Reporting to the Global Relations Manager, the Communications Officer will be responsible for the consistent delivery of all CTO communication targets. The post holder will develop and implement CTO communication and stakeholder relationship policies and protocols, that recognise best practice approaches and the culture of the CTO. The Communications Officer will ensure the CTO website is always updated and monitored and is the CTO’s primary communications channel. You will collaborate with the IT Administrator to ensure the CTO’s internal and external communication is technologically driven and designed to encourage real-time information-sharing and feedback.

We are looking for an all-rounded communications professional with significant experience in a similar capacity in an organisation with a comparable scope and complexity. Our Stoke Community Drug and Alcohol service are recruiting for an experienced Senior Non Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are a registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who thrives working in a community setting, assessing and supporting people with their healthcare issues, this might be just the role for you.

As a Senior Non Medical Prescriber, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical assessment, diagnosis and clinical management in line with both With You and National regulations, policies and procedures. Working under the support of a Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership and clinical supervision (in conjunction with the Clinical Lead) for the Stoke service, coordinating clinical staff in line with best practice, contract and Commissioners requirements.

You will also support, deliver and facilitate high quality educational learning and development opportunities for clinical and non clinical staff to ensure that evidence based prescribing is practised and policy awareness is robust.

You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are  prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:

• harm reduction; providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse
• clinics; where we assess, screen and triage clients, advising on detoxification where appropriate
• vaccination and blood testing programmes
• Giving treatment and interventions in a holistic manner as required by the client within your competence 

You will be used to working effectively as a healthcare professional, as part of a team and collaboratively with other social care contacts to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

This role will join our Marketing and Communications directorate, an innovative team of people who are committed to raising the profile of WithYou and connecting with our stakeholders in new ways. 

Reporting into the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will take the lead in running the reactive press office function as well as planning and delivering a regular calendar of national proactive media moments, securing positive national coverage in print, broadcast and digital channels. You will also be responsible for evaluating the results and measuring the impact of the media coverage you secure.

In this role you will be responsible for developing a wide range of high- quality media materials including press releases, opinion pieces, blogs and statements.

You will provide co-ordinated localised media and general communications support to our Regional Heads of Marketing and Communications. This includes taking a proactive approach to generating story ideas in local areas, coordinating joint press activities and attending press opportunities in England and Scotland. 

You will also contribute to other content development such as collecting stories, producing film, photo and social media and website posts, working to grow WithYou’s reputation and influence, supporting our income generation activities.

This is a full time, permanent position based from home. The salary for this role is £37,000 - £42,000 per annum.

REQUIRED SKILLS

We are looking for candidates with excellent creative writing skills and experience in creating content for a wide range of audiences, making complex articles interesting and accessible to all. You will have an excellent news sense and the ability to generate a hook for a story, with proven ability in securing media coverage. Strong organisational skills and being able to plan ahead are key to this role, along with experience of working to tight deadlines.

I liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth running and delivery of project activity. I also support the wider team on physical health and activity related projects.

Main Purpose of the Post

This post will play a key role in ensuring that Women's Aid continues to be recognised and respected for the survivor-centred expert voice on domestic abuse, with a particular lead on amplifying the voices of our member services. In particular, the post holder will be responsible for delivering an organisation-wide local influencing strategy and lead on other areas of strategic policy focus.

The post holder will work closely with the Policy and Membership teams to ensure that Women’s Aid responds effectively to the implementation of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the Health and Social Care Act, and Victim and Prisoners Bill. The role will be responsible for building sustainable relationships and influence with key local stakeholders across England, including local authorities, commissioners, and Women’s Aid member services.

You will: provide line management to the Policy & Practice part of the Policy team; ensure that the public, stakeholders, Women’s Aid’s member services and staff are supported with policy expertise on a range of areas; champion best commissioning practice; coordinate policy responses to government and other agencies; and work with senior leaders across the organisation to ensure that Women’s Aid and its members are equipped to seize key policy opportunities. The post holder will seek to ensure that Women’s Aid has a robust local network across England and a long-term strategy for influence.

Role outline and purpose
Working as a key link between the Philanthropy team and wider organisational teams, the Philanthropy Content Reporting Manager – Trusts will create specific reporting materials for our key funders. You will hold responsibility for a reporting schedule for named partners and work closely with our impact and finance teams to track progress of funded projects and ensure that we deliver partner/funder updates in line with agreements. 

You will have experience of supporting high-value fundraising teams and be adept at building strong relationships across the organisation to help inform the Trusts team about the activities and outputs of our operational teams. You will understand complex qualitative and quantitative data and use this to write up, design and produce high-quality communications for donors. You will be confident at taking the lead on the reporting requirements of our relationship managers, with efficiency and effectiveness. 
 
Responsibilities
• Lead on the bespoke and restricted high-quality reports for funders in line with grant conditions 
• Work closely with our project delivery, impact, communications and finance teams to ensure funds are delivering greatest impact for our donors 
• Keep up to date on project delivery plans and aspirations 
• Understand and translate both qualitative and quantitative information and present these in a visually compelling, digestible format 
• Provide insight and performance information to help inform team strategy/projections, including the management of CRM, financials, and KPI reporting requirements

Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.

Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. Many of these young people are unable to finish their formal education as they are experiencing poverty, so our courses are completely free, to ensure no-one is excluded from the opportunity to learn.

Our free training courses also address any of the barriers which may stop a young person from being able to learn. We offer the Seed of Hope students in Kenya;

• free lunches everyday, you can’t learn when you’re hungry.

• menstrual hygiene packs to ensure girls don’t miss lessons because they can’t afford sanitary pads.

• childcare vouchers to ensure young mothers can learn.

• Life skills lessons addressing sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence, knowing and asserting your rights, advocating for gender equality etc.

• and perhaps most importantly, counselling and mental health support. Many young students are coping with the most unimaginable trauma and mental health conditions.

We’re here to support young people with whatever they need in order for them to achieve their best in their training course and to go on to secure a job, or start a small business.

We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You’ll support with crafting engaging funding applications, which stand out from the crowd and capture the funders hearts. You’ll create bright and positive social media and blog posts to share the uplifting stories of students and graduates from Seed of Hope and grow our online supporter base, in turn increasing our donors.

We don’t mind if you don’t have charity experience, we’re willing to train you and show you what we do. We are looking for someone who can write excellent content and showcase what we do.

Hours: 14 hours per week, to be worked as either full 7 hour days, or spreading the hours across the week. Regular days and hours to be agreed in advance.

Salary: £28,000 (pro-rata for 14 hours a week)

Pension: 3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution (opt-out available).

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract. With a view to making it permanent if resources allow.

Base: The role will be home-based and require your own computer. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, expenses will be paid in accordance with our Expenses Policy. Our other 2 part-time staff are based in Sussex, but you can be anywhere in the UK. You must have the right to work in the UK.

The role of the Philanthropy Manger is to work with the whole team to meet targets and build the team strategy. Skills in developing long-term transformational funder relationships are also key. About the Role:

The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below:

• To act as organisational lead for CYP, ensuring effective development and delivery of operational and strategic policy.
• To represent VS externally to influence policy, and work collaboratively with business development and external partners to grow services.
• To progress our CYP strategic priorities to grow our portfolio, improve access and embed procedures, tools and resources to improve the quality of our support.
• To oversee the delivery of our WeMatter online programme for CYP affected by Domestic Abuse and ensure that funding and evaluation requirements are achieved.

• To design and undertake thematic audits to drive improvements.
• To ensure that our systems support staff and volunteers to provide quality support to CYP.

This role is home based but some travel is required across England and Wales to attend meetings, deliver training and undertake audits.

This is a national role, which will lead the implementation and ongoing development of our new case management approach and support framework for CYP services. We are looking for a dynamic individual, with a creative flare who can drive and lead change. You will have excellent communication skills and experience of developing accessible procedures and engaging resources for a range of audiences. You will have sound knowledge of the criminal justice system and the impacts of crime, trauma, and victimisation on children and young people, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to provide high quality and responsive services. NEA’s Energy Advisers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident.  Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups.  They also get involved in a range of tasks to support these activities.  Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed 

Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others.  Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households. 

You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.

You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.

You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders - with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

NEA has several office locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and welcomes applicants from all regions, however we would particularly welcome applications from those living in Kent and the South-East.  Home working and office-based locations are available.
