About the role
We are looking for an experienced Children and Family Worker to support survivors of trafficking and other forms of violence who are parents, and their children.
For parents, you will play a crucial part in helping them develop their capacity and parenting skills, both practically and emotionally; enabling them and their children to live safe and happy lives. You will build strong, trusting and compassionate relationships, empowering survivors to find their voice and learn and develop skills to support their families.
For children, you will design and deliver sessions, activities and educational outings to provide enriching experiences that encourage learning, wellbeing, creativity and social development. The Children and Families Worker will work collaboratively with internal teams, partner charities, social enterprises, and local agencies to create a supportive environment for children and families on their journey of recovery and towards independence.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Development Worker to join our Cambridgeshire team on a Full time basis. The post will be home based with work across Cambridgeshire including advocacy drop ins, advocacy groups and providing training to support people to learn to advocate for themselves. You will begin to develop a team of volunteers that can support some of this work.
You will be promoting POhWER who support a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs, so experience of networking will be valuable, along with a good working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations.
The successful applicant will be a self-starter with a proven track record in relationship establishment and development and also have experience in community engagement. You will receive a full personalised induction programme and role specific training. Your line manager and supervisor will support you as you develop into your role. A full induction and training schedule will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in, or a good understanding of, advocacy, information and advice or similar role - ideally in a health, social care or voluntary setting and will have experience of promoting the support of vulnerable adults. More importantly to us, you will need to share our values and passion about advocacy. This is an opportunity to add real value to the lives of vulnerable people.

About the role
We are looking to recruit a permanent multi-skilled advocate to join our busy Berks multi- disciplinary team, working up to 37 hours per week, minimum of 28 hours, starting salary £23,611 per annum, (pro rata).
In this exciting role you will be acting as an independent advocate supporting clients to ensure they get their voices heard. This may include providing advocacy across a number of different strands, such as the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and Mental Health Act.
What we need from you
We are looking for someone who has the creativity and enthusiasm to support people in difficult circumstances, ideally has experience in a health or social care and may have their own life experiences relevant to the role. If you haven’t got advocacy qualifications it’s not a problem, we will provide the required training.
As this role is home based with regular travel, mainly but not exclusively in the Berkshire area, you must have access to both a stable home broadband service and easy access to transport as well as flexibility with working hours.
There may be times when work is required outside normal working hours so flexibility is required.
We also need you to live within Berkshire or surrounding counties.

Job Purpose
Our Bright Futures programme provides mentoring, employability, and wellbeing support for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people aged 14 – 25 years. We believe that increasing opportunities for young people is crucial for the future of their communities. We work directly with them through tailored mentoring and consistent support to build motivation, confidence, and resilience. The aim is to enable the next generation to overcome socio-economic barriers, engage in wider society, and be active changemakers for their community.
We are in an exciting growth phase and are looking for 2 Project Workers for the team to rapidly extend programme reach and impact. As part of the team, the Project Workers will together be involved in overall programme planning, delivery, and community outreach with a focus on skills development and employment prospects. About this role
The MENA Death Penalty Caseworker will undertake a range of activities in support of Reprieve’s work on cases of individuals on death row or at risk of the death penalty across the MENA region, including casework and investigations into individual cases and the broader death penalty landscape, support to Reprieve clients, and support to partner organisations and lawyers in the MENA region and beyond.
The MENA Death Penalty Caseworker is an integral member of the MENA Team, and will work closely with the Media, Campaigns and Digital, and UK and US Policy teams, and the Directors and Deputy Directors.
Location and salary
This role is a full-time, permanent contract based in our London office. The annual salary is £40,964 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% per week from the London office, and the rest from home. Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office.

To succeed in the role you will need to demonstrate:
- Commitment to removing barriers to power for people with lived experience, and commitment to anti-racist practices.
- Understanding of how the UK’s hostile refugee protection and asylum system impacts those affected by it.
- Insight into the needs, experiences and hopes of refugees and people seeking asylum.
- Ability to compile and input data, and use Windows-based software packages (preferably Microsoft Office: spreadsheets, databases, word-processing packages), with the ability to produce information materials.
- Ability to manage and prioritise own workload.
- Good spoken English and written communication skills.
- Basic research skills and the ability to compile information.
- Commitment to and understanding of the principles of confidentiality, impartiality and equality of opportunity.
- Ability to work constructively and sensitively with a wide range of colleagues, counterparts in other agencies and user representatives.
- Flexible approach to tasks undertaken.
- Experience of using Sage accounting software desirable.
- Staff will be office based with opportunity to work from home.
- Experience and understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with people from a range of different cultures.
- Ability to travel in the UK with occasional overnight stays away from home.

Salary: £36,648 starting salary per annum plus 4,087.65 Inner London Weighting if based in London. (salary range will increase due to max £39,186 via the length of service) per annum (pro rata where applicable).
Contract: Permanent basis
Hours: Full-Time 35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)
Location: Any Refugee Action office: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford. We will consider UK- based hybrid working option. (Some travel in the UK with occasional overnight stays away from home will be required).

- Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of collaborative partnership working.
