, which includes statutory and commercial tenders, as well as grant funding 
9. Ensure existing funding relationships are positively maintained, and relationships with commissioners are effectively managed, undertaking high-level representation when required 
10. Lead on the preparation of major funding proposals 
11. Track and report on external fundraising trends and help teams match opportunities with strategic priorities 
12. Proactively manage the organisational funding pipeline of opportunities and rolling submissions, as a tool for planning and decision-making 
13. Ensure funding perspectives are integrated into programme-level strategic plans 
14. Support the organisation to realise its income targets 
15. Inspire and manage the bid writing team so that they are motivated, flexible and collaborative in their approach
16. Cultivate relationships with programme leads and support them to develop new projects and services with appropriate funding strategies; Achieve quality proposal submissions, including sign-off responsibility 
17. Ensure effective grant management 
18. To provide overall strategic guidance and leadership of approaches to the development of new business across a range of stakeholders internally and externally. Ensuring that staff working in these business development areas are aware of our values and principles about this work and linked into best practice groups that help them to develop their skills, both internally and externally.
19. Ensure evaluation and insight is used effectively in reporting internally, to funders, partners and to stakeholders
20. Maintain an in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the key policy areas relevant to our work, including work across all of our delivery areas and ensure an up to date knowledge of funding issues, patterns and opportunities.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Income and Partnerships Development team. This person will be reporting to the Head of Partnerships and will coordinate all fundraising activities and volunteers from our alumni, sponsor firms and SEO London supporters. This will be a hands-on role that includes project management, teamwork, reporting and a proactive approach to fundraising initiatives. ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Further Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies: Work closely with the Head of Partnerships to further develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies. Execute fundraising plans to achieve income targets and ensure long-term sustainability.
• Grant Writing and Proposal Development: Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, government organisations and other donor oganisations. Prepare grant expressions of interest, proposals and applications that effectively communicate the need for our work and SEO London’s mission, programmes, and impact.
• Fundraising Events Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, including F1 challenges, Royal Parks Half Marathon and any other fundraising activities. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, marketing, sponsorship, and volunteer coordination.
• Fundraising Volunteers Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer interactions and contributions using excel and other tools. Volunteers to include sponsor firm reps, alumni, our students and other SEO London supporters. Generate reports and analytics to track fundraising progress and campaign effectiveness.
• Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all funder reporting obligations and milestones, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions of reports. Accurately recording and tracking donor contributions, pledges, and grants received.
• Marketing and communication: Work closely with the marketing and communication team to raise awareness of fundraising activities through campaigns on social media and other marketing campaigns. 
• Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with programmes leads, finance team, marketing  and alumni team, to engage firm volunteers, alumni, students and SEO London staff to have a big splash as to our fundraising activity. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, business administration, or a related field. 

Candidates without a degree will be considered if they have at least 2 years relevant and relatable work experience in a similar role. 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for applicants who have at least 2 years demonstrable experience in some of the following areas and will be willing to learn and develop others: 

• Experience in fundraising, grant writing or related roles within the nonprofit sector. 
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including accurate and persuasive writing and presentation skills.

Main duties and responsibilities

Partnership Management 

• Responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting RCUK’s collaborative activity with community and corporate partner organisations in the UK.
• Act as the central link between partner organisations, and our patient and public voice group.
• Manage relationships with both corporate and community partnerships developing strong new relationships and strengthening existing relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

• Lead on the implementation of a new partnership strategy for RCUK working closely with the Director of Communications and Engagement and key internal stakeholders, ensuring it remains relevant and develops across the life of our partnership activity. 
• Lead on developing bespoke individual plans for each partner relationship.
• Lead on proactively researching and developing a pipeline of new partners whose values and mission align with the RCUK vision, presenting progress in monthly stakeholder meetings.

Look no further, we are expanding our fantastic Engagement, Marketing, and Communications team and we are now seeking a Supporter Experience Manager to join us. This role is known internally as an Audience Journey Manager. 

This role is fundamental to deepening engagement, increasing loyalty, and driving up income so we can better deliver our ambitious 5-year strategy to transform survival for pancreatic cancer. You will join us at an exciting time to improve primarily our supporter journeys but will also focus on audience experience across the charity, including our support services, fundraising, campaigns, and marketing activity.  You’ll be taking stock of our current journeys - working with a wide range of stakeholders to evaluate what is working well, where there are overlaps and pain points, and how we can make improvements. You will then continually champion the needs and expectations of our audiences in the development of new journeys and activities, working as part of other transformational programmes to deliver a first-class experience for our audiences. 

You’ll also be providing clear and practical support to steer teams to work in a more audience-centered way and your approach will be based on data-led insights, making use of a suite of exciting new tools and audience analysis we have recently undertaken.  

About you 

• Experience in mapping, developing, managing, and analysing a matrix of multi-channel journeys. 
• Experience in analysing various forms of audience insights to develop tangible actions for teams to apply to their activities
• Experience in championing the audience voice and encouraging teams to shift to a more audience-centred way

The role

As our Finance & Operations Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our charity. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive,  you'll be part of a small but impactful team, dedicated to improving awareness, knowledge, policy, and research related to GBS infection prevention and treatment.

Key responsibilities:

Financial and accounting (70%)

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial accounting procedures and records for the charity
• Handle data entry for financial transactions with precision.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, including monthly management accounts.
• Assist with payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Implement effective internal financial controls.
• Provide training and support to team members on financial procedures.
• Document clear and up-to-date procedure notes for all areas of responsibility

Human resources support (15%)

• Assist with HR administration tasks, including employee records and contracts

About the role

Our Store Manager Designates provide support to stores within a specific area. Maximising sales and profits as well as supporting with the day to day running of the stores. Covering stores across Greater Manchester and parts of Yorkshire, you will work closely with the field and store teams. You will gain insight in to different stores across the region and be actively involved in new store openings.

This is a great development role towards store management. You will receive full training and we will then look to appoint you in your own store once a position becomes available.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding Programmes Officer for an exciting opportunity to support Street Child’s programme portfolio in Liberia and Sierra Leone. This role will cut across Street Child’s programming in the region, including a specific focus on the $12.8m Education for Every Child Today (EFECT) Project which aims to enrol 96,000 out of school children in school across West Africa over a 4-year period.

The key objectives of this role are to work closely with Street Child’s federal partners to support the effective implementation of adaptive programming, and to support accurate and timely donor reporting across a range of institutional, trust & foundations, and corporate donors. The ideal candidate will have strong written and excel skills, with experience of MEAL and financial management processes. The role will engage regular, detailed interaction with Street Child’s UK and European fundraising community.

The role holder will work in close collaboration with Street Child’s regional Head of Programmes, based in Freetown, as well as partner Programmes, MEAL and Finance teams to coordinate timely and quality implementation and reporting across the programmes portfolio.

Based in Monrovia, whilst serving a regional brief, the role-holder will be expected to be especially involved in supporting the programmes, and wider life, of Street Child of Liberia. This aspect of the role in particular demands a confident, ‘self-sufficient’ and motivated personality – who is excited by the opportunity and attendant career potential, as opposed to being overawed by the inevitable, multi-dimensional challenges.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 35%

• Review narrative and financial quarterly reporting from country teams and provide feedback.
• Lead on the consolidation of narrative reporting (low-mid value donors) for a variety of donors within the portfolio.
• Ensure regular information flow to Street Child communications and fundraising teams, inclusive of collection and drafting of case studies and photos.
• Supporting income-generation opportunities - potentially including supporting donor visits, in-country donor engagement and broad-based support to the group’s global programme-funding efforts for both Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Programme & MEAL Management – 35%

• Work in collaboration with national partner and cross-country implementation teams across Liberia and Sierra Leone to ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities.
• Work alongside social, enterprise and education teams across both countries to support a joined-up approach to project implementation and MEAL, ensuring relevant data are collected with due care and utilised for project planning, reporting and learning.
• Provide strong support to EFECT programme staff and partners in Liberia & Sierra Leone in programme and MEAL department.
• Alongside colleagues provide training, guidance and advice to partner delivery staff to ensure effective and accurate use of programme documents and tools.
• In liaison with Safeguarding Focal Points monitor safeguarding policies ensuring adequate implementation of policies and procedures, and support to close feedback loops with partners & project participants.
• Provide capacity strengthening to Street Child Colleagues where possible.

Financial Support – 25%

• Support the country teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.
• Support on the collation of financial reporting requirements for low-mid value donors.
• Support on tracking of donors & match funding within the EFECT programme.

Other – 5%

• Coordinating staff, stakeholders and donor visits.
